Not them, I don't know about that last part, I have done personal research attempting to find the origin of the name of 'Kitsune' and found varying sources (I suspect a knowledge of jap would be needed to really investigate this kind of shit) but that is a legit and well known kitsune myth and one of the earlier ones I'm pretty sure.
