I never like stories like this because they're just so obvious. Of course the blacksmith isnt going to find love, and of course his adventurous daughter is going to use the shit he made. Its not even a very uplifting story. Nobody other than their daughter is really happy with the way things turned out, and even she just got a free stuff and some self-confidence out of it.

Know what bothers me the most about it? The story completely ignores what could have been a far more bruising story of how good people can sometimes have conflicting ideas on what they want to make them happy, and neither side is actually wrong.

Like, look at how the Anon is clearly making the "Blonde Bimbo" and "Bumbling Mage" in the wrong by writing them as vapid, self-interested and explicitly evil... Why? Because the Blonde Bimbo turned her back on the Blacksmith's Son and married some asshole, of course! How dare she do that! It's a combination of the fact that Reddit has a lot of thing that are generally frowned upon here (up-vote whoring, active mods and no Anonymity), is a newer, but more "popular" forum that 4chan, has a userbase that leans to the left of the political spectrum and the general "us vs. them" mentality on the internet just makes it a good boogeyman. Most of the time it's used as a meme to say "I disagree with what you've said, but don't have an argument/can't be bothered to make one against you" and can just be substituted with "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" Anyone who actually gets mad at Reddit being mentioned is either trying to be edgy or has some form of autism.

Also for me personally I find the general layout of the sight visual unappealing.

That sounds a bit like the story of Goblin Quest, where the protagonist is a Goblin enslaved by an adventuring party that decides to become a cleric. He does so because he wagers he can't get as good with the sword as the fighers, can't learn magic fast enaugh and can't become a rogue, so the easy way out is to become a cleric like the dwarf.

So he asks the dwarf if there are gods for goblins, but the dwarf says no, there are only dark gods cursed to be forgotten by civilization. One of them intervenes though and makes the dwarf remember his name even though that is normally not possible. The goblin CAN remember it though, because he is an uncivilized Goblin.

The god is the god of the autumn star, an ever wispering short guy in a black robe with bells as stars and eyes that are an infinite abyss.

The god though is just insanely lonely and insanely sassy and agrees to help him if he worships him, being the ever sarcastic voice in his head because he has literally nothing else to do than follow his only followers every waking and sleeping moment, and has no followers because he is usually more a god of peace and niceness but humans and other civilized folk can't remember him long enaugh to worship him and orks and goblins neither know of him nor would usually have a use for a god of peace and harvest.
