I would have serious problems in defining Caim's alignment. Neutral? He's focused on a single thing, killing for revenge and for the pleasure of killing.

In stock D&D, that would make him Chaotic Evil. Lucky me no DM will ever get me in an insane Drakengard-style setting.

Caim is difficult but I think a large part of the point of his character is that he is not a good person. He's a bloodlusting asshole who just happened to be pointed at a clearly morally corrupt empire.

I'd probably call Caim Neutral Evil.

Well, the G-E axis is pretty easy. He's killing people because he's a hate-driven murderer. D&D morality is quite clear that doing the right thing for the wrong reason is Evil.
The L-C axis is a bit of a bitch, yeah. I'd personally peg him as NE, but there's argument to be made for LE and CE. Mainly because the L-C axis is so poorly defined.

If mercy was just it would be redundant and serve no purpose. If mercy were not just it would be nepotism, spite and hatred.

Gabriella, Michael, and Mikhail all have the same moral issue of "going along with and helping do badwrong things".
Michael may or may not have an excuse, depending on if he realized exactly what the Flower was and what it meant, and his motives.

I'd argue that Zero is far too erratic and "fuck planning" to qualify as L. Then again, the L-C axis is so poorly defined that there's a dozen ways to argue what L and C mean.

I would say Zero is NE at first with some more true neutral tendencies. She was always looking out for herself until she got FLOWER'd and after that, she wanted to rid the world of the flower.
