Ah. A link.
A link that anybody could have.
Surely, there it is.
Clear proof that this is dirge.
It's like a signature, or a fingerprint. Obviously there's no way to spoof this or mislead anyone.

Guess I'm a believer NOW.
Now that there's a LINK.
A LINK THAT ANYBODY COULD HAVE.

Haven't bothered using either of those since Steam died and I haven't bothered reinstalling it, and I go on SB at my usual frequency of twice a week. On top of that, I'm not sure why I should care about some people's feelings when I don't know them to begin with.

>>52522547
I'm not planning to start making the Stormblood jump until probably two or three patches down the line. We've only just started getting information about Kugane, and while Red Mage / Samurai is nice, it's only a miniscule element of the patch contents. Joining the lore connections for the new dungeons (Sohm Al, Deep Dungeons, Baelsar's Wall, etc.) is pretty much an ongoing process for scenario segment 2, and then there's the additional mechanics that I was too lazy to add into Heavensward like Verminion, Feast and expanded Anima/Zodiac Weapons. In other words, it's not likely to come out anytime soon.

It'll come down to the same problem that FF XV has with its year long DLC release, and for impatient folks my answer is still the same, if you want to make your own jump go and make your own jump, I don't care.
>>
Does having the Fool Arcana in Anima just let you summon things at will or is there still a huge downside to not doing the long-ass rituals?

>OAA.

Kindly leave me the fuck out of your drama anon. I get enough in real life.

And just so this post isn't a waste of words.

The Devil In I (600 CP - Discounted Demon Hunter): To become a demon hunter fully is to take a deadly plunge - to summon and devour the very soul of a demon, and imprison it within your own spirit. Many potential hunters, even climbing through the ranks and initiations, fall here - unable to control the volatile energies born of the demonic. They die, yet another casualty in the war against the Legion.

And that is where you stand apart. You controlled and imprisoned the demon inside, and your willpower is now strong enough to KEEP it in there. And should you seek to use your body as a vessel for similar beings and volatile energies, your body and soul will keep them locked away without fear of destruction. I would keep your wits about you, however - the mind is not necessarily safe from this kind of exposure.

On a sidenote, found a neat metal band by the name of Demon Hunter. A bit generic in some songs but, pretty good listen all around.

The Beast That Hunts The Moon and Sun. We call him Sunny. He's a big friendly dog who has been getting increasingly big and also an instrument of the apocalypse. I have imported him to have far too many powers related to death and shadows. But he's still super friendly, and fairly fluffy underneath that coating of tangible darkness. Honestly, he'd probably win the contest out of volume alone, he has more fluff than an entire city of kitsune.
>>
>>52522905
With this, can you use their powers like you do in DH starting zone? Is there a limit on how many you can hold?
>>
>>52522933
If you want to see the crunch that would be a way to do it.
I think they're a tad bit farther than just starting out though.

>>52522973
They go back and forth on that, honestly. The amount of retcons has been tricky to keep track of.

>>52522980
Both answers get a massive shrug until I do crunch work and figure it out, but frankly given the amount of soul-expanders and the Nine Realms combo that was discussed a few threads back, not sure any limit would be even listened to or regarded with anything except scorn.
>>
>>52522977
he meant the 2.0 version of the WoW jump.
>>
>>52522905
That is a damn nice picture.

Also, the perk's good. Pretty circumstantial if you're not a Demon Hunter and taking this, but tied closely to the class. I'm guessing all the captones going to be that intimately tied to the class?

>>52522933
That pretty much works, yeah.

You might want to give them the Child Flaw from Scroll of Heroes too? But considering they're Celestial Exalts, it's probably not necessary.

>>52522981
Not sure, but starting characters can be Exalted for a year? The range for how long they've been exalted is between a day and a year IIRC.
>>
>>52523055
That's the design idea for each class' tree, yeah. They'll ALL be useful regardless of what class you purchase them as, but for some it'll take a bit of thinking.

Jump #7: Dwarf Fortress - Huh.

>G: What?

I've heard about this place, but I don't know much about it. I can't say how well we'll do.

Drawbacks: Beware the Thriller!, Who Let the Beasts Out?! (1800)

Location: Jungle (2)
Origin: Drop In
Gender: Female
Win Condition: Built To Last

-World Features-
A River Flows Through It (1750)
Good Aligned Terrain (1450)

-Perks-
Human Physiology (Free) - Alcohol is good, but I don't fancy being forced to drink it to survive.
Arena Mode (1150) - Hahahahaha! Excellent! I'm going to get so. Much. Training. Done!
Book Keeping (550) - To keep track of all the swords in the gate, and to help manage my future kingdom, whenever I get around to making it.
Brew Master (450) - Hey Gil, you had kegs of wine in the Gate, right?

>G: Made by the finest wineries in Babylon, yes.

