Just to be clear-so is the plot literally just "Chaos is going to destroy the world, go stop him"?

I know I'm probably overthinking it, just wanted to be sure.
>>
>>52696880
Yes.
You can alternatively help him destroy the world however.
Or just not care at all and carve your own path in life.
Choice is yours.
>>
>>52696880
It's more like "An evil knight kidnapped the princess! Go rescue her-oh, that was easy. WAIT, NOW THERE ARE FOUR FIENDS, AND THEY'VE STOLEN THE LEGENDARY CRYSTALS FOR THEIR MASTER CHAOS! YOU HAVE TO STOP THEM! Oh hey, you did! Now-OH GOD TIME TRAVEL. WAIT, THE EVIL KNIGHT WAS ACTUALLY CHAOS ALL ALONG?! AND HE'S BEEN USING A TIME LOOP TO LIVE FOREVER?!" And THEN "Chaos is going to destroy the world, go stop him"!
>>
>>52696905
I was talking about the plot of the canon game but thanks I gu-

>>52696915
-huh. Sounds /exactly/ like that one porn game and it's sequel.
>>
>>52696957
It's surprisingly simple and convoluted at the same time. The evil knight, rather then dying when he was killed, somehow wound up in the distant past. When the Heroes of Light defeated the Four Fiends (which he would create as Chaos), they were sent back in time to that same point. The evil energy from the fiends transformed the knight into Chaos, who would then slaughter the Heroes of Light, create the Four Fiends, and start a time loop. Eventually, one of the loops (the canon game) ends with the Heroes of Light killing him, ending the loop.

>>52696994
Huh.

So, if the Fiends are the "shatterpoint" that gave him his powerup-assuming you wanted to break the time loop earlier without resorting to Balefire, would the smart thing to do be to seal the Fiends' life essence in a crystal or something?

Or just chuck the Dark Crystal back to the Void/into the Warehouse so he can't use it?
>>
>>52697106
Who needs to do the smart thing when you like swords?
Also this would make it impossible to beat said fiends to power yourself up since they would of never been created in the first place and you'd probably start a paradox of some kind.
>>
>>52697106
Well, it worked for the Black Materia.

By which I mean it totally didn't work, he gave the Weapons a power buff and sent them out to genocide everyone so he could absorb them and the lifestream itself, just in a slower process.

So don't do that, it'll definitely backfire.
>>
>>52697106
That, or prevent him from escaping into the past in the first place. I mean, if he's still in the past, he can cause a lot of problems for the future even if he's not Chaos. If you can't stop him from escaping in the past (which I don't know how he did in the first place), it might be best to just let events play out and travel back in time and kill him.

How does one go about procuring thousands of corpses without actually killing them yourself? Graveyards are nice and all, but at some point people start planting Paladins everywhere, and that's no fun. Battlegrounds are good, but people from both sides take is as an offense when you raise their soldiers to your side.

Also how does one avoid undead gaining consciousness from the amount of necromantic energy in the air?

I'm not... super well versed in the particulars of this plot, given that I always took it more or less at face value.

But if I remember right, there were two primary methods to end the loop. Either the Light Warriors defeat Chaos, who is the final boss of the game, or the Light Warriors are defeated by Garland, who is the first boss of the game.
Garland being so piss weak that a squad of four LV1 White Mages has a decent shot of kicking his ass through sheer bludgeoning power. He is not strong.
But if he had won, I think the logic was he would never get shunted back in time in the first place? At that point he might not even be aware that he was supposed to do so. Maybe. The game doesn't really go into a lot of detail about how the time loop works or how much Garland is aware of in the first five minutes of the game. He certainly didn't have any magical powers he could bring to bare. But it's also possible that he could just become Chaos unimpeded at that point, which would probably be a Bad End.

But if you just want to jack the plot out from under him, the thing to do I guess would be to just beat the Light Warriors to Garland, capture him without letting him get shunted back in time, and then maybe do some fiddly bits to strip him of what little power he has left and/or make him forget all about the time looping plan.

Then you just have to deal with whatever fallout occurs from the resulting paradox, since the Fiends should have never come into existence then.
>>
>>52697143
> How does one go about procuring thousands of corpses without actually killing them yourself?
You could grow them. If you've got cloning technology or something similar, and the means for mass production, it'd be pretty easy to grow a bunch of corpses.

I dare say it would be easier than keeping them alive, even.

Hell, it kinda worked for Rusty Venture.

Hmm. I have a tendency to hit villains with Save Or Suck rather than Save Or Die. Y'know, like Flesh To Stone (neat thing about that D&D spell, it leaves the target neither alive nor dead - meaning their friends can't just True Res them).

Wouldn't anyone who could cast TR just be able to use a Wish or Miracle anyway? Or some other spell to just get rid of or get back the statue?

It's just a matter of aesthetics, anon! Don't forget you can make cloning pods look like anything you want. Cover them in bones, make the fluid inside glowing green, whatever you like! As long as it's creepy and dead looking, you're doing it right.

-well fine, COUNTABLE millennia. Swords are clumsy, unwieldly, inefficient chunks of matter and sometimes energy. The true blade lies in the eye of the mind, or the boot of the soul!

