Shadespire is a card/board game hybrid.
Sigmar skirmish is a game like mordheim/hinterlands for models already in production which everyone already owns. You basically get the rules and can play right away.

You take 30 Bloodletters, buff them with Sayl, buff them with Lord of War from a general, and have a Bloodsecrator. Optionally you can buff them with a Bloodstoker as well so they don't fail to reach the opposite deployment zone.

Hey now, I ain't a player of either. I just like a little bit of making fun of overly self-absorbed pop culture trope every now and then.

It's really easy at this level. But when it comes to fantasy battle orcs taking themselves seriously, I run out of material for fun. It is as if the worst people possible failed to catch the nuance, and were instead impressed with it.
>>
Can I get some feedback on my list before I buy the models I'm missing to make it? I'd really like to give the overseer's fate twisters a try and this looks like the cheapest way of bringing the battalion.

Allegiance: Tzeench
Heroes:
- Herald of Tzeench on a Burning Chariot (general)
- Lord of Change
- The Changeling
- The Blue Scribes
- Tzaangor Shaman
Battleline:
- Burning Chariots of Tzeench x 3
Other:
- Exalted Flamer of Tzeench x2
- Tzaangor Skyfires
Battalions:
Overseer's Fate Twisters
2000/2000 points

I still didn't figure out the weapons and extra spells, but I'm thinking of bringing a bunch of firestorms/bolts of Tzeench to abuse the extra destiny dice
>>
>>53255313
missed the x2 on the skyfires
>>
>>53255313
Does anyone use slaves to darkness mark tzeentch?
All the Tzeentch armies I see only contain the new stuff
>>
>>53255435
Tzeentch doesn't have buffs for marked units like Nurgle and Khorne. They're only good for taking Marauders to fill battleline, since Tzaangors with shields are nearly as defensive while being better in every single other way. occasionally you might see a Sorcerer Lord in a Tzaangor deathstar or Tzeentch Archaon list.
>>
>>53255585
Tzaangors obselete warriors is what I meant.
>>
>>53255585
I never see them in any lists other than slaanesh actually, probably because the only units slaanesh has are hellstriders
>>
>>53255671
They work with Mortal Nurgle since it has good formations that need to filled out and otherwise you're limited to Blightkings. Marauders aren't so shitty for 60 points when they're in an Archaon Nurgle list and get 2 attacks 2 wounds from Glottkin, 5+ ward from Harbinger, 6+ ward from warshrine, and -1 to be hit from battalion.
>>
I've finally got through the final stage of grief over Warhammer Fantasy and I want to ask; are there any books for AoS you'd recommend /aosg/?

Generally I read the books for 40k and Fantasy and it'd inspire me to build and paint certain models, what's the fluff like for AoS so far? All I've really read is the wiki stuff.
>>
If you have an ability that triggers on a save of 6 and your opponent is attacking with a unit with rend does it reduce the save roll so that the ability no longer activates?
>>
>>53255882
City of Secrets is the most fun so far. The early Realmgate books are literary toy commercials for Sigmarines and Khorne, but the later ones are really good. Theres a variety of quick reads for different factions that showcase stories about certain units or lore friendly battalions.
>>
>>53254272
FEC team looks like it was built just to show off models rather than be functional.
>>
>>53255585

can you use the destiny dice to activate Archaon's slayer of kings ability (assuming you have 2 sixes in the pool)?
if so, Tzeentch Archaon lists sound pretty terrifying
>>
>>53254682
AoS skirmish is just going to be AoS kill team, utilizing the core AoS rules for small scale and individual models.

It's not going to be a new mordheim

But for a rulebook for only $10 I don't see a reason not to get it lol.
>>
I have no interest in playing AoS proper but would consider playing an AoS skirmish game if it's actually a dedicated Skirmish game and not just AoS with half the rules cut off.

Does anyone know what the specifics are going to be yet?
>>

With Infusion arcanum and a sorcerer lord he can be running around with a 2+ save rerolling 1 and 5 swords attacks at 2+/2+ rerolling to hit and wound that activate slayer of kings on a 5+.