Alright, then this will be progress to re-creating that.

Dwarven Combat Training (150) - Even with what I picked up last time, I could always be more skilled with weapons.
Craftsman [Weaponsmith] (50) - More weaponcrafting! At this point, I'm probably making good enough weapons to slice through armor like butter.

-Items-
Uncommon Metals X2 (20)
Tools (10)
Seeds (5)
Common Stone (0)

So, like I mentioned, I know absolutely nothing about this place besides that it's hyper-lethal for normal people. For someone who's got the ability to spam bullshit weapons, has bullshit armor, and is strong enough by them-self to smash down a castles walls? Well, that is a different matter.

>>52523267

Whenever I wasn't fending off attacks by Mega-Beasts and Titans, I was studying the Necromancers...necromancy. After I felt I'd learnt enough, I stormed his tower, knocked him out, and took him back to the fortress, where the dwarfs sealed him into an iron coffin. It was then tossed into a sea of magma my crazy dwarven bastards had created as an defense against the sit trying to break into the fort. I'd especially made the coffin to be cold enough to counteract the ambient heat. I left a note for him, explaining what would happen if he somehow managed to force the maiden open, ‘cause I’m nice like that.

After that, I spent the rest of my time building up the fort, and shoving the 'mancer back into the maiden when he broke out every dozen years or so.

Combination of both, in a way. Some are going to be discounted to multiple classes, some are going to be reliant on discounts earned elsewhere, and then there's going to be the Path of Darkness perk options which are going to have an assortment of discount options that will make you pay dearly.

One thing I'm worried about, honestly, is that the Order Leadership perk / bundle is going to cause a bit of One True Build - mostly as it's both a class powerset enhancer (making you at the top of your class rankings, as it were), and coming with a few benefits besides.

>professions getting perk trees

... You know, I hadn't thought about something like that. I just know my intent there right NOW is - after the initial Profession perk purchase, have a few other purchases available where you could snag knowledge related to it, but is present in-game and inaccessible to players.

Quick example so I know I'm not sounding crazy: Buying into the Engineering profession, and then getting access to being able to buy Naaru / Draenei technology.

>>52523425

>I'm not going to pretend to know what that is. But it sounds interesting enough to get me curious?

Basically "GET VILLAIN POWERS - THE PERKS." Things such as being able to infect the world with the Emerald Nightmare, becoming a greater augmented Legion commander (with an option of taking on the traits of a demonic race, such as Shivarra or Pitlord), or becoming Sha-Touched and being able to render growing portions of the world a white-and-black plane of amplified negativity while coaxing people's negative emotions out to create horrible goopy monsters.

Aaaand fuggit, have another perk.

Respect The Wilderness (200 CP - Discounted Druid): Druids find themselves working with wild animals on many an occasion, able to speak and reach common ground with them if it means ensuring balance is kept. This next benefit comes two-fold: First, you understand the language of beasts - body and speech - fluently, and can converse in your common tongue with them freely.

Secondly, you can more easily negotiate with such beasts, reaching accords with them that would be impossible for normal beings to do so. This also allows you to set up negotiations between animals and/or society - such as ensuring a pack of wolves will help protect a village, so long as the villagers help the pack by giving up a few sheep during times of famine. Consider yourself something of a natural middle-man.

Some people have a really easy time accumulating fat in certain places, and others don't. Especially since legs generally are the last thing to get fat.

Also, I'm about 60% sure that's either a shoop or someone who got their legs lipo'd and clogged the vacuum so hard they had to send him home before they were done.

They're like humans. They got men, and they got women.

But some crazed bastard, way back in the day, commissioned so much draenei-futa fanart that to this day, people remain convinced that is actually canon.

Although apparently their facial tentacles are quite sensitive to the touch.

I wrote an extremely trashy romance novel called Fifty Shades of Lilac in Fallen London, that recounts the relationship between myself and Cosmic Fire.

General consensus in Victorian London is that the thing is the anathema of public decency, and also the city's leading cause of spontaneous combustion from passion. Decent folks fainted at the very whisper of it, and less scrupulous sorts were found near-catatonic after trying to speedread a rare copy or two. The Prebysterate seemed unable to decide whether to declare me a heresy or not, and reputedly on the day of publishing every New Sequencer stopped moving for exactly four minutes.

Power of Dominance gives you the ability to absorb the soul of any nonhuman you kill. The downside is that especially powerful being might harm or kill you if your absorb their souls.

This perk would remove that chance, turning it into them into, at worst, voices to tempt or mislead you. Which honestly sounds more fun to work with from a writers view point.

