You got sucked up into a magical rift that appeared out of nowhere and pop up into some town on the Swordcoast.

And let's make some stipulation about most /tg/ anons first to have some sensible limits.

You only have a set of your normal clothes and footwear with you.

Most of /tg/ anons have a 9 in all physical stats unless they train in a sport or do manual labor.
Int doesn't get above 11.
Cha is barely passable at 10.
Wis is a 9 as well.
Assuming you have some usefull skill that lets you work at least as manual labor.

How do you survive and what do you do?
>>
>>52630201
Well I do a fair bit of backpacking, rock climbing, and hobby-level blacksmithing, so I'd like to think my Str, Dex, and Con are at least 11. I've broken a leg and splinted it so I can hobble out of the woods, so I figure I'm slightly tough, though I'm not sure how that compares to people who have to fight hobgoblins every year. Add some ranks in medicine, craft(metalworking), climb, swim, survival, and junk like that.

It's been a while, but I've done some historical swordfighting and archery, so maybe whatever the NPC version of a ranger is? That'd be neat.
>>
>>52630201

>>
>>52630201
Does chemistry work the same here as it does on Earth? Not exactly a master chemist but I do know how to make blackpowder.
>>
I abuse everything I can and get to level 40.
>>
>>52630201
>Most of /tg/ anons have a 9 in all physical stats unless they train in a sport or do manual labor.
What if I'm just not a 5'7'' manlet? I only work out on and off, but based on maximum lifting capacity, my strength is 22.
>>
>>52630201
>you are transported to faerun
>but I choose your stat
>>
>>52630201
Alright, I can understand no-one on /tg/ having a bonus above +1 or +2 at the MOST, but capping Wis and Cha at 9 and 10 seems a bit harsh, ditto Int at 11. Yeah, most people are average, but some people have at least SOMETHING they excel at!

That said, I die in horrible agony days after arrival, unless some kind Ilmaterite can cast Cure Minor/Moderate Wounds and Cure Disease on me; half my pancreas is dead and I'm prone to pericarditis. I can't even digest food without enzyme replacers. Basically, any trip to a fantasy world is a death sentence for me now, accompanied by the most horribly crippling pain I've ever experienced.
>>
I run and hike quite a lot so I'm in pretty good shape, I am pretty tall compared to the average of d&d humans, plus I got a fairly good grasp on chemistry, mechanics and metallurgy - at least theoretical - due to my masters degree in materials engineering.

I probably end up being some sort of alchemist.
>>
>>52630290
You are halfway thorugh to gaining a fighter level and survival proficiency then.

>>52630297
You are sent to Tes V Skyrim and don't have acess to the lvl up/skill system or any magic.

>>52630324
You gain proficiency with the Alchemists set but it's only partial since the world works with magic as well.

>>52630331
Let's assume D&D5e.

----------------------------------------------------------------
I'd look up a local Martial Arts monastery and join up as a servant for the opportunity to learn, train and live safely.
After a decade i should be passable as a monk.

Either that or work as a fisherman while trying to earn cash from smugling and get my self some dragon blood along with the ritual to infuse my self with it.

>>52630344
You have a 13 in STR. Enjoy training with the local milita for your first fighter level.

>>52630354
>muh i'm a genious with photographic memory, can lift double my weight, am a metalurgy ingineer former marine with dig bick and seduce everything.

Anon, a 10 is the average stat of a healthy adult human being living in a world where farm work is necessary to feed one self.
Humans living in modern society may have higher inteligence on average compared to such societies but are gimped in almost all other areas.
>>
>>52630201
>int doesnt go above 11
youre overestimating the int of faerun and underestimating the int of the real world
I know its not like /tg/ has a bunch of 18 int geniuses, but I could see at least 13 or 14s being common

>Anon, a 10 is the average stat of a healthy adult human being living in a world where farm work is necessary to feed one self.
>Humans living in modern society may have higher inteligence on average compared to such societies but are gimped in almost all other areas.
Anon, modern first world humans are stronger and more resilient than their great-grandparents in about every way, if only dye to their diet while growing up.
>>

I work in consulting, so hopefully I could get rich by introducing superior accounting conventions in a primitive society. Adventuring, or even as much as touching a weapon? Fuck this shit. I value my life, thank you very much.

