You can take Monstrous Companion feat to get a griffon as a cohort, or Monstrous Mount feat to get a griffon as an animal companion or special mount. Note that griffons have Int 5 and know Common, so thematically it's less like taming the griffon and more like making friends with one enough that it decides to stay with you.

Yes, griffons were the king of beasts and had intelligences far above the average dog or horse, yet were still below that of humans.

Furthermore, griffons may be able to follow complex conversations in Pathfinder, but they are incapable of speech and can only communicate through grunts, cries and growls.

Ultimately, the griffon should be treated as not quite a beast, yet not quite an intelligent thinking equal. They represent the apex of a knight's rise through mounts, and are something they'll be seen talking to constantly, but you'll never have a griffon telling you something isn't honorable, or they need to rescue the king of Brevoy otherwise people will perish.

Is there any class, 1pp or 3pp, that grants constant water breathing and maybe a swim speed by a reasonable level? No capstone "gain the aquatic subtype" stuff, though getting the subtype somewhere in the low to mid levels would be nice. Trying to figure out how to build a character that's slowly turning more fishy, so just playing an aquatic race or using an item doesn't really fit.

One of my PCs in my RotJR game I run is a Tiefling goblin that has natural, lustrous red hair. She got fucked up by one of the creatures in the Lamashtu temple, failed a save and lost all of her hair (in fact, was in the process of literally losing her head and become one of those creature).

Because I got inspired by the idea of the Pegasus Knight Paladin and wanted to make a counterpart, yet Antipaladin was a shit chassis and forced into evil alignment when FE wyvern riders have been in all sides of the alignment spectrum.
If the pegasus knight is a figure that inspires hope, then the wyvern rider ought to inspire fear in their foes. Which means Dread. And the class needs some more love too.

The only non-shitty option for dragon-y companions is to use N. Jolly's Legendary Vigilantes material. One of his book adds an archetype that gives a drake companion, and that specifically makes up the biggest ways in which Paizo made drake companions shitty.

Note that despite the "vigilante" class you don't actually have to be a vigilante, because N. Jolly also did an "exposed vigilante" archetype that trades away dual identity and has you count as both social and vigilante identity for all abilities.

Being made up on the fly isn't an issue for me. It's just that the GM is sending mixed messages with the "you're evil thing" but is portraying out enemy less as something that should be destroyed or oppose or villains and more like a slightly decadent empire that's kinda losing it's way. Is there a guide for optimizing a blight druid anywhere?

I've got a campaign coming up and usually I like to have a handful of characters prepared ahead of time so I can just pick whichever one the group needs the most.

Right now I'm looking at a preservationist alchemist, a blight druid, and a vanilla mesmerist, but I'm always open to new ideas.

You get access to TWF feats without prereqs, and the Favored Enemy feature is good for someone who's a "hunter" type character. All you need after that is an archetype to replace Hunter's Bond with someting more combat oriented, and you're good.

I think I need some advice.
I joined a game run by a friend who has been gaming for decades, DM'ing as well, with another two friends of mine and a player that everyone but me knew, and her boyfriend.
We all have a lot of experience with tabletops, and since this is Pathfinder, I was pretty confident. I confess, I brought my A-game. I min-maxed. The thing is, I was rolling a fucking goblin Swashbuckler. I thought I would be giving ground to not be the center of attention this way, but here's the catch.
Nobody else in the party is even close to as strong as my character. The closest is a ranged 3rd party class half-ogre with a composite bow.
We had a WITCH that felt inadequate and rerolled as a MAGUS and STILL is falling behind my character. The boyfriend can only be there every other week so plays a split personality healbot Aasimar Cleric. The girlfriend is a Goblin Vigilante, dual-wielding a WHIP and a PUNCHING DAGGER.
I walk into the first session expecting at least some kind of busted sorceror, but I feel like That Guy. I've got +15 (16-20x2) with 1d4+14 damage and nobody can come close. Since I play smart and am good enough at roleplaying, non-combat situations are almost as easy.
Frankly, I'm a little embarassed because next level I'm going to be even crazier. I'm working with the DM to figure out a way to kill of my character that would be satisfying and not look like I just retired him.

So far it's mostly been rank and file mercs, each encounter has had a moderate caster of some description.