If he takes Shield of Fate instead he can reroll saves up to rend-3.

If he takes Treacherous Bond you can give him a practically infinite number of wounds.

How much hate am I gonna get for playing Skaven (specifically Skyre because I love me some weird tech)?

None if you don't powergame. The main problem is that people take Sayl the faitnless to teleport stormfeinds. Its unfluffy too because he has nothing to do with skaven.

Quick! Post a thousand point list of your favorite faction in AoS, then explain why you like those dudes.

Its Wednesday. Bottle will be doing a battle report for all non-WHTV subscribers

I've got a game coming up this Wednesday against SCE. I've got Brayherd, some Warherd, Slaves and Skaven and 2000pts to work with. Currently something like this:
Allegiance: Chaos
Beastlord (80)
- General
- Pair of Man-ripper Axes
- Trait: Dark Avenger
- Artefact: Crown of Conquest
Malagor, The Dark Omen (120)
Wargor Standard Bearer (80)
Slaughterpriest with Hackblade and Wrathhammer (100)
Warp Lightning Cannon (180)
Doomwheel (140)

2x Gors [2handweapon] -10 man (160)
2X Bestigors - 10 man (280)
Chaos Warriors [handweapon/shield] - 20man (360)
Stormfiends (300)
Bullgors (180)

Warp Lightning Cannon (180)
Doomwheel (140)

Thoughts being I can pull/lure things into a good charging position for me on turn 2, turn 1 if very lucky. Dish out mortal wounds to Decimators or heroes coming my way, and try to win objective. I've never faced Stormcasts and it looks like they nuke wizards and need rend to crack reliably

Kurnoths have rend-1 and 4 damage per unit. 9 of them can shoot your dragon and do jack shit. They also don't appear in huge hordes because people takes scythes on some of them and Sylvaneth behemoths and formations eat so many points.

With Skyfires you see 12+ of them and instead of saving its just lol heres your 12 mortal wounds. Then they fly halfway across the board. If you get your guys close they get charged and you have to watch his archers do 20+ damage in melee.
>>
>>53264694
Yeah the issue with Skyfires is when you get those armies with 20+ skyfires, and the bare minimum of Battleline units. Much like how gunlines are cancer to meet, except these guys move too fast to be caught easilly.
>>
>>53260437
Dispossessed
1 Warden King 120
2 Runelords 160
1 Josef Bugman 100

10 Warriors 100
10 Longbeards 140
10 Quarrellers 120
10 Ironbreakers 160
10 Miners 120

I like it because I love dwarfs and because deep striking dwarfs is fun when people expect you to be a slow as hell melee army.
Runelord shields+Ironbreakers=absurdly tanky dudes.

I have yet to do much more than 1000 point games. I've had a few hovering around 1500-1800 and they didn't seem any more or less balanced to me.

Alright /aosg/ help me decide a bad guys army. I'm currently collecting stormcast.

I'm drawn to Rotbringers and misc Nurgle, but I had a crazy idea for a Death force of undead pirates, led by Arrrrrkan the Blackbeard with 3 mortis engines converted/scratchbuilt to look like the derelict remains of a pirate ship in 3 parts, each part held up by spirit hosts that look like water.

I also have an idea to do some small un-life boats, with a corpsemaster paddling, and have his paddles hitting the swarm of zombies that hold his boat up.

Armies at 1k can be just as cheesy if not more so because your opponents usually have more limited options. Kunnin Rukk + Thundertusk fits in 1k for instance. Most people just don't cheese at 1k because it would be ruthless.

You can abuse skryre to some extent, which people find not that fun (Mainly; if you run several Stormfiend units with 3x warpfire throwers)

But in general you can avoid those pitfalls, and even if you bring a heavy ammount of them they can be played around.

It probably has too many cheap infantry, but with whats in the list I'd combine my Bestigors into one unit so the Beastlord can support them better and all of them can get my Mystic Shield. I'd screen in front of them with Ungors, have one 10 gors hold an objective, and make a 30 block as a second combat unit. Run Crown of Command and Lord of War so the big units always have inspiring presence and the Bestigors have +2/+3 against most units.