>gimped in almost all other areas.
This is not true. A lot of these farmers are probably sinewy and mentally hardy, but a malnourished four foot something peasant doesn't have shit against a 6'3'' dude who trains semi-regularly with a modern diet - something that would have been extremely rare in medieval times, but is fairly common now.

Modern humans should especially get a boost to constitution, excepting those who shower three times a day and live in near-sterile homes. Disgusting slobs like me who eat day-old mince meat on the reg and never wash our hands would be even higher.
>>
>>52630201
I'm a ranger without the animal companion, I can shoot a gun, non-modern bows, and I know how to survive outdoors.
>>
>>52630407
Go do a days worth of farm work and tell me how resilient you are compared to an old grandpa who's been doing it his whole life.

I'll tell you straight away. You won't be able to get up the next morning.

And i don't get where people get the ''malnourished medieval dirt farmer'' meme from.

>>52630420
After learning propper common you manage to land a job as a steward.
You are settled for life.

>>52630423
To you and all the other anons all i can say is that you should try and apprentice your selves to alchemists or find an institution that will take you under their wing like a church, a martial arts monastery , military order and such.
>>
>>52630452
Congratulations on being an inferior elf commoner with a pet.
How will you earn a living?
>>
>>52630201
Let's see, I guess I would try to join the carpenter guild since I've been in the woodworking business with my father and brother since childhood. Everything would take much longer to finish though since I'd have to use manual tools for everything. Might also need to introduce new carpentry tools and methods to the guild.

I also camp a lot, so lots of survival skills but plant life is different in Faerun I'll have to learn from a local herbalist the local plant lore.

In any case, a skilled craftsman of some sort of is likely with a side of specialization in survival.
>>
>>52630454

Yeah I've done that every summer at my grandpa's farm since I'm 14. It's not hardcore. You're full of shit my man. I hiked 7h straight in the mountaind on saturday and I didn't felt terrible in the morning. Just because you are weak doesn't mean that a majority of people are.

Guess I'll start a clinic in a town without a temple full of healing clerics or try and learn some magic. Don't think I'll go on any real adventures, I'm nearly completely sedentary and I'd break like a 2hp 1e wizard.

You know, you're severely undervaluing the stats stars of a common fa/tg/it. Inteligence, especially. INT, when compared to IQ (not really the best idea, but it's what we've got), we get pic related. I also imagine most of us will test in the 120+ range, which means we all have at least enough intelligence to be Wizards, or other INT based class.

It will take at least 2 years to get there.

>>52630670
A 13 is photographiv memory tier man.
Don't underestimate fantasy.

But it's true that tg would have at least a lot of anons with a 12 in Int so with a bit of study they'd be able to learn Wizard magic.
But don't forget that it costs money to do that and you need to find a willing teacher or at least buy the books you need from someone.

>>
>>52630703
>Don't underestimate fantasy

Don't overestimate fantasy, either. You're being intentionally and deliberately obtuse. Strength is based on a chart. It's in the goddamned book. And while the chart itself is ridiculous, that's what you have to go on. It's part of the internal logic of the stat. Dexterity is a little harder to quantify, as it represents not only agility and quickness, but also hand- eye coordination and manual dexterity. However, I'm sure a simple test could be devised to quantify these skills. I've already posted Intelligence.

Look, my point is that if we are using our own "stats", they wouldn't be 9- 11 in everything. They would varry, based on how we can quantify abilities.
>>
>>52630201

>>52630747
Well let's go with this then.

Let the anons distribute their stats to up toa 13 in their best aspect.
And mention what usefull skills they actually learned.