Efficiency? Well, there's the Defragmentation Device from Blame! which improves technological efficiency as a whole. Then there's the nanite Karmatron Dynamics from GUNNM, which self-modify technology over time for better functioning. I think the Void energy from Warframe might help too? I forgot if it was a capstone booster or a property of the stuff, though there's definitely an item that can make things into more efficient relics. And in theory, it might be possible to do that with the Correspondence from Fallen London.

Journal Entry # 12756

At last we are free of the Island. I don’t know how exactly we came to wash up on the shores of an Island full of werewolves. However this has been a grueling few weeks. The battles have been rough, I have to give the werewolves this they were relentless.

Anyways strangely our good fortune came from someone else trying to hunt me. That bastard Doctor who did this to me came looking to collect me. I just can’t seem to shake him. However he brought boats and we were able to sneak past him on to one of his boats to escape. Akitsu created a huge wave to destroy the other boats as we left. With luck the werewolves will take care of him. However I have never been that lucky.

Journal Entry # 12760

Well Back at school. It’s good to be back. Sometimes a bit of normalcy (or whatever passes for it for me) is nice. Though there is something odd here. There is a new student who arrived during my absence. He is way to beautiful to be human. He is jumper levels of beauty. I think I have seen girls panties spontaneously combust when he looks their way.

He is quite, seems nice enough but definitely someone I have to keep an eye on him to make sure he isn’t praying on the humans in the school. Seems rather buddy buddy with the principle too. He might be ensorcelled.

Journal Entry # 12763

Well… there was an incident that shall never be spoken of again… Yeah ok Rai is fine… Everything is fine and cool and I didn’t make myself look like a fool… much. Well live and learn I guess.

Journal Entry # 12777

Well it turns out B 311 is alive. Bell as she goes by now. I was happy to see her. Since we escaped I had been concerned when we got separated. Sadly it seems Bell has had a rough time of things. She has gone mad I fear. She wants to kill wipe out humanity as punishment for those that didn’t escape. Well it’s more her power has made her se them as lesser beings and her pain is making her lash out.

She is still powerful as ever if not more. It hurt to see her like that. I tried to restore her sanity with magic. She thought I was attacking her. Sadly technically she isn’t insane. These are just beliefs she has adopted as a result of her experiences.

Journal Entry # 127798

Bell was sealed away today. She was too dangerous to let free. As she screamed and cursed at me each word was like a knife though my heart. I did the right thing didn’t I? I mean she had gathered an entire organization of people like us around her. She was actually might have ended the world as we knew it if I didn’t stop her. Still all I feel is regret.

I take special care to remember holidays and birthdays, even in worlds where those aren't normally a thing. Though sometimes that involves more calendar reminders than I care to admit. I prefer to keep the normal holidays from my home universe and haven't really added any to the list. But then, most of the worlds I've been to have either had normal holidays or close analogs.

Christmas during Ring of Red proved to be oddly touching though. A whole day of everyone laying down arms, two enemy armies remembering they were people, sharing a meal, and even playing games together. I remember General Lina exchanging her sidearm with the highest ranking German officer who was on the field. She eventually shot that same man in the leg and captured him as a POW. Some asshole Private who was with the group transporting the prisoners to the nearest holding facility shot the officer in the head on the road and dumped his body in the ditch.

I didn't know it was possible to break so many bones in a human body without them passing out from pain.
>>
>>52525409
Neither of them, but: Prisoner's Honey is honey produced by the lamplighter bee from the nectar of the Exile's Rose. These are implied to be related to the bees and flowers of Hell (devils in Fallen London are actually sapient bee hives that have gathered themselves up into papier-mache person suits. It's a weird setting). If you drink it, you find yourself physically transported into dreams. This makes it a valued commodity, since getting to actually go to a dream instead of just imagine it is pretty cool. It is somewhat dangerous, though, since the realm of dreams is close to Parabola, the world on the other side of mirrors where the snakelike Fingerkings live. You don't want to meet the Fingerkings. What they want is unclear, but it's not something that is good for humanity.

>>
>>52525593
Seriously, they're bees. Not joking. And the reason they want souls is because the things people think are human souls are actually the parasitic eggs of the Judgements, who are of course stars. Every human in Fallen London has a little embryonic star in them, germinating in the rich metaphysical soil of our personalities and life experiences. No one's sure what devils do with the things, but it explains why they'd want them outside of a theological context. We know what the Judgements do, though. They eat them. The stars are cannibals.

but for the general format, the classes in game seem like a good starting point for origins, and either psyker or commissar would fill the drop-in role
starting locations would be a vertical slice of different regiments and/or a section to create your own, which would tie to a capstone booster that gives hyper-competence in that regiment's specialty

Everybody rumored.
Nobody believed.
NOW YOU SEE IT'S still a work in progress.

Changelog:

>Drop In is dead. It's gone. But right here in this Jump—And in Devil Hunter—it still lives on!