I ran a unit of 40 Moonclan Grots with a bunch of nets in a recent doubles tournament. That, coupled with a Warboss sulking at the back made them pretty formidible.
>>
>>53267418
>Would the Chieftain not just get rekt by ranged since there's no way of hiding him?

yeah probably, you can always take two or overload your opponents target priority.

A giant horde of shitty rats is more the Clan Pestilens thing anyway. They gain effectiveness deployed in mass amounts of disposable min size units.
>>
>>53267418
Shield him with the clanrats? Don't know precisely about this since I think my group speaks with some unspoken houserules about LoS.

By the way,
>3 units of 20 clanrats
> 20 stormvermin
> 3 x 60pt weapon teams
> Warlord
> Verminus clawpack
runs you at 1000 pt precise.

Equip your guy with the crown of conquest and a trait of your choosing and you have a decent horde army. They'll retain their +2 bravery bonus for quite some time and you get some mortal wound spam if you just take 3 warpfire throwers.

I played GW games a long time ago, and with a bit of free time right now, decided to come back to the hobby. My old models for WFB/w40k are gone, so I have to stright back up from 0. I noticed the sky pirate dwarfs and fell in love with them . the models look great. So I borrowed a pad from a friend and build this army to start with
2xArkonatu company
2xskywarden boxs
1x Arkonatu Admiral
1xFriget
1xunit of those gun dwarfs.
Then I noticed how much they cost. I asked around in the FLGS, which were many to be honest as 3 of the ones I knew were closed, but all had the same cost as the GW store.
Now is there a way to start the army for cheaper? the army is just a starting one and it already costs twice as much as the army I had back in 4th ed, and those models were metal.
Are there some sort of recasters or do you have to buy models at full price nowadays. I haven't been playing for like 16 years, so am totaly out of touch with how table tops work now.
>>
>>53269294
>Now is there a way to start the army for cheaper?
Most retailers sell GW stuff at 15-25% off and offer free shipping for large enough orders

The problem with starting KO is that theyre a new faction and they dont have any bundles (yet). If youre looking for a cheap starter army then look at getting a Start Collecting box for a different faction
>>
>>53269345
Ok, how many starter sets would I need? I did not download the general handbook yet, couldn't find it anywhere. From what I know, people here play 2000-2500pts games. Are Imperial knightly orders still part of some faction?
>>
>>53265526
You're missing like 30 more ungors for that formation, but okay.

Just use the furious brayherd formation (compendium) instead. At 1000, it's better to go without the warscroll tho
>>
>>53256887
The campaign rules are pretty much fine. I don't like that it requires use of costs and warscrolls from the generals handbook though, I might give it a shot.
>>
>>53269521
Depends on the faction you want to play

Knightly Orders were cut from the game but all the other Empire models still exist as the Freeguild (rank and file troops), Ironweld Arsenal (artillery), Collegiate Arcane (wizards), and Devoted to Sigmar (flagellants and warrior priests)

Dont worry too much about the generals handbook yet. Just find a faction you like first

Kharadron Overlords will be one of the more expensive armies to start because they are brand new

Well I like mounted knights and the new dwarfs. Bretonians seem to be gone too. I had a look at the GW sites and I don't know why, but the asthetics of all the factions seemed to be too wierd for me. Sure there was chaos, skaven and undead back when I played, but where did all the medival-XVI/XVII century stuff went?

I guess I can wait a few weeks. Is there any chance for knightly orders coming out anywhere soon, and I mean like soon soon, not GW soon which can be years.

So, knowing nothing about Warhammer except playing 40k video games a long time ago. I really really enjoyed Total War Warhammer and got two of my friends to play multiplayer battles and campaigns with me. Following that we played vermintide games and then I really got into Mordheim on the PC.

My friends and I start talking about taking up the minatures game, picking an army a piece and getting into it on our boardgame nights.

Then one of my friends tells me that the setting we wanna play in no longer exists. Allofmywuts.

Theres no Karl franz to buy and paints cause hes fucking dead.

We're all really confused, find out the End Times happened, world is over. Theres some new thing called age of sigmar.

