I tried to design the idea around one of those scary instructors who, despite looking nice and friendly, end up being tyrannical and scary. I know there's multiple examples of it through various media, but she'd be the one who "teaches" a princess to be "perfect"; perfect behavior, but loss of partial/full personality.

As for her appearance, I didn't sketch it yet, but I was thinking something like a devil dressed like a medieval orphanage owner, or one of those stereotypical nuns in Catholic schools.

I think the Boon could use some work. Its scope of possibility is limited by how concisely its effect is worded. I'm not sure how one would fit on the card, but I think it may be better to simply describe the effects of her tutoring on a character (why limit it to just Princesses?) rather than narrow it down to a specific set of positive and negative traits.

Something like that. I don't even know if there's a term for this kind of thing. More or less, I thought her up as a "counter" to my concerns yesterday about the Dragon Princesses' personalities that Gats wrote up on that wiki someone linked in the previous thread. I tried to think of a way that wasn't ridiculous, over the top, or just plain fetish fuel to force a change in personality, and this popped in my head. I can't remember what I got the influence from, but it felt "right" for the scenario.

I can't write characters for shit. I'm better at just sketching them and having folks write details for them.

On the 1st one, shading is in excess of the usual style, yeah.
As for other details, look at the top one and notice how huge the eyes are. All the crosses on the shirt.
And now that I focus a bit, notice where your lines break-apart. There are few times where lines ever break and certainly never in spots like on the glove of first one.

I did say I'd make a sketch of my idea for Merrow Knight. He's supposed to be wearing scalemail type armour made from clamshells and a skull of some sea creature as his helmet.

Probably would look better if the skull/helmet was more deep sea fish-like, with the mouth acting as the visor of the helmet (so eyes would be visible in the mouth rather than the eyesockets, but this kind of vaquely synapsid-like skull is about the best I can do (well, I could draw a guler eel skull, but that's barely a skull at all).

You know, I never really saw it as a self insert thing. I mean some of those knights are pretty specific characters. I always took the same as the NPCs in souls games. They're just kind of faceless characters that are around as you adventure, defined by their archetype rather than a face. The armor is more important, so a face is better left up to the imagination.

Left doesn't look so good with an exposed face. The mouth style clashes with the simplicity of the rest of the design. The bear trap mask fixes that perfectly, and makes it look more like a knight instead of just some random person with a bear trap on their arm. Maybe add eye holes on one of the teeth on the bottom? Or just a thicker black line between the teeth for them to see out of?

As for a weapon, why not a trapping weapon?

I think the helmet could use a touch up. It looks like a bear trap with a hood when it should look more round with merely the aesthetic of a bear trap.
I'd like to suggest a version with a face, but the bottom of the bear trap is alligned with the mouth, making it look like a jaw, while the other half makes up a headdress of sorts, and put the hood over the exposed areas of the back of the head. Beter yet, make it look like it opens and closes, so you can the closed look and the open one.

I'd go with half helmet. The one without a helmet does't look very knightly. Maybe instead of hair and hood covering the eyes, there could be a helmet that leaves lower half of the face visible.

bit of a story really, bash was an OC made by Dworven, an artist that used to hang around here quite a bit

he actually became a she later on, mostly because fembash was the more popular of the two

Dworven eventually left the internet for his own reasons, so now we only have small bits of what he did for us

but basically Bash is a friend of peasant knight, and it's implied that he(or she) is a slime folk, and is in fact MADE of royal jelly