Also I exist beyond causality at this point, so that's hardly any trouble.

>>52697134
Now see, I get going with the flow works but-Bhunivelze is foaming at the mouth from the time I sic'd a nightmare of his dead mother on him, Nyarlathotep's takiing Sin for a joyride, Kefka's got the giggles and my Ultimecia just told the other Ultimecia to grow up and get a life.

I've got more than a dozen other apocalypses to manage here, and most of them would be worsened by a time paradox.

>>52697133
Whelp.

That plan's off the table.

>>52697143
Demons from Malfeas who've joined the Carnifex Guild learn a technique to chop another demon in such a way they end up with one life demon, and one demon corpse. It's so convenient demon connoisurs have been known to only eat their own corpses.

Out of the Exalted, Infernals alone have the potential to generate their own demons instead of summoning them. Plus, theirs won't be salty and tainted from millennia of surrender oaths.

As for your second question, the true answer is being a damn good necromancer and doublechecking your spells. But Franken Fran has a room that stops the dead rising, Rest in Peace from Innstrad lets you stop that through holy magic (so creative use of white mana-based lands might do it too) and FF10 has a little song and dance routine that soothes restless spirits. Oh, and Dirge said you don't have to do the dance part.

>>52697213
That works, thanks! Those cuffs I learned to make back in FF8 are really earning their keep. As is that computer program that resolves time paradoxes. Somehow.

...I really ought to ask Dirge how that thing actually works.

>>52697315
I don't get it
>>
>>52697432
It may have backfired in part because I took the drawback that meant I had to face down the Weapons. I may never know. Aeris was pretty pissed off at me, but when I told her it was either that or a fucking moon crashing into the planet... well, it could have been worse.

The fact that I'd just thrown Hojo off the Highwind may have softened the blow a little too.
>>
>>52697432
I mean, there's no real way to resolve this without creating a time paradox.
>>
>>52697348
>Only problem is bringing them back en masse

The moon's always crashing to the Earth in these situations, isn't it? The Daystar's equal parts gaudy
boast and sophisticated mechanism for empowering a draconic embodiment of antagonism, but you have to admire the thought put into Silver Chair.

A moon that doubles as a dimensional anchor is much, much harder to crashland.

Sure, but that assumes the defences don't include opposing Miracles, Wishes or similar grades of protection (e.g. Mythals, prison planes, etc).
>>
>>52697552
At which point you're not really just using Flesh to Stone anyway
>>
>>52697532
Actually you can create an area where all the bodies within it become your undead slaves with exalted necromancy. Just pule those fuckers up. Overlord magic can also do it, one necromancer made an entire cemetary awaken and he was weaksauce new worlder.
>>
>>52697348
>>52697532
>>52697671
You could also use mtg black spells, undead legion is pretty good and mtg zombies have a habit of not stopping when dismembered.
>>
>>52697572
At level 17? Sure. But unlike True Res / Wish / Miracle, Flesh To Stone is usable at level 11, and six levels later it still manages to negate one of the big three despite the disparity.
>>
>>52697788
True, but it's also countered by Flesh to Stone, at the same level. It may counter one of the big three but it also has a perfect counter to it at the same level.
>>
>>52697671
>one necromancer made an entire cemetary awaken and he was weaksauce new worlder

Nah, in Overlord's New World undead appear automatically once in areas where many people died violently or when you put too many corpses together.

The necromancer and his minions spent weeks creating more undead using a magical item to further boost their skills. Once there were that many undead together, many more started awakening on their own.

Although I'm not saying that you couldn't do it with a 10th tier spell.

As >>52697671 and >>52697685 , there are other system better suited to create large numbers of undead instantly. Overlord can create them over the time and produce specially strong ones, but we don't have any canon examples of a large number of undead being created at once. You could fanwank it, though.

>>52697483
Just fix the timeline after that.
>>
>>52697843
I have often wondered how much of a skeleton you need to count as undead for necromancy, could you just make a hundred doll bodies with 1 bone in each to turn 1 skeleton into a hundred? Do skeletons require a certain ratio of bone to function? Could we make our skeletons more powerful by building a massive golem body with just a skeleton skull and use necromancy to empower it?

>could you just make a hundred doll bodies with 1 bone in each to turn 1 skeleton into a hundred

I'm pretty sure that's how voodoo works, actually. Except it doesn't even have to be a bone, blood or hair or something and then use magic to finangle the rest by making the doll look like whoever you want to affect.

Anyway, I'd imagine it depends on the system but in general yes-more skeletons=more fun. It's why I've always employed the Katamari Damacy method when it comes to battlefield necromancy.
>>
>>52697825
True, though we now return to the start of the argument with "but first they have to get past whatever defences are in their way, because they can't just walk down to the local temple and ask/pay for their friend back".
>>
>>52697906
Basically yeah, could you use the crawdad corpses to create some undead mass crawdad monstocity of all claws and legs slowly shifting and scuttling in their hollow shells.

>>52697900
True, and its great, but could it do the same with just an arm. Necromancy as a hobby or craft needs more exploration. I intend to further the field of nonvitalistic animation so that one day we necromancers can step back into the limelight!