None of us are interested in what sounds like transdimensional space fights, we just wanted more of the setting that really swept us up thanks to total war/vermintide

Are we just screwed? Why did they kill off the series for this? I mean total warhammer 2 is coming and so we've just foregone any minatures talk and just got hyped about that instead.

Whats the deal? Do they not want my money? Is there an alternative for people that are interested in the first setting and not AoS?

You can always just... play old school WHFB if you like it so much. Sure, it's not supported anymore, but no one's gonna stop you from playing. ...Unless you want to play Brets or Tomb Kings.

>Why did they kill off the series for this?
Because WHFB sales were garbage. AoS was a big risk and so far it's paid off, ending up a lot more profitable than WHFB had been in years.

‘Punctuality has always been one of your more pleasing virtues, Steel Soul,’ the newcomer said, as she drew close. The Lord-Celestant was as large as Gardus, and her silver war-plate was marked with a profusion of blessed prayer scrolls. Her helmet hung from her belt, and her round, dark face was set in a look of stern disapproval as she studied Zephacleas. ‘But your choice of such disreputable friends has ever been your greatest failing. Take care, lest they lead you into impropriety.’

For 100 damage 1 attacks at 4+/3+ on a 0 armor save 22 get through with Ruler of the Night, and 18.5 get through with Twilight's Allure, and you give up your command ability for it. Offensively she's slightly better than a VLZoD with a sword if he doesn't command ability himself. Her spell is only better than the natural 3+ save of the Vampire against rend-2 plus it can fail. Its funny when you stack her, mourngul, and cursed book however.

I've made an update to my Savage Worlds Age of Sigmar supplement .

There's now a Quest Builder, which lets you roll on a bunch of tables and generate a quest for your party to undertake. There's stuff in there for characters from every alliance, like Monster Hunting and destroying Temples. Also cool stuff like unusual terrain (Floating Mountains, Sentient Fog in Ulgu etc). AoS is full of such wonderful geography, so it's good to represent it in some form.

It's also (finally) too large for the /tg/ size limit. So here's a link to check it out.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bnnzwmrtffe772v/The%20Savage%20Age%20of%20Sigmar%20-%20Core%20Rulebook%20-%20Version%201.3.pdf?dl=0

Neat, thanks. had thought of the stacking. If only she could take it, but then atleast I have a open relic slot for someone else. My main concern is her healing is wose then the normal vampire (unless I've overseen something) and I'm currently going back and forth over which is better for the wider army, the CA of the VLoZD or the bubble of -1 to hit if I keep her close, the real kicker is RotN which would be deliously resilence on my two units of skelingtons.
That's the ideas anyway.

I have the model and wanted to use her as a Vamp on zombie dragon, since I've always had a thing against named characters. The problem is that I fear people won't allow me to run the model as a zombie dragon. I just want an egyptian vamp and shes as close as I can get.
>>
>>53270548
While AoS is a better game, I concur on the disappointment over the loss of the old setting's charm. But the problem in and of itself is easy to fix - you can use the new models in the old ruleset without the least of a hassle by changing bases, and furthermore, there is a highly lively model resale scene around all games workshop games. As such, you can buy everything you need, from books to models to scenery, even if the material is withdrawn from the stores themselves.
>>
>>53271965

Quest was to convince a group of nobles in a magical city in the Realm of Light, against an army of Khornates, with a nurgle force as a wildcard. Neat, it's like a Black Library AoS story generator.

She heals 2 per combat and the vampire heals 1, you can get it on your turn and the opponents so she could be getting 4 per turn. So the healing isn't necessarily worse without the chalice.

The way I'd use vlzd is as a beatstick. Give him a lance, cloak of mist of shadows, and red fury and he can get anywhere on demand and pretty much just delete any unit you need. Or I'd run him with Crypt Flayers or Spirit Host since they're the only reliable mortal wound generation for Death, and his reroll greatly empowers that.

Neferata has hidden value since a lot of special abilities trigger on a hit of 6. Stuff like Retributors/Bloodletters/Skyfires mortal wounds gets shut down.

They aren't done yet overall. Some of the stuff that is still being worked on includes a)The bases b)The Doombull's head/shoulder plate and c)The hands need to be washed.