I'd have this:

13 Str
9 Dex
10 Con
11 Int
9 Wis
9 Cha

Did bricklaying and studied history.
Took a course as a security guard but don't train enough to be worthwile in a fight against any competent opponent.

Oh... alrighty then.
I'd prefer going duskblade or something gishy. It needs more training and money, but if I learned something in my course in geological resources, I should be able to introduce some technological advancements in extraction, expecially when it comes to metallic minerals (also I'd be curious about studying mithril, adamantite etc.). Anyway I should be MAD enough and I wouldn't waste that. Also my Str and Dex are probably subpar, while my Int/Cha would be.. uh, around 12 or 13? Not enough for a full casting class probably.

Your best bet is to invest your money into spell books or grab a ritual to infuse your self with dragon blood.

My personal choice woud be joining an organisation as a servant first to use the opportunity to learn or be a smuggler under the guise of a fisherman.

The most dificult task would be gaining your fisrt class level.

To become a wizard or monk you'd need at least a decade.
Clerics, Paladins and other orders would probably take you just a bit less than that.

Rogues only need an exercise to get more dexterous and some street smarts.

Fighters would need the least effort if you aren't selling your soul with maybe a year or two of dedicated training.
>>
I'm an unemployed musician. Is bard magic spontanious, or do I need to join a college or something?
>>
>>52630867
You need to learn magic properly from somwhere.

But you do have the performance skill and proficiency in whatever instrument you can use right now.

Guess you got a job at the local tavern as a waiter and performer.

If you practice pickpocketing enough you might make it as a rogue and earn enough money to join a colegge.
>>
>>52630862
Uh, maybe not dragon blood, but that gave me an idea. I could try and get enough money for some elemental ritual to become a Stone Sorcerer. It's thematic!
Or yeah, I'd probably try going rogue if that fails.

im a 21 year old, 6 foot, roughly 190 pound jobless loser, im only slightly talented at drawing in a anime/cartoon style with pencil, pen, and sometimes markers. besides that i went through a kinda frequent shoplifting phase for a little over a year before i got busted in a clothing store and haven't done it since.

I think i would enjoy a little time in a fantasy world but my main goal would be to quest for a way back home to earth."i think Elminster has canonically visited earth"

But I gotta take baby steps. I find the nearest painters/artists guild and beg pathetically to be taken in as a apprentice. if i get good enough to sell my work, i do so until i save enough money for some gear and a bow "fuck melee fighting a dude with a sword, im not getting close if i can help it" and enough money to hire a balanced party to help me on my quest.

if none of that works Im breaking into peoples houses at night and taking whatever i think is valuable to raise the money i need

But secretly I'm putting a little muscle on my lanky frame from the hard labor, memorizing the guards shifts and dispositions, and most importantly peeing on my chains in my cell over the years to erode them away but being careful not to break them completely.

Wrong. For example, a Pathfinder Advanced firearms round costs 15 Gold. You can buy the materials and build it yourself with Gunsmithing and 7 Gold and 5 Silver. They aim for Touch.

Can't imagine 5e is that far off technologically from Pathfinder.

I have asperger's syndrome so I've got Decent INT and I'm a massive Lore Autist, so I've got WIS to spare you faggot OP.

Anyhow, I immediately call on Pazuzu for some help, as my shit is fucked without gaining power.

Stuff to note is: Legit waifufags canmanifest faith due to dedication, none of us speak fuckign common, we have to avoid Pelor at all costs because Murlynd, and we hae to not get raped by bandits within the first 3 seconds of walking in the wilderness.

Also, new clothes, and a place to stay, shit's gonna suck for a while before we get anything done.

NONE OF US save for the smartest gentoomen are going to be wizarss because of the sheer mental effort required in the process of memorizing spells, writing them down in spellbooks, studying them, and understanding magic on the meta-fuck-ass level will work.