Though now I wonder if you could use crawdad husks as single unit necro batteries to pilot or power stuff.
>>
>>52697934
Wasn't that the middle of the argument? It started off just talking about how FtS negates True Res and then that being discussed.
>>
>>52697934
To be fair, they can probably just go to someone else and pay for a teleport or something or just pay for a Wish instead, if they're already paying for a TR.

It's a cool idea, but I'm not sure how workable it is... Phrye in particular worked well as a Manse in my mind, mainly because she was already a building and existed outside of standard time.

Hm. Manses kind of require a Demesne to sit on and draw power from, as well as specific geomantic 'feng shui' to properly cap it, so I'm not sure if an import would make sense.

Maybe what you could do is create a Demesne on some land that follows you around, and build a Manse on top of that?

Sort of, except more that she (or he, if you took some other Endless) can't by default. See, back in the day Death used to be much more cold until a dying girl told her to shut up. So she tried living and dying, and then told herself to shut up. Now every century Death incarnates a tiny aspect of herself to live and die as a mortal human in the span of a day, just to remind herself not to become too jaded. You've got one of those, except they have a normal human lifespan.

Granted, you could give them vaguely thematic powers with their CP stipend and background. I netted my Death and Delight (while figuring out which Endless favored which of them I assumed they'd bless themselves-which is how I ended up with a sane Delerium somehow) a dimension apiece, based on the idea the Endlesses distributed a little extra of themselves to keep the mini-me up and running. Sort of like a Reality Marble in reverse.

I figured they worked well since they have the most characterisation out of the Luna personalities. And besides there's already a little doubling down with the Cthonic Baara's bridle and Islebreaker/a mention of Leviathan as the basis for the Casteless background.

Also, just wanted you to know the Catklave cracks me up every time. How does that thing even slab anything. I take it if you find bigger, sharper or more magical cats later on you can "reforge" the Catklaive by extracting the central cat and gathering new hive-cats?

Looks cool. I like the new scenario, though I'd have liked something less focussed on the Eldrazi and more on the rest of the plane too.

But... why do we have to pay to choose a Faction aside from Hermit?

They don't come with extra memories or anything, nor do they give extra discounts over Hermit.

You don't even start with a coherent faction, because it'll still take 2 years before the Eldrazi are released.

So... I'm not really seeing any reason for the 100cp price on them, when even the actual backgrounds are all free?

Quick question, who did the latest Bleach Jump again? Got a question about having a unique zanpakutou power other than what was available.

Want to make my shikai's blade have cutting power equal to how much Reiatsu I put in it. Then on Bankai, the sword is dispersed into my reiatsu, making it just cut everything around me.

However, I don't quite see the option in the jump.

>The Swords... I'm not sure how they would work in Jumpchain. I'll see what I can do.

A generic "100CP per point of Mana Cost" entry might work - similar to the CP-per-dot entry for random artefacts in (IIRC) Exalted Infernals. There are so many artefacts in Mirrodin, that I'd still be taking dozens of non-CP ones, but it'd be a useful option.

A few specific artefacts that need "powerful but nonwanked" interpretation would be tricky with that - Worldslayer, the Tower of Calamities, Darksteel Forge, etc, but those could be dealt with as actual items.

Of course, if you do that, I'll take infinity Ornithopters... so maybe "50CP for 0-mana".

The easiest way is being Essence 7, and using Constructive Convergences of Principles to just shape them up where you want them.

Geomantic Redistricting Oblation and one of the Cecelyne Charms can make new Demesnes too.

And if you have the time, you can just use "mundane" geomancy to make new Demesnes with large-scale geomantic manipulations.

>>52699455
>I figured they worked well since they have the most characterisation out of the Luna personalities.
True, but the most characterisation is still not that much. I don't really want to saturate the jump with them too much, one thing for each aspect seems fine to me.

(Though I'm still missing Samesshana, the Silver Mirror. There's basically nothing on them though.)

>And besides there's already a little doubling down with the Cthonic Baara's bridle and Islebreaker/a mention of Leviathan as the basis for the Casteless background.
Eh, Leviathan's not really the basis for the Casteless background. I just based the willpower perk on him, because he was noted as being practically immune to Wyld taint before getting his tattoos.

Though the Gridle and the Chthonic Baara are bit of doubling down, yes. They still do different things

>But... why do we have to pay to choose a Faction aside from Hermit?.

How about some of those living weapons for the items?

A modular lower body like Sheoldred's?

Or some contracts, like Geth's, but hopefully made to bind people to you?

>Contract of Geth. Contracts created by Geth bind their signers not by word but by will. Those who break a contract of Geth fall utterly into his power. This has made the dangerous contracts a standard for compacts between distrusting parties. Thane Geth sends these eldritch metal tablets all over the world in the hands of parading guarded retinues, ensuring the secrecy of the signers.

Furnaces for the Red phyrexians, surgery tables/equipment/rooms for the Blue phyrexians...?

Canisters of the Spore, or Mycosynths producing the stuff, which enables the metal anatomy of Mirrodin's life?

Canisters of Necrogen, or something belching the stuff out?

Aura.

