It's nominally the same setting because some characters carried over, but the vast majority of special characters died and the setting shifted to an entirely new location, and from a grounded earth-like medium-fantasy setting to MAGICAL ELEMENTAL REALMS IN SPACE

Almost all named characters were killed off/dropped entirely, several armies were squatted or smashed together and most that were left had their lore completely gutted.

Most people at my LGS seem to like it but I refused to transition after seeing how lame and shitty the new lore for Ogre Kingdoms turned out