How should I play against shooty armies as khorne mortals? Feels like the game has very little cover that can easily be used. Units cant be screened either. What gets through to make a charge hits cheap frontline fighters with high saves. Even if you get through, it's not possible to tie up ranged units. And it's way easier to keep a good formation when you dont have to run, so your bonus totems can just sit there.

So far the best I can do is hope for high run and charge rolls and that my opponent doesnt get a double turn in the first two rounds.

Totems aren't supposed to live, getting 5 attacks each, and rerolling failed hits, and auto battleshock immunity on reavers that cost 7 points a model would be absurd otherwise. Yes you don't have to work for it at all atm, and the teleports, and skirmishers, and assassins, and arcing artillery, and shit that are supposed to do it exist already. But it is what it is and flying is going to necessary until they make a hard ruling against shooting like having models able to screen out line of sight against shooting. Until then Khorne works better as majority khorne chaos allegiance with cunning deceiver and sayl because flying is necessary, and maybe I should mix in like 12 skyfires too.
>>
I'm thinking of starting a destruction army, I like the look of moonclan or Bonesplitterz. How viable is a mix of the both of them, I'm guessing since neither actually have any specific allegiance abilities there shouldn't be too much of an issue?

I just came up with the strongest possible idea for a new faction.

Horses.

Just mounts. Horses, boars, wolves, squigs etc as battlelines, pegasi, hippogriffs etc for leaders and griffins for behemoths. Zero goddamn riders. They'd wipe the floor with the incompetent humanoid factions, no contest. Imagine playing Bretonnians without all the dead weight.
>>
Anyone tried Skarbrand? 400 seems reasonable for a named behemoth compared to the other factions.
If Skarbrand was not able to attack in at least one of the combat phases of the previous battleround, he is always Incandescent, regardless of the wounds he has remaining.

At least one of the previous combat phases seems to imply that hes Incandescent if he was out of combat in either your turn or the opponents. So turn 1 I could go second, he gets charged and kills stuff, then on my turn hes still got the buff eventhough hes in combat because he's pissed he missed a round?
>>
>>53275816
Shooty armies are beaten by fast armies.

Run the Goretide battalion, gives you an extra D6" movement. It can mean the difference between a turn 2 or turn 3 engagement against shooting armies.
>>
>>53277785
Bonesplitterz have allegiance abilities
>>
So the Balewind Vortex "doubles the range of spells" being cast by the person on top - I can see this for a ranged attack type spell, but does it also work for summoning spells?
>>
>>53286709
Of course it does, are you dumb?
>>
>>53286799

Technically speaking, with summoning there is no target - you cast the spell, then if successful you place a unit with X" which is different to targeting a unit within X" with a spell (such as Arcane Bolt)
>>
>>53286591
>So turn 1 I could go second, he gets charged and kills stuff, then on my turn hes still got the buff eventhough hes in combat because he's pissed he missed a round?
If he gets charged and kills things then he was involved in a combat phase... so no he wouldn't get the buff

Common strategy with Skarbrand is to just keep him out of combat the first turn and have him murderlize things for the rest of the game
>>
>>53286914
So?

It doesnt say "double the range of spells with targets", it just says "double the range of spells"

Or do each battalions have to be separate? So if I wanted to take those battalions I'd have to have 6 units of brutes, 3 in the iron fist and 3 in the weird fist?
>>
>>53288357
One unit can be a part of only one batalion at the same time, sir!
>>
>>53288357
No. A unit cannot be part of more than one battalion at the same time. You can have both of those battalions in your army, but you need to buy them separately and buy the required units for each.
>>
>>53287476
BINGO
>>
>no non-plastic models in skirmish
RIP skaven
>>
>>53288550
Like that will ever be enforced.
>>
>>53288568
It's impossible not to. The units you're allowed to use are in the skirmish book and that's where you get their costs from. They don't use points.
>>
Is anyone else having trouble uploading pictures? I keep getting an upload failed message.
>>
>>53288590

take the point cost per model from any unit and the divide it by 5. Thats the renown cost of a single model from said unit.