I know the True Names of Mephistopheles and Orcus, and those WILL come in handy, especially if shit goes south and it's better just to steal fat fuck Orcus's wand and become a Demon Lord with it, per it's bloodstone pass entry.

Every inch of the FR in in some shitty meta Faction war, staying the fuck out of it is the best bet to not die quickly.

Avoid the Harpers and Eliminster at all cost, as well as 420Drizzt, Minsc, and Baldurs gate, as well as the Church of Bane, because teching him baneposting as we're tortured by literally Hulk Hogan but evil is nothing short of disasterous.

IF we're rampant shitposters we may be able to become Tasocitects, turning everything into audible shitposting, but at best, we're looking at sorcery, Waif-clericism/kekism and Warlockery for rules laywers.

Also, if we have NPC levels as commoner, we can pick the flaw that lets you summon CR 32 Dungeon149 Orcus with a fucking Pig.

Killing a Tarrasque is also a feat for easy XP is we use the Alip method.

Then again, 'cheap' for adventurers. They still cost gold and the average labourer makes about 2 silver a month or some shit.

Other than that, I'mma join the church of Lathander. The Morning Lord is the god of new chances and re-inventing yourself with every new dawn, so that's perfect for someone who wants to shed his old life and become something better. Only downside is my Wis is shocking...

>>52631710
Buddy, as a fellow aspie, you may have good-ish Int, but your Wis is shit. ALL aspies Wis is shit; that's our THING - we're gimped in Wis and Cha but gain very specific knowledge bonuses for our obsessions and NOTHING ELSE.

Further, I think we can all just assume that the bullshit exploits in the rules probably don't work in reality; they're just a result of a poorly written rulebook. Sure, knowing the lore will help a LOT, but otherwise, common sense trumps bullshit exploits.

Well step one would be to determine if they speak English or (pig)Latin. and if not see if I can work out the sign language for "will work for room and board"
step 2 would be some minor experiments to see what's different. How strong is gravity for example. Can magnets induce a current?, (do they even have magnets?), et cetera.

People are on average bigger, longer lived, and all around healthyer than they were in the Middle Ages. I'm gonna take a chance and head over to the nearest witch hunters order, sneak in at the dead of night, find the hunters bane concoction and chug that bad boy down.

Besides the chance of the potion killing me, I don't see any other downsides. I imagine I'm at least slightly more likely to survive as any commoner from the world considering my better nutrition and health . If they do catch me I don't think they'll waste a hunters bane by killing me, might as well wait and see if I survive so I can be recruited.

So..... I'm an SCAfag.
I routinely fight in some of the larger scale battles during Pennsic.
I am proficient in Light, Medium and Heavy Armor.
I dumped proficiency in crossbows and firearms for focus on my recurve bow.
I am proficient in: Shortbows, Spears, Polearms, Shortswords, Longswords, Handaxes, Throwing Knives, Dane Axes, Greatswords, Trebuchet, Catapults, and Ballista.
I am a native born West Virginian, so I have a racial bonus (or a regional feat) that gives me a bonus to survival in mountainous and forested regions.
I was born in the middle of a blizzard back in March of '93, and have naturally had a higher resistance to the cold than most people I know.
I am my groups' ForeverGM.
I go on 2 - 3 hour jogs daily (I don't keep track of distance, sorry /fit/nerds) with very little stamina loss.
I own and regularly practice with: a short sword (yes, a real one), a 60 lb draw recurve bow with about 3 dozen arrows, a pair of throwing axes and a pair of throwing knives.
I make a living working retail as an assistant manager (bleh).

Stat me bois.

>>52630201
I use my knowledge of various beasties to sign on with adventurers, acting not as a typical member of a troupe, but rather as a source of knowledge for whatever they are facing.

Giant spiders? Bring torches and razor sharp knives to cut through webs, along with antitoxin in case anyone gets bit.

If its any other variety of giant spider than the typical sort, gtfo. Phase and sword spiders are nothing to fuck with.