Used to prefer Psionics but changed my mind. Psionics + Freerunning brings you pretty close to being a psychic ninja so that's great but the emotion sensing of Aura was just too useful early on.

Personally really like the modular body thing Sheoldred has. It's just fun to have this massive monster body, and then be able to just disconnect and slither-skitter around if you feel like it.

Also, maybe the Argent Etchings for the Orthodoxy? Not sure what to do with them, but they're pretty cool.

>Although Phyrexia may retain a dim "memory" of its forms on other worlds, Phyrexian life on Mirrodin has largely had to grow and adapt its own structures and institutions. One such institution is a collection of written religious law and scripture known as the Argent Etchings. The Etchings are scribed on a vast, silver sculpture said to have been fashioned in the shape of a bizarre cardiac organ, perhaps based on Karn's Phyrexian heart or some part of the Praetor Elesh Norn. The etched sculpture contains maxims and laws that are interpreted by religious leaders and Praetors to fit their ends.

In any case, looking forward to seeing the jump when it's done.

How will things in Exalted deal with speedblitzing? I took a lot of drawbacks that make people want to kill me and from what I can tell, trying to brute-force them with fuckoff lasers or ounch them with planet-destroying strength is likely to get that just parried back into my own face. But it seems even the Primordials are relatively slow and the Charms require conscious effort to activate? Is lightning speed+ enough?

>>
>>52700712

>>
>>52700712
Not as much as you think. If you're moving faster then lightning, there's not a hope in hell any exalt has of doing anything if they don't have stuff that lets them not be sneak attacked.

Even if they do, just throw things at lightning speed at them till they run out of motes. Or just do lots of attacks over and over. They run out eventually and they're not fast enough to actually come close to hitting you back.
>>
>>52700747
Yeah, that was what I was trying to do with attacking before they could react. But apparently that won't work.

Is there any other general method that might work well?
>>
>>52700747
Or pick up an elemental immunity and rapid fire them with appropriate elemental attacks till they burn through there motes/willpower. Using perfect defenses can run down your mote supply pretty quick.
>>
>>52700791
Aslo, another thing. Not all Exalts have stuff that protects against surprise.

Heck, just don't punch as hard as you can, since you indicated having planet busting strength. Even a weak punch at that level would insta kill them if it got through while not doing anything if they reflect it. So literally stand there and smack them until they die. They can't even run because of how fast you are.

All those perfect defenses will do is make them sit there and realise they're about to die as soon as they run out of motse.

Ok it is easy to explain. See this old wizard had a bunch of nazi gold right? Well he was an asshole so he brought about the spirit of his wife and daughter as angry witch ghosts via abuse and torture through time loops, then cast a spell on his home so that everyone would die and experience splits in reality at random intervals so even if they die the past present and future diverge and cause splinter realities which then mesh together into what resembles a big game of magic clue being reset over and over. Learning the secret of the nazi gold and the witch only brings you back to the wizard and eventually a boygirl who becomes the witch in one reality and may or may not in others but that doesnt matter because it all ends up in a way that may or may not be true.

And it is all for the best kind of gold, nazi gold.

A question for those interested in Divinity: Original Sin.

Would anyone mind terribly if I just allowed you to be whichever of the six races you wanted and left it at that? There's no hard stats or anything for ANY of them in the game, but I don't want to lock people into being just Human simply because the game takes place deep in Human lands.
>>
>>52702176
Could you at least type them out with decriptions and have them as free to take?

Red and White primarily, but with a little Black and Blue.

Well, sure, I can do a short paragraph on each. I was planning to do that anyways.

I just didn't want to have to figure out stat buffs and penalties to go along with them since there's not really any canon information for me to work with.

Do the various White Mage Perks and Items that enhance Healing Magic only effect Physical Healing? Say, for example, I have Magic that allows me to Cure somebody of their Insanity and correct their Mental Health, or maybe Magic that restores restores Passion and Deadened Emotions within someone who has been traumatized, do the White Mage Perks and Items work on those kinds of Magics? Or is it Physical only?

>and memories
Oh look, the old take away everything that makes it a jumpchain in one package because I an in uncreative fuck who cannot think of an appropriate disadvantage. Because Personality Death is always fun to tack into everything else just because.

You could have done something clever like 'A blank slate' where like the default heroes you start with no backstories, just a vague sense of what you need to do. That would make sense.

Or 'You won a Sweepstakes' where you have all you memories, but just the stuff you took in the current jump, and have to beat the game, as a call back to the old Nintendo Power contest.

But you went with the thing where 'you are the blank protagonist, with no powers or personality, and I reprogrammed the game so one of the fiends randomly attacks you out of sequence a few towns early in Elfland You are under-leveled and die. Fin times. Aren't I clever!'

I robbed numerous tribes in Indiana Jones of their sacred whatevers to keep the Nazis from acquiring them, especially if they were actually magic.

I sold the Mayor of Megakat City catnip on the regular whenever I needed him out of the way for a few days. I'm not sure what level of political corruption that is.

I was the official executioner in Alterworld because I'm the only person that can keep things dead without torturing them to catatonia and sealing them in cement.