thats the math they used so you can do it on any unit in the game and use the models form said unit in AOSkirmish.
>>
>>53288391
>>53288400

Thanks, I figured that was the answer, it just seems silly that so many of the destruction battalions require the same stuff.
>>
>>53288832
Well it's also nice because you can try different battalions without having to get more stuff to just try them. It gives you variety.
>>
>>53287118

You should wait before think that... Lots of factions are waiting their moment with a battletome and new models. Just wait for your releases
>>
AOS Skirmish:

its 50 Renown. You take AOS cost divide by 5 and that's the renown cost. It is per model right. Like Blood Warriors are 5 for 100pts. So its 20pts a guy so you could take 2 of them
>>
>>53289357
Its per model point cost so
100 / 5 / 5

They're 4 each. Theyre aiming for 5-20 models per game

Within the context of the conversation being had, which is about Skirmish, an actual product that you have to buy it's completely reasonable to want that product to not require you to buy another product (GHB). Also GW apparently agree and that's why there are renown costs in the skirmish book.
>>
>>53290896
Focus on the core mechanics, mention each phase and the kinds of things players can do during those phases, choose an easy scenario to play.

Is it one of those quick demos they have on the special boards they made or a proper game someone has asked to play in store?
>>
>>53291007

>>53289357
Clanrats at 1 renown a rat, that might be a bit problematic. Although their low bravery is a weakness, considering bravery is tested army wide, instead of per unit.

After doing some calculations, there are a lot of edge cases that will be ad an advantage if they follow the formula exactly.

The trick is don't really focus on the game, instead, while setting up, casually talk about how they should buy the starter set, which you are demoing on.
Also explain that Khorne is shit, and to collect Stormcast.
Then explain that Stormcast are super kool just like Space marines in this other game called Warhammer 40k
Oh look we just happen to have a starter set for that too. You should by both, and plenty of stormcast and space marine models

Yes, Reddit:

>AoS Skirmish info from Warhammer Live
$10, goes on preorder this weekend.
>6 new Battleplans, can use the general's handbook battleplans also. Seize the Relic, Treasure Hunt,
games to be approx 30-45 mins
>Set in the ruins of Shadespire after Nagash does a thing
>Geared more towards narrative play than hyper competitive
>Warbands made with renown points.
>Points for all usable units will be in the book.
>No renown points for metal or resin models. >No compendium armies. They listed off a bunch of stuff you can take. Looks like basically anything not a behemoth that they sell in stores.
>Warbands must have at least 1 hero.
>New skirmish command abilities.
>Upgrade warbands between battles
>Use regular warscrolls with difference being minimum unit size is 1 for everything.
>Models act individually but there is a warband wide battleshock mechanic
>Played on a 4x4 board.
>Still has priority roll between rounds
>3 new spells for wizards. Twilight pathway-teleport friendly model 12". Soul Siphon deal 1 mortal wound and heal 1 wound. Shard mist -1 to hit distance.
>10 renown + Roll 2d6 for winning. 6 renown + 1d6 for losing.

The points seem to be consistent with ("Unit Cost/"Model Count")/5, rounded down to nearest whole, so use that to guess how much stuff will cost.

You'd think they'd have learned a lesson from Shadow War: Armageddon and realized that people actually want to play things other than just that which is available in plastic box sets. The SW:A rules team put out SoB and Inquisition kill teams like a week after the game came out.

Maybe they'll put out an expanded list of shit you can use at some point.
>>
>>53270730
Honestly, I think the Start Collecting boxes are an easy sell that checks all of the boxes.
1. Marketed towards helping new players (and current players) start new armies. That others simply buy multiples to bolster current armies is merely a bonus
2. I imagine it drastically increases average transaction price which can look good for investors
3. Makes the community happy without the need for "discounts". Seasonal discounts in particular in this hobby could open the door for long dry spells between "sales".
>>
I really just want to make an army based on turning things into other things. Is this a decent list for that?

