I don't know about Paizo's mish-mash, but DnD has had several frog-races over the years. Grippli and Bullywugs, most notably.

I hate insects, but somehow that beetle looks kind of cute. He has silly big eyes and a cute helmet. Still, I'd probably piss my pants if I ever saw that IRL.
