>Temporal cold war, what the fuck anon?
According to a recent AMA on plebbit,
>The Lloigor and the Great Race fill the gap of the new villains.
https://www.reddit.com/r/rpg/comments/6a7hy2/were_delta_green_and_weve_kept_this_green_ball_of/dhcalge/
Look them up in attached, ripped from Dennis Detweiler's patreon.

More of the preview content and scenarios from the new DG would be a nice inclusion
Lloigor and Great Race confirmed as new main adversaries (like the Greys/Mi-go were last edition.)
I for one would love to see more possession/paranoia in Delta Green, so I'm pretty psyched.

Here's a scenario that, AFAIK, is only available on Detweiler's patreon.
Lloigor and Great Race as the new big guys is interesting. Lovecraft portrayed the Mi-Go relatively sympathetically IMO (like the Elder Things), and their reason for being present on Earth (again in Lovecraft, let's not delve into the human brains are special ok thing in DG lore) was harmless, so having them as mustache-twirling bad guys was unfitting for me.
The Lloigor and the Great Race are both rather inscrutable; the former were outright malevolent IIRC while the latter have their mysterious ways of taking action due to the way they perceive time. Both races have stakes on Earth, however. They could come into conflict as well.
Much better than the ayy lmao-fungus duo if you ask me.
How do you guys handle the Elder Sign in your games? I've always felt that cosmic horrors and monsters being able to be repelled like vampires with crosses kinda un-Lovecraftian, but at the same time I wouldn't want to leave investigators completely defenseless. desu I think the biggest problem with it is that it feels like a cure-all solution.
While we're on the topic, what shape do you prefer? The tree branch or the pentacle?

Honestly, the Great Race are a pretty good fit for villains. Despite their somewhat sympathetic motives and 'benevolent' behaviour, they're for all intents and purposes a race of body-snatchers. They've already committed mass mental-genocide once before, and are planning to do so again in the far future. It's super easy to put a more sinister spin to them.
We still have no idea when the Case Officer's Handbook is coming do we?

It doesn't work like a cross, dummy. Elder Signs need to be planted or drawn on a specific thing relevant to their targets to disable them. You can't just scrawl it on a piece of driftwood and beat Cthulhu with it.