White Hat hacking is always morally dubious because you're violating others rights for ostensibly good reasons. I do that a lot. Also, most spy and intelligence work.

Using my looks, social manipulation, and charisma perks to get TV Shows I don't like taken off the air. Only morally ambiguous because I've used it to end Supernatural early in multiple jumps. People afterward often wonder what they were thinking.

Also I abused the time resets in Code Lyoko to win the lottery.

Twilight has a perk that makes all Monsters weak to their 'classic' weaknesses, even if the versions in that particular universe aren't effected by it. For example there are settings where Sunlight or Crosses don't work on Vampires, this perk makes them work.

Van Helsing has a perk that "widens" the weaknesses of Monsters. For example Werewolves are weak to Silver, with the perk they are now weak to any precious metal.

Using both of them you can make Monsters really easy to beat in all future settings.
>>
>>52704290
>Not sure where Tiger goes.
I'd guess White/Black/Red. White for ruling and stuff, Black for wanting to conquer the world, and Red for poor impulse control.

>Cast Enlarge Person on the fairy
>the Fairy grows from Dimunitive to Tiny size, still no larger than a cat.
I mean, if that's what you're into...
>>
>>52704379
Do those perks only work when you're personally wielding them or do they apply to all people in the setting? For that matter, do they apply to you if you're a monster?
>>
>>52704394
That's what I was thinking, which is odd considering his vast differences from Justice, and yet they share two colors.

There are other spells that can enlarge people even further.
>>
>>52704416
If I remember correctly they only work if you're personally wielding them, so it doesn't apply to all people in the setting, and thus you aren't weak to all of that unless you attack yourself.
>>
>>52703781
I started a propaganda campaign to convince the PLANTs in Gundam SEED that they deserved to be nuked and that Junius 7 was justified. Given jumper-level charisma, it worked. I call this morally dubious instead of outright good because it strengthened Blue Cosmos's position, and those guys are only slightly less monstrous than ZAFT. So it wasn't all for the good. I don't regret it, though.
>>
>>52704379
>Van Helsing has a perk that "widens" the weaknesses of Monsters
Would that make Vampires weak to a flashlight? What about stuff you're not actively responsible for? Like, logically it should make them weak to Moonlight, but a passive global anti-vampire effect seems a bit silly.
>>

Dungeon Master (Dwarf Fortress) lets me domesticate animals. Warp Paintings (Super Mario) let me generate arbitrarily large quantities of living space. Betwixt the two, it's been easy to build up massive armies of Chain Chomps, hydras, and other beasties.

This is a weird one, and not all that useful, but I like it a lot anyway. It's a combination of Avatar Cycle from Avatar the Last Airbender, The Making of Myth from Swords and Sorcery, and Cosmic Fact from Marvel. Avatar Cycle lets you pseudo-reincarnate, passing down your powers to another once you die. The Making of Myth established a version of you long in the past of the setting as a mythical figure. And Cosmic Fact gives you an in-character justification for any of your powers as a jumper. Put them together and the reason I'm so powerful is because I'm the reincarnation of myself, an ancient god-being from an primordial era predating all other ancients.

Will canon companions immediately lose access to their domains when entering a new jump? Because half of what they are is their power.

If we use an artificial to stack domains from people in the jump (which are dependent on the fame of others), will those domains then degrade in other jumps (and maybe potentially STREGNHED with your fame)? Or will they remain linked to whoever you took it from, and just never increase/decrease?

Does the domain transferrer do anything after the jump?

Personally I think the domain section could be expanded to include more potential domains - it's a very obscure setting and the domains are sort of the cornerstone of it.

Glimwarden jump when? :)

Celestial Martial Arts, which are pretty good. In theory you can learn any CMA there, as a Third Circle Demon you can expect Suntarankal to be pretty well-learned. But the two signature martial arts of Malfeas are Black Claw Style, which is about misdirection and shadows; and Infernal Monster Style, which is about stunningly brutal violence and sheer terror.

>>52704655
Presumably. Most heavily-populated places in Malfeas do, and as a Third Circle Demon Adorjan's less-likely to come around there in the first place. Unless you took the drawback that lets her stalk you, of course. Stay to the noisier chambers, the ones with all the weird training machines.

>>52704669
In order:

Canon companions could maybe have their powers locked to stay at least as strong as they were upon leaving the jump, with the possibility of being stronger if more famous in a new world.

Stolen domains...it depends, I think. Normal jumpchains, as I understand it, have any worlds you leave freeze in time, in which case they wouldn't get any stronger or weaker.

Domain transferrer doesn't currently do anything after the jump, aside from let you move around your own domains. I'll have to think on what else could be done with it.

I could definitely expand the domain section, sure.

Glimwarden is an interesting one, for sure. I'm probably going to wait until he's finished writing it, though, and there's a couple issues to be hammered out there (getting darkling hearts in other universes?)

Thanks for looking it over!

Pretty much any martial art you could want, really? With the exception of Holy stuff and Sidereal styles, but as an Infernal you couldn't use those anyway...

Though Suntarankal does focus mainly on brutal styles, so you're more likely to learn something like Infernal Monster by default.

