Kind of. It holds alot of the same problems all early white wolf games did, weird meta plot and systems for combat and then not alot else.
Mega attributes aren't as crazy fucked as epic attributes are, but the more regular powers can go over the top as hell just like the knacks can.

What I will say is this, both scion and trinity are getting a second edition soon ish. Obviously it will be a while before you can run demi god level scions or novas, but if you're willing to be patient theres that option.

Scion no, the kickstarter got over a while ago, there have been quite a few previews released and the systems look okay unless there's something major I haven't heard of.
Trinity I know less about, but I think its just planned to come out later, like the kickstarter hasn't even happened.
They both share the same system, and like three previews of it got released but that was a while ago so those might not be accurate anymore.

And it seems that we will play scion regardless because 2 of my players think "superheroes are gay" even after explaining that a setting where capes are widespread isn't your average superman stuff.

Sometimes i hate players and the fixed expactations they have.

It is kinda crowded, but it's got less of a defined setting then it did last time from what I gather. More room to do whatever you want with it and ignore the people you don't want to.

Hey, scion origins and hero is supposed to be out soon(tm) so I guess you could start off with that then work up to demigod and god when they come out.

Some people who liked the 1st Ed of Scion were complaining because of setting changes.
Which is impossible, of course, because the first edition didn't actually have a coherent setting, but still, that's the only complaint I've heard tossed around.

True tbqh but i actually looked forward to filling the void. Players founding cults, getting groupies etc. actually seemed pretty interesting. Truly becoming gods in their own right.

I don't know how good White Wolf is with their Kickstarters, but Scion's final product is supposed to be delivered by October.
