3 color minimum is a thing for a lot of events. Its really not hard to prime+2 colors.

If you are that lazy spray, dip, and paint flesh and 1 or 2 details it looks 100% better and is only a bit more work

No, you should always do this. It makes your units easily-detectable at a glance on the battlefield and facilitates easy play.

I don't see how that's easier than base +2 colors but it's better than just priming.