Probably no Black Claw either, considering it's tied so closely to Mara (might be more likely to find that in the Ten Shadows Academy though).

Going to Suntarankal's academy means you leave either a master of at least one style with the basics of multiple more, or you die in there.

I can't believe I didn't get to see this question until now but let me think....it's noticeable, but it isn't anything too wild. You'll definably be taking a lot less damage from spells. But it's nothing that minor Naga Blood doesn't grant. You won't be resisting any powerful mind control spells with it, because the canonical holder of Major Naga blood in both generations got hit with mind affecting spells and they were affected by it. Oh no, not at all. I have TONS of Kamen Rider Devices. They're basically what I tinker with when I'm bored and don't have a specific project in mind.

Kamen Rider Roulette is a planned project for when I hit Ryuki. Advent Cards plus Core Medals into one belt. Cards and Coins combined with a gambling motif.

Kamen Rider Passion was my first real belt, which was basically the Fourze and OOOs belt crammed together. That has some... interesting side effects when others use it. Which I only discovered when Raven tried to use it. I hadn't realized Above the Influence was as useful as it was.

There's also Kamen Rider Grit, which is Frisk's belt. That one runs of DETERMINATION and has a slot for a single Core Medal and a single Cosmic Switch. It was based off the Coin Flip Driver.

I've got a bunch more, but I don't think anyone wants me to ramble on about them for much longer.
>>
>>52705539
All but one of those (Ghost Warriors) is just a way of putting to use a single soul. Unless you wank them giving you three souls a piece, I don't think you'd be able to summon more than two copies at a time.

143. Pirates of the Caribbean
Location: Tortuga
Origin: Pirate, Age: 31, Theme: Otherworldly
Perks: Swordsman, Cuttlefish Style, Plunder and Pillage, Nobody's Tool, Sea Turtles Mate
Items: Sword
Drawbacks: The Rums Gone!

Anyway, step one in this jump is to get the fuck out of Tortuga. Tortuga without rum is probably the most dangerous place in this world that isn't the mouth of a kraken. So I jumped into the ocean and rode a massive wave of my own creation into the fog bank where I wanted the Archipelago to be. The lack of rum there was met with an immediate switching to whiskey and grumbling.

Given my hateboner for slavery, slaveships were my natural target, and plundering from slave owners was how I payed the bills. I made my way to Port Royal fairly early on and watched the pirate attacks there. I stole the Wooden Eye and was the Pirate Lord of the Caspian Sea and proceeded to pirate there, sparing as many lives as possible. Which turns out to be a lot when you can heal any wound short of being dead for a few days and have a habit of convincing people to join your crew. I had a fleet before long, and locked the East India Trading Company out of the area.

I called the Fourth Meeting of the Brethren Court and voted for Elizabeth Swan as Pirate King, and Davey Jones takes exception to the atomization of ships, so I had to fight him a lot there. When push came to shove I just blew up the box with a hand grenade. Got the job done. And Will and Elizabeth lived pirately ever after.

*Affinity – Luck (300)
Equipment:
*Holy Grail (150, Discount)
*VesselX 2 (50)
+ Cute Vessel (100)
+ Supernaturally Durable Vessel (200)

Journal Entry # 46 - 1

Wow thought this was going to turn out like the last jump for a while. I started in Nagasaki, not the best place for an Angel of Creation, especially with all the tech and fire demons running around. Still I had a job I had to inspire a writer to write a book about Nagasiki and Hiroshima. I managed to get the inspiring over with quickly and get out before much problem.

Journal entry # 46 - 8

So for some reason my boss right now is Khalid the archangel of faith… who is an ass. Eli my real boss was just an awesome guy. He was someone who just let people be themselves, I think he understood artists a lot better than Khalid.

Anyways Khalid is trying to enforce discipline upon us… which he is finding is like herding cats. We are liking it about as much as a bunch of Cats that some idiot is trying to herd. I just don’t think he gets we aren’t the boot lickers that his angels are (nothing against those from the faith department… they just need to relax a little, take it down a few notches)

Journal Entry # 46 - 23

Well So I managed to stop some demons of fire who were going to burn down a museum. Their plan seemed to be just destroy as much as possible… which I guess makes sense for Demons of fire. Anyways that was a pain but I have managed to keep my quota up so that should keep my current boss off my back. We need to get Eli back or find a way to get Khalid to actually relax.

Journal Entry # 46 – 33

Damn it…*sigh* so I found out Snowflame has been hanging out with drug demons again. no way this ends well...

Summoning (Samurai Jack) doesn't uses souls.

The original might have, but the one in the Jump is clearly different.

I counted four? I was using Dark Binding and Choosen of the Slain together to get over the 'willing' part, via Power Combinations (Young Justice) and Transcendance (Bleach)
>>
>>52704311
I got Personal Constellation and True Constellation from Paper Mario, and aside all the shenanigans that already gives me on its own, I combo'd it with the Hab in Eclipse Phase.

The Hab's been converted into a Coronal Hab, orbits the central one of my stars, and now seeds almost every universe I go to with Suryas.

Aside from that, I've got a Quantum Brain from Gundam 00, Insight from Bloodborne, and Vectors from Elfen Lied.

