Found the image on google, it's also missing my favourite combo: Fountain of Hui and Eagle Scope. Infinite knowledge and the ability to focus on what you needed.
Would you /tg/?
>>52666972
what did eagle scope do on its own?
Also, wasn't fountain of hui useless on its own because you were flooded with literally everything?
>>52667008
Would I?

It allowed "sight like an eagle" so basically you could zoom.
and yeah, that's why I love it. May include something similar in my own game. DC 30 will save to avoid being dazed with knowledge for a number of hours equal to how below the DC you were.

Holy shit, yes I would. The characters from Soul Eater are faggots that flip their shit at the drop of a hat, Excalibur isn't particularly more annoying than a pissed of cat or four year old.Plus, I'm an optimistic fuck and believe that I could earn some modicum of respect at some point, or at least that he'd calm his tits after hanging out long enough without getting shoved back into the stone again.

Only The first and last book or in their correct spots
This series is absolutely stuffed full of great magical items.
>>52668637
The Mask comics are highly enjoyable. I really liked the Lobo crossover too.
>>52668895
I think it was listed in order of obscurity. The Belt wasn't overly powerful until you got the whole thing together and it went from a collection of low-level wondrous items to a collective artifact that chased the BBEG out of your country and purged the land of his corruption presence.
There were like three subsequent series though right? Three flutes for the country north of Del Tora that fell to the BBEG before, and his actual domain north of that IIRC. Forgot what the mcguffin was there.
>>52668895
Yeah but the point is that it's like being able to wear 20 different low level belts at once, and a good few low level non-belt items, as a single belt, which is actually pretty fucking sick.
Not to mention some are pretty fucking strong if you scaled them up to proper high level DnD threats.
>STR enhancement, Immunity to Fear, Immunity to Disease, CHA enhancement
>Permanent Detect Evil, Permanent Detect Lies, Immunity to Inhalation and Consumed Poison
>Bonus Feat(Lucky)
>INT enhancement, Immunity to Mind-Altering Effects, Immunity to Dream-based spells
>At-will Vision spell-like ability, Perception enhancement
>Permanent Protection from Evil, Immunity to injected or contact poison
>WIS enhancement, Permanent Detect Poison and Disease, Constant Guidance
>Permanent Epic Level Protection from Evil, with miles radius, At-will Epic Level Banishment
It's pretty fucking strong bro
>>52669088
you just know that the GM was kicking himself during the last few sessions.
He knew that he had made a way too powerful BBEG with no real weakness for the party to prey on.
"What? You stab the bbeg with your sword? Well.. according to the lore that I created, your sword melts and he is unhurt"
"You throw the belt around him?" *Gm looks at the clock, knowing he has to do a 16 hour shift in 5 hours* "Sure.. he melts. The bbeg simply couldn't handle all the.. love I guess. Well that's it for tonight. See ya next week where we will go against the triforce.. Er.. I mean.. collect three flutes"
>>52669201
hmm it has been quite a few years since I read those books. But I loved them when I was younger.. Maybe I should give them a read again
>>52669044

>>52666610
Question, what is the difference between the Pig and Dragon Talismins?
>>52667880
But that's science
>>52668365
It's about the item, not the media it's from. Go sperg out somewhere else, The Mask would be a great magical item in a campaign.
>>52669481
Just play TOON then.
The grim reapers scythe is always a good one, many depictions to pick from. From being able to open portals to other realities and after lives, to being able to kill the normally unkillable.
>>52669411
Laser eyes come from your eyes, fireball comes from the talisman.
Also laser beams vs fireballs. Nobody ever spammed fireballs either, but the pig eyebeam'd constantly in that one episode.
>>52668365
Wait... Jim Carry... not funny? Did I enter the fucking twilight zone? I mean we don't have to all like the same thing it's just, the first time I've ever seen this opinion. True he's been in bad movies but I usually chalked that to bad direction
>>52669547
So eye beams have volume of fire while fireballs have more raw power, personally I'd rather take the shadowkhan masks instead though
>>52668895

>>52669019

>>52669592
interesting effect > win button
>>52669019
looks cool, what's the series?
>>52669592
The belt is just cool as a concept and from a story perspective. It has a rich history, deep symbolism and unique powers that don't feel too generic. A good item is powerful but not broken. Archtypal but not cliche. A part of the setting and story but not the only feature.
The Belt does all of that in spades.
>>52669613

It may be one of the best comic series ever.
Read it. You won't regret it, I promise.

>>52669726
I'd say the head leviathan maybe but that whole season is one I'd just prefer to forget about.
>>52669246
Yeah, the main thing that makes the belt not really shine is the fact that it's being used by a party of level 3 to 5 commoners who run from most boss fights and only want to participate in solving dungeon puzzles. They were generally up against Giant Rats and Dune Bugs, mostly in the form of swarms, so it's use is limited there.
They sure managed to fuck up any kind of witch or wizard they encountered with relative ease.
>>52669756

It's just that all of his movies seem like He s playing the same goofy tryhard in every movie.
I'm well aware that he has tons of fans, and that's fine. I hate when ppl go full on stop liking what I don't like, so I accept that ppl can watch his stuff.
I just, I can't stand his goofy face... it seems that he hasn't done anything to be a better comedian since he was on In Living Color.

