I need a better wording for this that lets you do this at any time, since I want it to be actually useful. But I can't think of one that doesn't refer to the stack, which magic cards almost never do.

I would change this to:

The way you wrote it made it obviously broken and I've spent way too much time making this emblem. But now Hiroyuki needs a focus on big UBR spells. If you get past the point that he plays almost like green, it's a fine Grixis emblem