I can see into the quantum realm, and use quantum telekinesis.

By being an Earth-aspect Dragon-Blooded with Legendary Breeding, Infinite Patience from Great Detective, Self-Sustenance from DC, and having take some appearance perks... I can now pass for an idealised marble statue, just by standing still and not breathing.

Deadman Wonderland and Bloodborne let me use my blood to attack. Pacific Rim, Webmage, Exalted: Infernals, and Street Sharks turns my blood into reality-eating, poisonous, toxic, acid, made of little sharks... and Barkley’s Shut & Jam Gaiden adds Gatorade into the mix.

There's also Can't Keep Down The Clown from Sburb, and various regen perks to make sure I've always got enough blood.
>>
>>52705662
That's silly but I understand that the subject in question is also up to the Jumper in question in most cases, though arguments could be made both for and against such a ruling it has such a large scope it would be up to Jumpers, as Jumpmakers have little control outside the settings they create.

>>52705483
What do you mean by this?

>>52705724
I do as long as the relationship isn't parasitic in nature, as in I like to give back as often as I take something from worshipers in my Jumps.
>>
>>52705724
No, not really. Well, maybe a little bit. Not much. Just, you know, as much as any normal person would? It's very satisfying in the same way just generally being appreciated feels good. It's more meaningful when you don't ask to be worshiped though, and in general I like to think of worshipers as 'fans' then 'devotees'. It's very satisfying in bed too, but in a different sense.
>>
>>52705724
It was a little uncomfortable at first. It's more of a practical business deal now though.
>>

Hey Tamerai, I've got a question for Generic Videogame Developer. For Artist, we're going the art for the game itself, right? I mean, besides concept art and all that, we'd also be doing stuff for how the game itself looks, correct? So with the Artist tree and the Indie booster, we could make Super Mario Bros. (for example) look way better then the one that was actually made in the real world, right?

Eh, I'd agree with you, but Wood Release is just so amazingly versatile I can see why it's price more expensively. Although i am of the opinion that half the reason it appears so impressive is because anyone who uses it is absolutely insane powerhouses.

You know, just from the wiki article, the only element it would obviously be connected to is Wind, as the only basic element that makes sense. You could argue that it's just a special Wind element kekkai-genkai variant.

Or maybe a mix of Wind and Yin-chakra rather than another more traditional element, like Lightning.

Just my thoughts, doesn't really affect what your planning either way.

Also, just as you mention the three elements - Crystal if it was included should totally be a thre element chakra style - earth, fire and water.

But seriously, focusiong on your point. me personally, don't care if you want to do that, although others may have contrary opinions and if you do want to do it, then 200cp does seem reasonable.

Have fun with your jump, man, and have a good Easter.

Ready Player One from Kidd Rad gives you a mentor who is always better than you at anything you can do. Enhanced Mastery from Worm breaks skill caps and advances training by 1 month to every hour spent. Teach Me Master from Xianxia means so long as you have a teacher you can pick up vast amounts of skill in months to years which works well with EM. A multilocation spell from Mage the Awakening means part of me can sit down in a hyperbolic time chamber or warehouse and put in work while I just enjoy myself outside. Forsenics Montage from Investigation jump makes training go by at the speed of a commercial break. Practice Makes Perfect from Secret of Evermore means I can just think of a skill and improve on it. I just had a thought I found amusing concerning the Thor stupidity in Marvel.

That being making a bunch of other Thor items with highly negative side effects, and have them all target Jane with Thor's Hammer.

For example stuff like.

>Whosoever has this helmet upon their head, if they wield the name and hammer of Thor's shall posses the financial obligation for the financial damage of Thor.

>Whosoever has this scarf around their neck, if they wield the name and hammer of Thor shall speak in the language of the ancient Norse that worshiped Thor.

>Whosoever has this bracelet on their arm, if they possess the hammer and name of Thor shall be legally recognized as Thor revoking all legal aspects of their previous identity.

>Whosoever has this cloak over their shoulder, if they possess the hammer and name of Thor shall be bound to fulfill the prayers of those who pray to Thor.

>Whosoever has these sunglasses over their eyes, shall they possess the hammer and name of Thor shall possess the destiny of Thor.

The last one might be a little much, but it's comics so it's probably not as lethal as it would be normally.

Meanwhile The Sims 3 has Nine to Five which lets you enter any place of business and get a job.

One of the Star blessing perks in King Arthur lets you hear prayers.

People who worship me are less than dirt. I lose all respect for people who worship me. You've given up higher reasoning for my own, in pursuit of a flawed concept. Following blindly, you might as well be just another robot. No. You'd be worth less than a robot, because robots are made with a purpose, and one who worships me has given up theirs.

Just ask the cultists I got from Hatred.

People who worship me are nothing more than toys, to be played with until I get bored. They are dolls. Sometimes I move them around, or make them play parts in my little stories. Sometimes I tack extra things onto them, like weapons or clothes or extra body parts to make them b͘et͝͡͠t͢e͜͟r̀. And sometimes I just break them.
It doesn't matter.
Dolls don't get to choose what happens to them.

No, I don't.

