Should The Elder Scrolls Have a Wargame Like Warhammer?

GW literally ended their line of fantasy battles, so why hasn't anyone stepped in to fill the void?

D&D used to have its own wargame addons, they could just resurrect those.

While my first instinct is to say yes because I love elder scrolls, I must say no because race-based factions is a shitty idea that doesn't fit with Elder scrolls and which is one thing I really haye about ESO.

I would much prefer getting a real ES rpg

I've played Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. As someone who has basically seen the series evolve, I can say from an unbiased and non-infatuated view that TES simply wouldn't work for anything like that. The setting is rather average. There are a couple of things that allow it to stand out here and there, but a few redeemable qualities doesn't suddenly elevate everything else.

Why does it not work? There would not be enough diversity in each individual army. There is only so much you can extrapolate and all in all the armies will probably share many elements with not enough to distinguish between their play styles. It is possible to point out one thing here, and another thing there, but there certainly isn't enough, especially if you are creating grouping armies by race.
