Of course, he's possibly an avatar of his God as well, so his abilities would probably be well beyond a normal Cleric's, however going by most of the miracles he performed in the Bible, he's a pretty standard Cleric, albeit without the weapons and heavy armor.

Also remember that many clerical spells were based on Biblical miracles. Jesus isn't "as powerful as clerics", clerics were written to be as powerful as Jesus (although, as we know, Jesus didn't use his full power, and his miracles were presumably at-will.)
