The four I listed are loved by pretty much everyone and while those that like Dragon really really like her, she is not taken by everyone.

Quantity isn't an issue, I'd say. It's the amount of love shown that counts. Anyone can draw a picture, but how often do we actually talk about the dragons in these threads? Knight gets posted constantly as a cool character above being just a damsel, whereas DP1 is almost never posted except in images where she's just being a dumb animal. I think that says a lot about the love of each character more so than the number of images they get.