Goblins? You can usually rely on their own laziness to give you an opening, but they're sneaky and sadistic if cowardly. Approach with caution, be patient, and use shock and awe tactics when possible for maximum effect. I've also read goblin hunter, so I truly know what I am talking about.

Act as a source of meta knowledge on beasties. Get some gold, then publish some books and try to establish yourself somewhere as a legit business. Alternatively, learn magic and try to get to lv 15 or so where you are effectively immortal.

>>
>>52630201
If we look at how Strength and Constitution are actually translated into physical achievement within the rues, then no, I most certainly do not have a 9 in physical stats.

Assuming 3.5, you are able to lift your maximum load overhead. I am able to lift 145 pounds overhead, making my STR at least 15. It says you're able to pick up and walk around with 2x your max load, so long as you only waddled at about 5ft per round. I am able to lift up and waddle about with a bit over 400 pounds; that would make my STR 16.

In regards to CON, it says that "anyone with a CON of at least 9 can run for about a minute." I can run at full speed for a little over 8 minutes: I'll low ball myself and call it CON 12.

I won't lie and say that my INT or WIS are above an 8, but I'm a handsome fellow and have been playing two instruments at the RCM 10 level for about 6 years, I'll say that my CHA is 12.

At any rate, given my stats I imagine I can secure a position working in a local village as a woodcutter and member of the militia, after beseeching the church to take me in temporarily.

However, accumulated modern knowledge will certainly give me an advantage in many areas of life. Moreover, by dint of having such an exotic background in the world of Faerun compared to the rank and file citizen, I imagine that sooner or later adventure would find me.

16 STR and 12 CON can make for a minimally competent fighter, which is what I'd want to do anyways. I will wield my trusty wood-axe, and a simple shield of oaken planks, and whatever form of protective wear I can afford with my scant earnings combined with my ubiquitous sweater/hoodie/denim jacket combo.
>>
>>52630201

Ability scores would be something like:
STR 6, DEX 12, CON 8, INT 11, WIS 8, CHA 7

Classes:
Wizard or Sorcerer 1, after a lot of effort. Give up, go Rogue 1, also after a lot of effort.

Realistically I would really only learn to be proficient with crossbows. Skills would rely on stealth and mechanical manipulation rather than social roguery, and I'd also be proficient in an instrument because music isn't as freely available there as it is here and I would go mad without it.

I think the problem is that a 3d6 stat distribution is way too tall compared to the actual distribution of intelligence. In faerun, theoretically one out of every 216 random ass farmers has an 18 intelligence. (unless you are assigning them the standard array, with rolled stats just for PCs)
IMO a worldhopping real lifer probably could use the elite array, better diet, healthcare and education explaining high stats and general decadence explaining lower ones.

This includes storytelling, cooking, irrigation, writing (scribes make a shit ton in a medieval setting), first aid/disease treatment, and some farming. I'd try to weasel my way into a lords good favor, maybe even sign on with an army. I bet you I could make a killing if I use common medical knowledge plus some herb lore I know to treat easily preventable diseases. Shit like, "kill the rats, burn your clothes, quarantine the afflicted, wash your hands, don't pop that, keep your feet dry, eat some fruit, drink clean water" that kind of thing. Can you imagine the shock on people's faces when you teach them half the shit we know now? Well, most of my physics degree is useless, as the information is too abstract in many ways to use as anything other than a curiosity, this is mainly as I lack the manufacturing knowledge needed to put alot of it into practice. Differing names of elements/materials and purity is also an issue.

The maths I know however, that may well be useful. Mechanics for engineering, and statistical analysis for economic work.

So find an engineering guild or a bank I guess?

Unless I luck out and somehow find someone interested and capable of putting into practice my physics knowledge. As, for example, whilst I couldn't build a generator myself, I know enough to point someone with the relevant skills in the right direction.

Well, my stats have been verified as a STR 10+ and a significantly higher than average INT, with a recently lowered CON.
But I'll accept the stats as presented.

