Did you buy the raider new? It's worth more to marine players than it is to you because looted vehicles are shit and Land Raiders are badass transport tanks. I would try and sell it if you can, then use the cash to get a cheap rhino or chimera.

As for looting in general, though, just cover it in spikes and gubbins and orky bitz and give it signs of modification. Take cues from your battlewagon and its design once you've got that built up.