The sonic screwdriver is literally a plot-device device. It has logical function other than to advance the plot and then when it would solve an issue too easily the writers just contrive a reason why it doesn't work. It;s lazy storytelling at its finest

If Lucifer's immunity is because of the Mark, then that shit has changed.
If there is no mark out in the world, the number of people immune has dropped to four. The remaining figure is probably something else that is a primordial power.
>>52672210
Well, it's literally forged out of righteousness by deities. In terms of slaying evil, the only thing more powerful is probably the gods themselves.
>>52672256
weeell, the sword itself is pretty much as mundane as it gets.
But it got a supernatural aura, not like "get +1 to attack damage" but by the curses of those it killed.
basically, it can affect supernatural creatures because said creatures aknowledge it existence as a thing that kills a lot of stuff very well.

So the Lost Room is a cool setting for a miniseries that was on SciFi. I'd pay money to see more movies/series made it in. It'd also make a cool /tg/ setting.
But the short version is this: There are a number of weird magical objects in the world. They're all mundane things that were in a motel room during a semi-mysterious Event. Some get useful powers, others less so. Like The Pencil generates pennies when tapped against a table. The Watch can hard boil an egg placed in the strap...like I said. Some aren't so useful.
The Key is considered one of the most powerful because it's so useful. If you place The Key into the lock of any (swinging) door and open it, it opens into the motel room from the event. Which has been separated from reality into its own pocket dimension.
If you close the door behind you you basically seal yourself off from the rest of the universe, perfectly safe. The OTHER super useful power is that when you open the door from inside the room it opens to any (swinging) door you can think of. Effectively teleportation via doors to anywhere in the world.
There's some other aspects to it that are relevant to the plot of The Lost Room, but that's basically it.
In M&M terms this is a Teleport with a rank high enough to teleport anywhere in the world, with Accurate, and Medium (Doors). It also needs Movement (Dimension Travel) and a other dimensional HQ.
>>52673129
oooh that sounds pretty cool
>>52673220
There's others.
The Bus Ticket teleports anybody who touches it to a particular location in the middle of nowhere on Route 66. The ticket does not go with you. So guy who owns it put duct tape on the edge so he can hold it and use it as a banishment weapon.
The Jacket's power is unknown, but like all Objects is indestructible. So it's bulletproof.
The Comb, when run through someone's hair, stops time for a subjective 10 seconds where the user can run around and do things.
The Glasses when worn inhibit combustion is an area around the wearer.
The Pen basically lightning bolts anybody you stab with it.
The Umbrella makes anyone who sees you think you look familiar.
There's more too that I can't really remember.
>>52671356
Unlearned and tasteless.
>>52667506
Came here to post this, but I was already too late.
I started to stat this up for dark heresy once, but I realized my players were all to straight-laced to use the obviously warp-powered artifact.
>>52673016
Giving humans a method of defeating evil by themselves is tantamount to saying that their intervention is no longer necessary. Gods are NEVER wrong. They can't interfere because that would be absolute proof that giving the sword to humans was a mistake, and gods don't make mistakes. So now they're locked out by their own pride, or possibly natural law itself, from fighting Aku. Though they are definitely still providing aid to Jack, with a few occasions of literal holy power and I can only assume his immortality is their way of making sure that they don't "lose" to Aku, because as long as Jack lives there's a chance he will use the sword to kill Aku, thus proving that they were originally correct in trusting humans with the power to protect themselves.

I seem to recall the third series had to do with destroying 4 artifacts called the "sisters" which were at the farthest reaches in all of the cardinal directions. They had the usual corrupting evil aura going on and could only be destroyed by dragon fire. Most of the dragons were already extinct, with only 1 survivor for each of the 7 gems. The secret of it all was that destroying them was what the shadow lord wanted. Turns out the sisters were actually holding a sort of portal closed and when they were all melted, the portal opened up and started to siphon off the lifeforce of the land or somesuch. All the dragons just burned that, too.

I felt inspired to go back and finish what I started. In case anyone actually cares, here's the Caster statted up for Dark Heresy 1.0.
Note: I didn't put a huge amount of though into balance.

At least he's with his wife, even if they are both in hell. Maybe Crowley gave them good accommodations.

The sonic screwdrivers combined with the Tardis is a death machine. You could have it calculate the precise frequency to disintegrate something the size of a battleship but it would take centuries or millenia. You leave it somewhere safe, time travel to the future, get it back then wreck the battleship.

No, nobody beat Thanos. He beat himself. The infinity gauntlet with all the gems makes you so powerful that even your subconscious thoughts affect reality. He didn't think he was worthy of the power subconsciously and it made him lose.

One of my favorite moments from the show was when he held it over lava, threatening to destroy it, and offered it in exchange for his friends or something.
Then when they approached him to take it from him, he scooped up some lava and flung it at them because the cap is indestructible.
The science regarding lava doesn't add up, but it was clever otherwise.

Kirsty did literally nothing wrong other than solving it to see if it helped explain what the fuck Frank was doing in the attic flaying people.
She had to promise the Cenobites that she could give them someone who had escaped them before, did it, and they were STILL turboniggers and wanted to claim her too until the house caved in on them and they got bored and decided to go torture Frank for eternity.
You don't want to fuck with the Lemarchand box.
>>52681230
I might be remembering wrong, but isn't it only the giant hourglass that fucks everything up?
As I recall, the dagger itself worked even before he put it into the hourglass, but it only affected him, while the hourglass had like the ability to control the entire world or something like that.

it's not magic, at least not by design. It's a mundane hunk of metal that's been sharpened a bit. It's unusable as a weapon to a normal human.
The only thing "magic" about it is how many times it's been used to kill beings that originated in the astral realm. Its been soaked in so much astral filth that it now partially exists in the astral plane and can cut into it, dealing more damage to astral beings.