In addition to my other, less translatable skills, I am literally a skilled potter.
I would find the closest mage willing to help me, or failing that, teach me.
I would study magic while doubling the output of the nearest potter to pay my way.
I would live as best I could until I was able to find a way back home.

Am I the only one who wouldn't want to abandon everything here?
>>

I would be fucked. There's no other answer besides this. I wouldn't get good at anything fast enough to avoid a monstrosity in the wilderness, the raiding parties of evil-aligned humanoids, or even surviving in a medieval fucking environment on my own.
If I didn't die on the first week, I would end up becoming a NPC. That guy your party always meet in some market, full of nothing useful to say, trying to sell you a trinket that does nothing for too much coin, hoping I get a bag full of platinum coins just to shut the fuck up and leave; like it happened once in my gaming group, when the fighter player got annoyed by the annoying npc trying to sell him "colored feathers" and handed him one of the pouches of the treasure we had just looted from a cave, which was filled with 20 platinum coins.

Abuse metaknowledge to achieve a reroll. Fucking unworkable stats there, man. At least offer standard 10s across the board for
'normal at everything' status. Make a druid friend to reincarnate into something with good racial bonuses, make a deal with some diety that recognizes how I don;t belong in this world, do whatever needs to be done to fix that shit.

Step two would involve achieving lichdom, because all the gods in that setting are actually assholes who want to use your soul as fuel. Luckily, metaknowledge suggests that I would already understand the process necessary, and would only need to spend my time gathering the expensive resources.

From thereon, spend a few decades to get 20 levels in wizard through research. Do so with minimal risk necessary. No rituals that would attract murderhobos, no devilish contracts, no upsetting the aforementioned asshole pantheon.

Finally, use that arcane mastery to become something that's only a spooky skeleton on the inside. Spend the rest of forever finding interesting things to do and handing dangerous artifacts to plucky adventurers so thay can go do some funny bullshit.

Basically, I'd dedicate my life to becoming that jerkass mage that leaves magical swords around for anyone to find and start revolutions with.

Well, I have worked in Childcare for over 4 years, so here's a list of skills that I developed or put to use.
> I am able to develop a rapport with the children, their families and my co-workers fairly easily
> I have been described as calm and possessing the patience of a saint, especially with several children screaming in my ear. Gone slightly deaf because of this.
> In an environment where children can easily pass on contagious diseases to other children and adults, I have rarely become sick.
> Have intimate knowledge of how a child's mind learns and develops, and can convince children to become inquisitive and eager to learn
> Due to prerequisite first aid training, fire safety and general WHS training, I know how to do basic first aid and how to identify hazards and limit the spread of germs.
> As part of our training, we are required to identify concerning behavior and clues that affect a child or their families, such as abuse, neglect, domestic violence and so on.
> To be able to play with the children in an outdoor setting, you need to be physically fit, nimble and energetic.

Now for my hobbies
>Had participated in LARPs and SCA briefly, so I know the basics of swinging a sword.
> Got into cosplaying and, while new and inexperienced, seem to have a talent for it.

My downsides are;
> I'm not physically strong, compared to the average man I have spaghetti arms.
> I have a bad habit of overthinking things when in stressful situations.
> I have exzema in my hands, so if I don't moisturise it makes squeezing my hands hurt due to the raw skin and dry skin flakes.

Would I survive in the Faerun world?

But nonetheless, stats matter little:

>Live in Silverymoon, literal safest place in the setting
>Volunteer to work in the Knights in Silver or at the Silverwatch, keep expenses at a minimum and always show humility and desire to improve and learn
>Whenever I have enough money, enroll into the Lady's College, hopefully I can be good enough to get sponsored by Alustriel, but I'm not counting on that
>When at level 5, leave the Knights in Silver/Silverwatch to work at the Spellguard, therefore getting virtually free tuition at the college
>Spend years like this, living on the college and working at the guard, honing my mind and body to perfection
>When I have access to all the good stuff I need, do the usual meta tricks to cut a few corners
>Generally try to make everything better for everyone, not the evil overlord route
>Once a powerful, 20th level wizard, retire to my own demiplane

And there we go.

