One planeswalker in the span of two years even seeing any kind of play in modern I wouldn't consider "pushed" by any stretch of the imagination.

How the fuck does anyone think Planeswalkers are pushed? There are over 80 of them ever printed and only a handful even see competitive play anywhere. They include
1) Jace the Mind Sculptor
2) Liliana of the Veil
3) Dack Fayden
4) Liliana the Last Hope
5) Gideon AoZ
6) Elspeth Suns Champion
The last two are stretching it but they saw a lot of standard play so ill include them. So you have about 5-10 walkers out of the over 80 in print seeing any form of play in Modern or Legacy.

Not only that but there has only ever been ONE banned Planeswalker and thats Mind Sculptor. Maybe Gideon AoZ should have been banned in this Standard and that would raise it to two but even so thats a very very low number in comparison to other card types

You say that there are vastly more creatures, and so a lesser percentage will be used, but that's invalid logic.

There is no reason that Planeswalkers should be considered separate from creatures or instants and sorceries or lands. They should all be considered from the same pool. Thus, if 6% of all planeswalkers are viable, and only 3% of all creatures are viable, then any given creature is half as likely to be viable than any given planeswalker. Thus, planeswalkers are more viable per card than creatures. Which is the entire fucking point

You say then that there are shitloads of creature cards that aren't meant to be viable, and I say no shit Sherlock, that's the fucking point.
