Is Goblin Slayer low or high fantasy?
>>52780039
Well there's a caster in the party, so guess.

Low fantasy!
It's edgy high fantasy. It's a spin on a stereotypical high fantasy world and pretty much requires the reader to be familiar with its tropes.
>>52780083
It's not power levels that define low or high fantasy
LOTR is low magic af but high fantasy
>>52780039
It's shitty fantasy.

Right, but if they're a 'rookie' adventuring squad and they manage to have some rando caster person walking around with them then the setting is definitely high fantasy.
Also:
>LOTR is low magic
Not really. There aren't many direct casters involve in the story of LOTR, but the world is still suffused with magic. It's just not in your face and over explained like how modern pop fiction likes to do it.

It's not magic
It's about scale

>Is Goblin Slayer low or high fantasy?
Low fantasy: set on earth but with magic, IE the story of king Arthur
High fantasy: entirely new world
That's how it's actually defined.
That in mind, i don't know, i have no idea what goblin slayer is. With that definition you should be able to figure it out though
>>52780039
It's MMO-fantasy.

Not according to Wikipedia, it's a little more complicated than that:
"Low fantasy stories are usually set in a fictional but rational world, and are contrasted with high fantasy stories, which take place in a completely fictional fantasy world setting with its own set of rules and physical laws."
>>52781024
That skub though.

>rational
What does that even mean

Pikes beat swords
Guns beat pikes
Everyone are dicks