>>52665561

Wow really? Giving me shit stats like that huh?

I'd take the two decades of Lore Knowledge I have on Faerun and use it to my advantage. I'm not fa/tg/uy material. 6'7, 260ish lbs. I've got a good frame, no posture problems but my only flaw is that I wear glasses, which I suppose could be some sort of long term issue should they break...

I'd find out what Year we're in and go from there. Most of my fantasy library is Forgotten Realms and I own most of the series, which I re-read on a normal basis, since I sometimes use the book plots for D&D plots, somewhat modified, of course.

I would find one of the many famous people along the sword coast and recount to them my story. Tell them their entire biography from the novels, what will happen, what has happened to them, or the world, etc.

I would tell Lathander that he is Amaunator, and how and when he would awaken. I would tell the entire Drow Pantheon their fates, and how. I would recount personally to Mystra, the Red Mage, or to Azuth how and where they would die and how to prevent it.

I would attempt to gain power and favor of the gods. I would walk the streets with knowledge on how to perform rituals, or where items of legend are, but yes perhaps outside of my reach.

But I would befriend everyone worth some shit. Because I wouldn't be lying.

Your Move. Shitty DM.

I'm pretty close to a black belt in karate, which I'd guess counts as part training for monk or at least for improved unarmed strike. I have a degree in philosophy, in anthropology and a masters' in philosophy of religion (I basically wanted the closest thing to a qualification in theology without having to go to seminary), and I go swimming regularly.

And doesn't Faerun have sub-race/region-based "racial" variants? We should have some bonuses from being modern humans and maybe from each of our own nationalities.

Modern western basic-education'd humans should all probably start with their first level in Expert, and a decent college education should be good for one or two more.

"And let's make some stipulation about most /tg/ anons first to have some sensible limits."

>>
>>52670242
People underestimate the charisma of anons.
A good chunk of us spend all day learning the perfect way to manipulate a particular emotional response out of people (anger). Baiting and trolling is absolutely valid for charisma. The key feature of charisma is the ability, through words alone, to manipulate another's emotional state and their view of you.

I don't think anons have low charisma.

I think it's a limitation of the system. The stats all represent large, complicated collections of abilities under simplified headings. Constitution, for example, covers endurance and resistance to disease. Most modern humans are unfit, but in an age of large populations and air travel, we also develop strong immune systems. Which one decides what our Con should be?
>>
>>52670805
Look at lifespans and environmental factors.
Modern humans and faerun humans have the same given natural lifespans. We survive long from hygene practices, and they from proliferation of healing magic presumably.
A clean individual who uses modern hygene practices in a setting with a great amount of healing magic available may very well live longer, and be considered to have a greater constitution than the norm.
>>
>>52670255

What do I need for a GPA to get a 12? Because if 4.0 doesn't count for that we're all screwed.

Actually I'm screwed anyway. None of my family or friends are on the Sword Coast and they're a good 75% of the reason I haven't ended myself.

The other 25% is I just can't be bothered. Dying's a lot more effort than it seems, ya know?

>>
>>52671991
Honestly being on tg I'd say average intelligence is probably higher than 10. Even If only because we crunch numbers for fun. Though i dont think GPA is a measure of intelligence. Maybe you just studied a lot. Like studied so much you neglected your social, emotional, and physical health. Eventually even a 6 intellect autist will pick up on it
>>
>>52672035
Not my feet, but at the ground.

I wish. If I had that kind of discipline I wouldn't be here right now.
>>
>>52672114
Then why when you roll diplomacy is it opposed by their Charisma? Will saves are a measure of knowing what is real and what isnt. Which would be governed by how wise you are. Also those with very strong Charisma add their charisma to every save... so...