>Scholar's getting revamped into two trees—One focuses on science, the other focuses on magic

>Demons now have access to Perfect Devil Trigger. REJOICE.

>I realized that Devil Child and Demon shared a lot perks. I untangled them, and now I got nothing for Devil Child. That's, uh, defs gonna change.

>God Hand Style removed. It was originally in 'cause DMC Jump was made before the God Hand Jump existed. Now it just feels redundant to have.

>Line formatting is completely borked

>Whoops, that thing with Buildings wasn't supposed to still be there

>Added Devil Arm Creator Plus along with a couple premade Devil Arms, with 1000 Red Orbs as budget. It's still a work in progress.

>Demons and Devil Children now get to purchase their Demonic Species/Ancestry with Red Orbs. Also a work in progress.

>Drawbacks: Added option to make DMC and Bayonetta take place in the same setting for realsies now.
>You can now go to the Bloody Palace
>You can now choose to be harassed by the Westboro Demon Church

>Scenario added. Just one for now, though, with more in the works.

More updates coming soon (TM)

Since someone else has already done honey, there are THREE things the Fingerkings definitely want:

1. They want to become real. Technically speaking under the laws of the Judgements they aren't allowed to be, but possessing a human or Clay Man seems to be a loophole for them to escape Parabola-at least into the Neath. The Zubmariner DLC implies a much larger-or less subtle-subspecies has also figured out how to escape into the bottom of the ocean. It's called the Neither, it looks like a giant eel when alive and when "dead"(?) it turns into a brief portal into Parabola. And because the Sunless Skies kickstarter succeeded, something called the Visitors which mstch normal Fingerking descriptions is going to be hijacking space trains soon. They're said to avoid mirrors though, probably because one of the ways to defeat a Fingerking is to use a perfectly crafted effigy of it and a special mirror-box to snare it when it tries to invade your dreams

2. They really, really like drinking your memories and future. It's not clear if there's a distinction, but at least one is willing to die for the latter as long as it can slake its' thirst.

3. They REALLY want to approach the Mountain of Light, probably for her immortality juice. They can't, though there's a dream of her in Parabola. She's half-Judgement after all.

HAPPENING TIME.
Also it's nice to see you're still alive. It's been a while.
>>
>>52524689
Well, during Adventure Time I compiled and published "The Complete History of Ooo", mostly because I had always wanted to know what had brought the world to the state it was currently in myself. Reception was interested, but not overly enthusiastic. It was a history book after all.

I also wrote a second book called "The Time Between" during those years. It was mainly a sketchbook filled with my drawings of the main cast, often during relaxing or fun moments. I had also scribbled short poems and stories in the empty space around the drawing. I considered the whole thing subpar and simply set it in my personal library, but Raven discovered it and published it without my permission. I would have been upset, but a number of people were really excited to see so much emotion and passion put to page. Marceline even transformed a number of the poems into songs, which was pretty hit and miss with the crowds.

My latest work is a compilation of songs from the Steven Universe, which I found pressing to collect after I realized just how many unique songs my presence in the world had spawned through the massive butterflying of events. A few of them were even my own creations, like "Together We Stand" which took the place of Pearl's "Do It For Him" due to myself training Connie instead of her.

Further literary aspirations have been put on hold thanks to a bout of Coordinator enforced amnesia, sea slug DNA heavily infesting my veins, and a lot of people wanting to murder me.

I'm honestly fine with just an update and build change if absolutely necessary.

Even ignoring the lack of size overall, Dante's only blocking the fist and barely shifts it at all when he pushes back, only moving it a few feet, despite this being peak power Dante. This is also Dante who has the special blocking style, which makes much more sense for him to have used that to block the attack then raw physical strength, given he can barely shift it later.

>Questions
1. Probably not unless you're throwing a decent amount of magic around in the kitchen. Regular cooking perks wouldn't offer anything like stat boosts just because.

2. Again, probably not. Even in settings like Terraria where food offers "stat" boosts, I have to imagine there's an ambient level of magic in the way they cook or the animals themselves to offer an effect like that. I don't think it's reasonable to expect cooking perks to suddenly make food magical without magic involved.

>Other Questions
Oddly enough, I have not yet run a restaurant. The need to keep my Coordinator entertained has kept me, for the most part, from pursuing such mundanity. Though I very much would like to open a bakery at some point. Except, I wouldn't open early in the day, I'd open very late. To get the freshest treats you would have to come in at midnight when I'm wide awake and baking like the night owl that I am.

I prefer visiting steak houses. I love sweets, but nothing compares to an excellently cooked steak. Always medium rare. No steak sauce, just eaten the way the house prepares it.

I'm not allowed to use magic in the kitchen anymore. My Jell-O creations got out of hand and there were... other issues with some of my dishes.

