So CMON and Dark Sword are doing a SoIaF wargame. Starter set will be Stark vs. Lannister with more houses in the future.
They did an interview that's pretty lengthy, but it gives a good amount of details. Also the models look pretty damn nice. Maybe once they put out Greyjoy or Targaryn I'd be more tempted to jump in, but so far looks fairly promising.

I'll post the pictures, too.

Truescale or heroic?
25mm bases or 30+?

Not sure on bases, but I imagone 25mm integrated. Probably closer to true scale, judging from the photos, but I could be wrong.
They do look closer to 32mm.

You, know, purely mechanically, it's a bit hard to imagine majority of the units of different houses not being the same

They said tbe goal was to make them feel different with special rules and tactical abilities and the likes.
Very similar to any historical game, really.
Didn't post as much as I had hoped here tonight, but between spending time with my step-daughter and actually needing sleep I need to be done.
If this is still up come morning I'll try and get the rest of the pictures uploaded(or you can follow the link to see them as well).

Historic games use more or less generic profiles for each kind of dude.
I'm way more interested in Greyjoy or Baratheon troops, but I'm impressed with the sculpts so far.

Doesn't Battles of Westeros already exist? Or is this a new game with no connection?

>CMoN
So it'll have great minis and shit gameplay. Gotcha.
These look a lot worse than I'd hoped, but better than I feared. So, typical CMoN quality, I guess. Too bad they aren't actual wargaming quality.