Allegiance: Chaos

Leaders
Fatemaster (140)
- General
- Trait: Boundless Mutation
- Artefact: Changeblade
Magister (120)
Tzaangor Shaman (120)

Battleline
10 x Kairic Acolytes (140)
10 x Kairic Acolytes (140)
20 x Tzaangors (360)

Units
3 x Tzaangor Skyfires (160)
10 x Forsaken (200)
- Mark of Chaos: Tzeentch

Battalions
Alter-kin Coven (20)
Arcanite Cabal (50)

Total: 1450/2000

Leaves me 550 points for more Tzaangors and Spawn. Thoughts?
>>
>>53296759

>>

Not sure how to break it to you guys but GW hasn't given a fuck about highlighting non-plastic models for some time now. How often do you see non-plastics in photos? how often does Duncan use non-plastics for paint guides. etc

You can't even purchase something like say: Yhetees or Rat swarms in store, it's all mail-order now. and if you can't sell it to someone right there in person GW doesn't give two shits.

Expecting rules for those guys? don't hold your breath
>>
In their defense, plastic kits only does cover a lot. Most of the elf flavors of kits are plastic, for example. So unless your army you currently run is mostly resin/metal, you should be able to easily play this game. If not, then if you've been meaning to start a new army this is a great way to get started.

Besides, isn't the remotes points for models just the ghb points divided by the minimum# of models? With that you can easily extrapolate what you need to play chaos dwarfs, for example.
>>
Do the chaos spawn options for Nurgle suck?
>>
>>53297754
You may be able to find an opponent who is fine with it, but technically the warscrolls on both the app and website have been updated to only be Tzeentch marked.

Battleline
>20 x Infernal Guard Fireglaives (200)

>20 x Infernal Guard Fireglaives (200)
- Battleline (Legion of Azgorh)
>20 x Infernal Guard Ironsworn (200)
- Battleline (Legion of Azgorh)
>6 x Bull Centaur Renders (320)
- Scalding Great Weapon
- Battleline (Legion of Azgorh)

War Machines
>Iron Daemon (200)
>Iron Daemon (200)
>Skullcracker (240)

>>
>>53298632
>>53298632
Short answer is yes.

Long answer is there is a lot more tactical depth than people realize when looking at the rules. The depth comes through play experience. Movement and positioning, and even the random turn order doesn't present itself as tactical depth at first, but as one plays it more they realize there's a lot behind it. Things like manipulating your opponents combat choices and wound allocation are among other things but specifically talked about in the rules. Flanking enemy units provides benefits and tactics even though there are no "flanking bonuses" given in the rules.

Tldr: the depth of tactics in a game are not always directly proportional to the number of pages in the core rulebook
>>
>>53296862
I'd add more skyfires, honestly, it's only 3 shoots per turn in 2k game.
>>
>>53299636
I really was only having them because Alter-Kin Coven needs them. The theme was more "turn as many things into spawn/tzaangors as possible" which is admittedly, not a super competitive goal.
Also there'll still be bolts from the Acolytes and lots of MW from spells and stuff, I thought that might even it out?
>>
>>53299707
It's totally up to you m8, i think you'll surprise your oponent with leaving points for summoning and throwing chaos spawn right into his units.

Also remember that you don't have to pay points for refilling unit with fold reality spell (works on tzaangos on dics because daemon keyword), and bolt of change when shooting on unit that fights with regular tzaangor. You can drink elixir on shaman and get 2D3 of tzaangors back in one hero phase.

Probably the CEO's, after suggestions from sales and marketing departments. WFB was stagnant, with enormous number of aftermarket models available, and after that failed lawsuit vs Chapterhouse, they realized they can't actually copyright words like Elves, so they had to re-brand the setting.

In all seriousness, as shallow as it is now, I prefer AoS to WFB setting. I know I'm disappointing my 15yo edgy self, but I like the shinebright theme.

They wanted a fresh start with a larger setting. One that had a much higher level of creative freedom. The old world was too restrictive for that. It also wouldn't mesh well with the new styles they're going for.
>>
>>53301108
CEOs don't make the decisions about creative. They might approve the plans but a new setting is designed by the creative department.
I know gamers are very fond of blaming the business people for everything but from my experience business people only care about money, not the exact direction of the IP.