Her music was pretty universally enjoyed, but not ever song can be an absolute success, even if you're the only show in town. They tended to prefer fast, heavy rock songs and a number of my poems were better suited to slower pieces. Which is why they were unpopular.

And while I respect your opinion to not like her songs, you're quite wrong. They're not all great, but there are some really good ones in the mix.

At the end of the day it's not so much an issue of form as it is a matter of interest. There are dozens of jumps that have been offered for replacement. The fact that there haven't been any takers is a sign that the interest simply isn't there.

A lot of jumpmakers? They won't make a jump if they know they're the only person to take it. The thought of writing up a full jump to have no one care makes them not want to do it. When you already don't have a lot of jumpmakers to begin with, it just makes the likelihood of a replacement even less likely.

I dunno, why would anyone ignore the jumpmaker's own words and listen to thread instead when it comes to anything they say? You've seen it happen a lot of times, for all kinds of reasons. Why they do it, I don't really know. MY AUTISM IS THE STRONGEST IN THE WORLD
>>
>>52526640
It takes minimal effort to dissuade a person from making a jump for the most part. To begin with the incentive to make a jump is small, even smaller when they're told that somebody else may already have put effort into it, which means it becomes a competition to some degree. Competition in this sense is pointless, because the gain is minimal, people don't get paid, and if you back down, they do the work, and you can get the spoils without doing anything whatsoever.

Most people make jumps under the impression that if they don't do it, they won't see it happen anytime soon. Some people make jumps knowing full well that it's a popular IP, and that there's actually demand for it. When it's assured that somebody else will do it, and if it's for a popular IP where criticism and shitposting is practically guaranteed, it's much safer to just let somebody else do it rather than try yourself.

What I meant by "gameplay mechanics" is the usual standard fare stuff from DMC, like being able to jump off enemies, having unlimited ammo for guns, being able to defy gravity for mid-air combos, and a bunch of other small stuff I don't really remember. Now that you brought that up, I guess I'll have to edit that in the future, make it a bit more clear. As they are now, they totally carry over to other Jumps, and if I'd remembered to include the companion import option, your crew would have been able to get them, too.

I'm gonna have to dip out for now, so I won't be able to answer you guys' questions for a while. Sorry 'bout that,

Honestly Psyker fits more Drop-In, you're treated more like a dangerous weapon than a person. So it would be easy to be just recently assigned, no questions asked about your history, no one would really bat an eye about strange powers. Commissars on other hand do have a history that would be really odd for a new Commissar just to pop up. They're often assigned early enough to a company, unless they're a replacement.

Ratling & Bone 'eads could be just races to buy. Instead of being a Ratling Sniper, why not a Ratling Commissar? Or Ogryn Tech Priest?

So, this world...

This fucking world. I tried to help. I really did. I helped the Union beat the Imps at several points, only for the entirety of its armies (along with a couple villages) to be crushed by a couple falling giants me and Caim had killed. Our fight with Manah ended up destroying the Imperial Capital and killing thousands. During our travels after the war, we found the remnants of the Imperial fleet dumping the bodies of orphans overboard. As we got closer, I saw that not all of them were dead when they went overboard.

Long story of pain and suffering short, we managed to overthrow the empire. We took Manah on a trip around the world so she could learn a lesson, kicked Verdelet in the balls a couple times, and made the kid chief overseer of religious operations.

His duties mainly included smacking Verdelet over the head with a club whenever he got to crazy.

Near the end, I offered Caim the chance to come on my adventures with me. He was naturally eager to see what new ways there were to kill people in other worlds, and I made some of the best weapons he'd ever used, so he accepted.

...so basically what happened over the years as even the hint of me touching anything is enough to begin shitstaining? In all seriousness, there's a fair amount of jumps here that have been made not for a popularity contest, but just because they want to see it made or even because it's for themselves. At this point I'm in that mode right now because it doesn't matter what I do. Unless it's catering to absurd standards, it's going to get shat on. So why get caught up in the fact when it's better to just accept it and try to make it fun for the people who do like the jump. Trying to compete against other jumpmakers or catering to people who autistically screech if I don't give them a free blowjob is just retarded and it's not fun.

If someone wants to make something, and they want it, just do it.

Rationale with drop-in is that psykers not only have to be sanctioned before serving, they basically have to be babysat to make sure the men aren't sucked into the warp or something

This is certainly true, although I don't think I've really had anything 'dirty' in my jumps.

At the same time, though, you start to doubt if anyone is actually paying attention to your jumps, and if it would be better you just didn't make them. Perhaps someone with more recognition would make the jump more popular, or the jump is so obscure people aren't going to give a shit- or worse, want it off the drive for whatever reason.

