the planet this regiment hails from was a heavily urbanized one primarily serving the imperium by exporting heavy transports suited for urban enviroments to other sectors. this all came to an end when a large meteor smashed into the planet and the devestating impact and firestorm wiped out the majority of the planets population. those who remained turned largely to criminal activity to survive and not wanting to write the planet off as a total loss have re classified it as a penal world. the majority of the planet is now a urban hellscape populated and fought over by the planets PDF, penal convicts, various ork tribes and other darker threats. hows that?....we still need a name for the planet though and the regiment

the PDF of this planet have modified their lasguns to not only hotshot but also fire a good deal further then the normal hotshots found in the imperium..the ork tribes have taken to calling these weapons skullburnas. the local and largest ork tribe composed mostly of flash gitz have begun to sell captured skullburnas to other ork tribes...Although at the moment the orks that arrived on the Rok seem content to fire at everyone with their normal weapons of their kind..The Rok also shows signs of tau modifed tech..and if the orks of this rok have any tau technology in offensive capability is as of yet unknown

the PDF of Plisk use a lightly armored but heavily armed air vehicle known as cabbies, with these they patrol the remains of their cities and make occasional search and destroy missions deep into ork and convict territories. There are a number of air and ground versions of these vehicles usually patrolling in groups of four but sometimes making up task forces of ten for extended patrols out into the urban wastes. Heavy weapons and vehicle weapons should be recoilless rifles. Very simple stuff, far more easy to manufacture and service than autocannons or anything it works with the lower tech abilities of the Plisk PDF.

Every single infantry squad can be broken down into 5 pairs of recoilless rifle men. The need for powerful but very light heavy weaponry is essential. For either obliterating and demoralizing large groups of orks, blasting apart killa kans, or deff dreads. Equally the portability of the Plisken Boom Tube makes it useful for clearing rubble when exploring collapsed and abandoned parts of the old cities.

Also how do the loyal citizens of the imperium live on this planet post Rok smash? I say they've taken to building Puebla style below surface homes and towns, scarred by the memories of their greatest buildings collapsing after Rok Smash. They build these settlements close to the old cities which they use for scavenging.

What is the design of the cabbies? It's a feral world with the availability of scavenging better tech, but it's also a PDF so basically all equipment would be second hand IG crap or homeworld produced. So are they war dirigibles? or are they creations made from the remains of the valkyries the planet had?

Lasguns are often modified into lascarbines, or even smaller, pistol sized weapons. Especially as parts deteriorate and long range power and precision are lost, these las weapons are converted to clunky, burst-fire arms.

Autoguns, shotguns, and stubbers are also widespread, with no real "standard issue" in weapons.

Heavy weapons like recoilless guns, rocket tubes, and heavy mortars are often mounted to ramshackle vehicles, including buggies and bikes. One of the better-regarded capabilities of the Snakes are their motorized cavalry formations, though some officers express concern that they may be emulating their Ork foes even in fighting them.

I feel like sentinels would fit in well. Relatively cheap and robust vehicles, used in military and civilian uses, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pliskan's were able to recover a ton of construction-pattern sentinel walkers from the ruined cities.

Given it's status as a PDF it probably is lacking in terms of heavy vehicles and I'd be dipped in shit if they had a baneblade or even a Leman Russ. Crazy thought, what if they take the idea of Motorized Cavalry to the next level and use salvaged subpar sentinel walkers to pull and maneuver heavy weapons platfom. Like a Mechanized Dog Sled from Hell.

A series of 4 construction sentinel walkers are up armored and slaved to central control system mounted to the carriage. The four walkers pull the carriage/platform that is armored and carrying large rocket racks, or a battle cannon, or a set of 3 vehicle sized recoiless rifles.