I like making fluffy things, like Mimigas, or Beastmen, and using them as mooks for my various research stations and things.
But I mostly stick with Goats, just out of laziness.

>Whosoever has this cloak over their shoulder, if they possess the hammer and name of Thor shall be bound to fulfill the prayers of those who pray to Thor.
Jane's kind of being an irresponsible bitch about not doing that, come to think of it. Thor used to do stuff like answer prayers for rain from alien children on other planets who had heard of him.

Jane just kinda... gets in yelling matches with Odin and has villains surrender to her because "girl power!"?

When it comes to "what power you draw from" then one or two is appropriate - because it's fucking hard to be a generalist when it requires meditation and evocation of such a broad span of emotions and land-associations.

But when it comes to actual personalities, it'd be weird for people to not be mostly at the centre.

Yes. They produce tasty prayers for me, and in return, I give them magic and encourage them to spread whatever moral system I feel needs to be spread.

Especially fun in jumps where magic doesn't exist but people are still religious!

>>52707120
I don't. That would defeat the point of them being mooks.

... Of course, I don't usually make mooks in the first place, so if there are mooks in the area, it's because I decided that I needed something for my enemies to mow down like grass, so empowering is mostly missing the point.

>...uh, but it hasn't helped?

Power granting items like the Bending Scroll, activating their Hamon or Aura, offering Alchemy as an option to AP Chemistry students in high school. My Resident Evil virus is as safe as can be, but only boosts intelligence. A cloned body part implanting of my Conduit Gene using Make Me A Better Man as a basis for those willing to undergo a potentially dangerous surgery. Those that have the spiritual strength can get a stand from the Arrow.

You know, kung fu spiritual and genetics stuff.

All-Black the Necrosword is the personal weapon of Gorr the God-Butcher, an alien who travels the cosmos killing gods due to being the edgiest atheist ever. It started as the weapon of the first god he ever killed, and has only grown in power as it's been bathed in the blood of divine beings. Eventually Thor defeats him by absorbing the power of the multiverse-shattering Godbomb that Gorr was making and claiming the Necrosword for his own, granting him a "God of Butchers" super-mode that greatly increases his power to the point that he can fight Galactus. Which was actually a mistake, because Galactus wound up absorbing the Necrosword and turning from the Eater of Worlds to the Butcher of Worlds, destroying not just to feed his hunger but out of pure malice. It was fucking metal. Thor: God of Thunder was such a good comic, and they replaced it with such a bad one.

You know, I don't think I've ever actually said that line? I'm totally missing a box on my edgy mctryhard bingo card!

I have teleported behind people, though! That's, like, super fun to do.
But only do it when you really outclass people. But only in settings where that's also kinda normal? If you're doing it in a completely mundane setting, it just causes people to freak the fuck out and isn't really all that cool. You get a lot more mileage out of just disappearing and then doing, like, Batman intimidation tactics.
... and of course, if you're doing it against someone who can actually keep up with you, that's just grounds for getting your face kicked in.
Which has happened to me.
Rock Lee is very fast.

... but I don't use a katana. Katanas are lame.

Man, if you guys think that's bad, you haven't been here long.
In fact, you haven't even been listening to ME for very long. I've totally killed a planet while staring forlornly out the window while it rains. This is nothing.
>>
>>52707053

Seriously? Actually all things consider I can not be surprised.

>>52707113

Well this would solve that problem. After all if their going to have the identity of a god while being a superhero than clearly they should have the responsibilities of being said god as well.

Damn, aside from the nu!Thor, everything else about the comics look pretty badass.

How's Marvel Magic going? That All-Father perk looked so nice...
>>
Are there any perks for understanding inhuman/alien minds?

I know there's that one from infernals, but I need as many of these as I can get. I'm currently pretty early in a chain that I do intend to eventually finish, and until another endjump IP convinces me otherwise, I'm aiming for the Gurren Lagann diplomacy scenario.

I'm contemplating making a bunch of hamhams from Hamtaro, combing them with my freakish Moth DNA and then setting them free in grimdark settings so that they'll bring a bit of joy wherever they go. Of course, they'll have DG cells in them so they're almost impossible to kill, and they're super smart to the point where they'd make Hamham civilization, and eventually I might give them the Renegade Virus just for kicks so they now have superpowers, and I may teach them magic.

...but I'm sure it'll be fine, right?

also dropping updated Hamtaro WIP in a few

Supreme Commander, Ar Tonelico, Worm.

Using Doormaker and the Portal Gun Thing, create a network of empty worlds. Use SupCom to seed them with Supcom/Ar Tonelico hypercomputers and Paragons. Within a day or so, thousands of empty worlds will be converted - and that's an exponential process.

At that point, you're basically a robotic version of an Entity from Worm - so it's time to start handing out Reyvateil Exaltations!

That's in the far future. The universe is old and earth is dead and abandoned. Except for Thor, who still hangs out there and his granddaughters who visit him. Galactus is scrounging for planets and decides to finally devour the earth. Thor takes up the Necrosword, a magic evil symbiotic suit of armor that one of Thor's worst enemies almost used to wipe out every god across time and space.

They fight. It's pretty damn cool.