Oh, neat. I actually watched the first two seasons of Symphogear after reading through your Jump when you first released it. And it already has a relevant place in my Chain. I deeply appreciate that you updated it with the option to Import stuff as Relics. I imported my Violet Lantern Ring from Green Lantern TAS, because Love and Compassion are important themes of my Jumper. I also adore The Strength in Weakness as a Perk. Aside from that, yeah, sorry, I've barely touched your other Jumps for the reason you mentioned. I've looked at From Dust, Auralnauts, and Infinite Warfare a bit, but I'm not sure what I want to do with them yet. I plan to incorporate every Jump in my Chain eventually, so I will be sure to post builds when I do get to them.

>Oh dear god. How do you do this to yourself Dirge? Are you well?
After reading a lot of Japanese short stories, I aimed to practice writing under constraints instead of just freestyling and experimenting with how to apply different mechanics. It's a hell of a lot easier to write in a concise manner in Chinese than it is in English, I can tell you that.

>>52527052
>At the same time, though, you start to doubt if anyone is actually paying attention to your jumps, and if it would be better you just didn't make them.
Personally I've never given this problem much consideration, but I make jumps for a fundamentally selfish reason (I want to practice writing). At the end of the day we're not being paid to advertise a setting or make it popular. I'd rather have something usable than something popular, and trying to get both whether in this environment or over in the SB community requires too much catering. It's not worth the problem.

If no one pays attention, then I'll take advantage of that and do what I want with things. There's no reason for a lack of attention to be a bad thing. But of course, you're talking to the person who has his own drive to store things, so I also don't have to consider your drive politics.

Perks: Wanderer's Luck, Salesman's Pitch, Currency Master, Kindreds of Keynes [Both], Aesthetic of the Gods
Items: Parcel of Land
Drawbacks: Well Known, The Peasant Way

I am a poor wayfaring stranger, traveling through this world of woe~

I am a wandering beggar priest saving up money to build a temple. Unfortunately, I can only use donations, so I must increase the wealth of those around me in hopes some kind soul seeks to donate to my cause. I travel, I give advice, but no one seems to really give back. I should probably preach about generosity instead, but that seems a bit tacky. Plenty of food is donated, so I'm not starving. Even if it is mostly going bad when handed to me.

I make friends with gods, even if I don't follow the gods. They deserve the Buddha's teachings as well. Maybe they can even be enlightened during their time and reincarnate as a human. Otherwise, Kindred of Keynes seems necessary for any serious country-building jumper. Your world needs a functional and healthy economy to keep the small territories we can carry with us from eating each other alive. At least until you reach post-scarcity.

What's so complicated?

1) Time is circular (Can't change past because if you did then you would never go back in time in the first place).
2) Time machine is actually a stasis field generator (freezing time inside while outside the field time continues as normal).
3) Key is to know how long to set stasis field field for (for the universe to go through heat death, collapses, experiences the next big bang, and reach point of history destination).
4) Traveller is actually in a new timeline which can be altered because the event he wishes to change hasn't occurred yet.

Question for Myrmidont-as I am wont to do with things I find neat, I'm thinking of adding a protoshinmaic vortex to the sliver of the Void within myself to see what happens, and then rub it up against my elemental pole of Void to make it more voidy.

The health effects seem a little ambiguous so I'd like to check to be on the safe side: If I did that, other than the assumed reflection of significant events would there be a chance of it attracting the souls of sinners, devouring nearby light sources or forming conduits to any shrines built to me? Just concerned it might be a choking hazard to a being made of eternal fire.

This queue is long and I might as well try to jot down some commentary as I go

Firstly, racial skills. Wouldn't it be logical for them to be free and restricted to the respective races? I'm not up to date on FF lore but I'm pretty sure cross breeds aren't a thing

With Guests In Mind-seems a bit overblown for something that boils down to "you make friends easily and you can summon 3 Yarhi. Think you can trim the first sentence in the third paragraph-and most of the 2nd since it seems a bit elaborate for a 100 CP option as is

Gambit Reversal-1st paragraph can be axed and replaced with a sentence like "this is an unusual gambit"

The Legend Grows-2nd paragraph can be replaced with a sentence like "also, the weapon grows stronger and larger with use"

Circus of Anita no-first two paragraphs could be truncated into one that briefly summarises Ivalice military doctrine and kinetic ammo limits. 2-3 sentences for fluff imo

Under promotion-1st sentence should only need to mention rooks quantity rather than reasons for it, and trim sentence starting with "to be frank"

Surveyor-first 2 sentences in 1st paragraph don't add much fluff, can be trimmed

Riskbreaker-trim 2nd/3rd sentences, just mention group efficiency

High guardian's domain-trim 1st and 3rd sentences of first paragraph, merge 2nd sentence into 2nd paragraph

The Trickster's Boons-first paragraph seems unnecessary

Shadowseer's Annals-trim first paragraph

Aaaaaaaand actually I think that's all that stands out. Bit concerned about some of the later companions like the Wayfarer, but they seem to Ben practically mini-scenarios unto themselves so it's probably all good

HELL YEAH.

