As an hive mind created by a legion of undead-creatures, each of them imbued by is power.
Can it work?
What are the limitations of this?
What, you mean like a rhizome? The GitS: Solid State Society movie handled the concept well, I think.

I didn't know that,
I thought I was being original.....
Now I'm sad.....
Good JOB ANON!

Where did he trap his soul, though?

The horde would probably be very weak to turn undead spells, just get about ten clerics or paladins and stand them in a circle around the undead casting shit until they're ash.
>Captcha: Sunrise Route
Bam, you have a name for this maneuver.

Nothing is original. There was a boss in Dark Souls 2 that did this exact thing.
What if one of the undead is sentient, has one one-thousandth of a lich's soul inside of him that makes him do bad things, but is actually a pretty nice dude otherwise?

Okay
So:
>How do we call him/them? (I'm thinking: Legion of *Wizard name*, The unrelenting horde, *wizard name* the numerous....)
>Does he/they have to replenish their number?
>How many is they?

>>Does he/they have to replenish their number?
Of course.
>>How many is they?
Roll the wizard's hit dice, that's how many skeletons will be there.
>>How do we call him/them?
*name* the Numerous is rad. I thoguht of other names, but yours are better.

Sounds Martinesque.

>The skeletons are not animated undead, they're animated objects.
Take that party cleric.
Can they get non-humanoid skeletons in itself?
Imagine that horde with skeleowlbears.
Or skele-dragons.
