It was an RPG for 2 players, one Master, one Servant (a 3rd player could be added, the point is the party is one unified unit)
I was going to use a dice pool system, and have higher rank equal more dice
Instead of making a system from scratch, I was going to use the newest Mage system for the Magus, and the Servant would have larger dicepools for everything, showing the massive divide in power
Skills would affect dicepools in specific situations, and NPs could be made from scratch on a case-by case basis

The only Servants that matter in a narrative sense are Saber and Redman, maybe Cu if you want to be nice. Medea and "Kojirou" are minibosses, Berserker exists to be Worfed unless you have Realta Nua, Rider is just there being pretty, Hassan is another midboss, Gil is the not actually final boss who exists to job. Most of the big fights in F/SN involve the Magi either against a Servant (Shirou in UBW, Rin vs. Medea, Nine Bullet Revolver) or are Magus/Magus (Shirou trying to kill Shinji, Shirou punching Kirei, Rin fighting Dark Sakura, Kuzuki punching niggas heads off). The exceptions are Saber/Kojirou, Archer and Lancer being gay bulges about raw anus, and maybe Archer trying to end Shirou through friendly fire in UBW.

It's fine to want to jack off to cockfighting myths. Don't pretend that's all there is. It's marketable, but it's not total.

The name of Saladin's sword is lost to history, and thus with it much of it's power. However the legend of it's extraordinary sharpness and grace still lingers in tales, in myths of it's ability to cut through silk and cloth with no more pressure than the materials own weight pressed against the blade. A curved saber wrought with traced lines of mana in the Damascus steel itself, resulting in a weapon of extraordinary sharpness. Any material - be it natural or mystical in nature, should it encounter the edge of this blade, will be cut. Even lesser mystic weapons or enemies noble phantasms may be damaged or cut through, though this is not effective against truly legendary or potent weaponry. This also extends to things one would not normally see as being able to be cut, such as air or fire or water.

It's great limitation is the reach of the arm: as Saladin lacks the Mana burst skill, he cannot 'project' his prana through the blade, as certain more famous wielders of legendary western blades might. It is, in essence, a supernaturally sharp sword, and one that may cleave through any obstacle, but not a weapon of mass destruction as a truly legendary Noble Phantasm might be.

Hashashim Defeating Prescience (Anti-Servant) - A

An enemy of the legendary assassins in life, Saladin and his camp famously foiled an attempt by their orders grand master to kill him in his sleep. This skill acts as a direct counter to the Assassin's class Presence Concealment skill, and allows Saladin to see through both illusion and guile. The true intentions and thoughts of others are laid before him, a gift Saladin uses to great political effect.

It can definitely be slow at times if you don't like exposition and politicking, as it focuses just as much, if not more, on the social and personal ramifications of being trapped in an MMO-like world.