>>
>>52529044
>A cunning plan, but the jedi can still use the Force to avoid those blasts.

My philosophy is, if they can use the Force to avoid those blasts, the blasts are not big enough, and you need to up your dakka game because you clearly don't have enough.

Like the time that the Rebels had Vader surrounded on foot but were only using hand blasters.

The proper thing to do is to call in an orbital strike and accept their loss as friendly fire, because otherwise they are all VERY DEFINITELY going to die. Actually as memory serves, they did.

>>52529075
Hmm, that does make sense. I'll give some thought to that. It would be cool.

I'm also going to add a drawback where you're in the process of redeeming a Dethroned. This of course means they're in your soul obviously. You can take them as a companion instead of them departing peacefully to the dreamlands as in canon. or you can make the Dethroned an existing companion and help work out any baggage they have with them. How's that for a drawback?
>>
>>52528999
Hrm I could race lock I suppose, I'm kind of half half on that. Cross breeding is apparently a thing, even though genetics don't work properly if Feolthanos' kids are any indication. It doesn't help that every species is extinct "relatively soon", so not a lot of it is elaborated on by the next time Ivalice shows up.

I'll save the trims and go through them one by one to see after I finish the last optional segment in the scenario. Should cut down a couple pages...I think, so thanks on that. I think most of the time I just instinctively end up falling into the habit of writing a "softener" to open with...that happens a lot with my own writing I've realized.

I'm not all too certain on the companions. Looking back on the original jump I hated the way it was done because the linking mechanism I used with them and items was really roughshod and it was pretty clear that some options had more focus than others. With this run around I ended up putting in even more interconnects between the companions, items, and the scenario, but then I feel to some extent it's not as skeletal as it was in the original.

It's still not really what I was hoping for as far as intricacy into those options go, but then I'd be putting too much focus into them, so I left it as is.
>>
>>52529149
The only thing I can think of would be to build it in Akame ga Kill's Teigu creation section. As transformation is an option that can apply to the weapon. Though making something overly large like Hero of a Thousand Faces can comes with a larger energy drain on usage.
>>
>>52529195
They definitely don't understand the concept of 'orbital strike' considering they were close enough for Vader to fling debris from his wreckage at them and kill them that way. You get in low orbit and you proceed to salvo fire, then you resupply and bomb the ashes.

>>52529244
Fair enough, for what it's worth I don't think those companions are poorly done per se. Format just surprised me, is all; stands to reason the superweapon has a more elaborate backstory than the vegetable kingdom. Only other concern is other folks might wanna fluff eit own meeting with their companions.
>>
>>52528715
Is that even fished? Last I checked it had a bunch of empty item slots and stuff
>>
>>52529410
>the superweapon has a more elaborate backstory than the vegetable kingdom.
...That's amusing considering the actual dimensional superweapon active at the time became a perk whereas the vegatable people were the companions. As far as folks fluffing their own meeting though I dunno that's up to them? I just looked at it the original and the engineer in me was slapping the writer for being a lazy fucktard and not equally spreading attention across details.

But then as I started doing it and experimenting with the companion items section suddenly I wanted to add in like 15 more companions, and I had to self check again to make sure I didn't make those additions and fuck up the scenario links.

Also a FML moment hit me when I made all of the trims you mentioned and ended up with a grand total of 0 pages reduced because I needed to properly space things out to make sure the formatting would still look mildly acceptable. At least some of it isn't as thick in the old man's words now. ...With any luck I'll conclude the scenario companions section in under 3 pages to end it around 197, 198.

>>
>>52529702
If he actually had a four year WIP he should be praised for the dedication. It takes a lot of work to actually stick to a single project for multiple years on end, and the longer you go, the more problems that tend to come up, not just with the writing aspect of it, but also with the balancing act between it and other priorities you should have in life. And you can get a lot done in four years as far as that goes too, it's only taken me realistically several months of cumulative time to hit the 900k word mark. Four years? Man, that's good time for at least a short novel.

Ahaha, that's good for a chuckle at least.

I always feel like these people justify my intense aversion to shilling. You always find them hiding in the woodworks, seemingly waiting for a chance to pounce.

Could Metroid Power Armor with the Legendary perk integrate the power source along with a piece of tech it "absorbs"? For example the suit probably can't support the energy requirements of a GBE but the gun itself definitely can.

What's the obsession with this weapon? It's not like it's innately superior to your run-of-the-mill disintegration spell.

Disintegration Spells generally don't go for kilometers, nor can you import them to upgrade them

More importantly, can it be integrated with one's outfit(s) from Kamen Rider?

But ZA WARUDO is also FTL. Because time is stopped. Light isn't moving, so ZA WARUDO is faster. At least, that's how I always saw it. If I remember right, Star Platinum was called FTL in Part 6, where it was capable of stopping time. I just assumed that meant that it was FTL because it could stop time.
>>
>>52530741
It leaves a 70 KM hole in physics defyingly durable materials. When set to low.
>>
>>52530790
On one hand, Silver Chariot cuts a beam of light right in half. On the other, that Star Platinum can catch bullets is apparently seen as really impressive.
>>
>>52530810
Pretty sure most people try to take that instance where Silver Chariot outraced the mirror stand that flies as a beam of light as FTL. Which might work if every other depiction of that Stand and others that interact with it didn't contradict it. So it's basically an outlier because no other stand comes close to that speed in the many instances where they would if they could and Silver Chariot doesn't win all of part 3 as it should if it was that fast.
>>
>>52530829
It's less that Star Platinum can catch bullets and more that it can catch them on reflex when they're shot at near point blank range without being manifested.
>>
>>52530829
See >>52530836

If SC is that fast, how can other Stands keep up with it in the slightest? SC is faster then other Stands but not by THAT much and there are many instances of Stands being too slow to interact with things that they should easily have been able to intercept or block. Basically what it comes down to is Araki doing what he thought was cool at the time and that SC cutting a beam of light is a massive outlier that was basically just rule of cool.

>>52530849
And it's still too slow to knock away a few dozen knives frozen in time and not moving at all in 2 or 3 seconds.
>>
>>52530700
Maybe? It can do E tanks for storage but those don't really do power generation.
If you consider the weapons in prime hunters it might be able to. They had seperate ammo counts and such and even say that they're powered by seperate power generators in some cases.
I really don't know if it could handle the load of a GBE though.

>I'm thinking of adding a protoshinmaic vortex to the sliver of the Void within myself to see what happens, and then rub it up against my elemental pole of Void to make it more voidy.

I'm not sure any of those by themselves would attract the souls of sinners, since the Void makes no differentiation on 'good' or 'evil'. Since the sliver of void can be held within a normal heart without side effects aside from being a font of spiritual energy (mana), I don't think you have to be concerned about it snuffing out lights, inadvertently creating tunnels to you via shrines, or choking your sun-ness.
Combining it with a protoshinmaic vortex should only enhance the energy it provides (or at least supplement it with Essence, depending on what you think Essence actually is and how it is different to mana, which the Void provides).
If I might remark, however, you might be better served using and Elemental Pole of Potential instead of Void, however. Despite it being called 'Void' it's not actually 'empty', as it is remarked that more things exist within it than are dreamed of in natural philosophy, so it's probably got more in common with the protoshinmaic vortex than an Elemental Pole of Void (as in, 'void'; the concept of space where nothing exists).

Therefore, fanwank appropriately.

I think I read somewhere that it just stretches out a single millisecond for itself and it's user, meaning they're just really fast.

>>52528761

>>52530869
Also some questions of my own, for different jumps of yours:

What is the range of the post-jump perk version Parasyte Sense?

For GPA, can you choose the cause of "8. Exotic/Other"

For Dishonored 2, can the crossbow instead be a bow? Can the senses f Endless Black Wolfhound be extended further?
>>
Do jumps on the same setting by different makers count as different jumps?

since dxd has one by strike and another by heavens
>>
>>52530975
Uh, not in anything canon? Maybe in the Jorge Joestar novels or games, but otherwise no. Maybe you're conflating it with another setting's time-stop, because several different types of "time-stops" work like that elsewhere.
>>
>>52530990
The old DxD jump should probably be taken down.
It's outdated twice over given that there was an imageless update for it even before Heavens made a replacement.
>>
>>52528964
Um, just a note, the free Jumper Helmet you get in the jump doesn't scramble your brain, and if you take the Drawback the helmet can always kill you because Drawbacks trump Perks?
>>
>>52531030
The helmet does still kill you if you don't have the means to normally survive it.
That drawback just means that even if you would normally survive getting microwaved you won't.
>>
>>52531046
No, the Digital Projection Helmet you get as a freebie Item doesn't have Kayaba's sabotage in it, because he didn't make it.

Unless your Benefactor's a dick, I guess.
>>
>>52531005
It was something someone posted here, and it did look kind of sketchy.
It also discussed how some other Stand (can't remember which) removes sections of the timeline between it's activations. As in, you active it at nine o'clock, do some stuff, and activate it again at 9:15, and everything that happened between the activations would cease to exist. It'd be like those minutes never happened, but any results that carried on were maintained (moving, etc.)

It was a pretty baller power, and the whole thing was just comparing The World to that Stand, in how both make it look like things are teleporting around, but work in fundamentally different ways.

…I'm rambling, and I apologize.

The other Stand was King Crimson, though it can only remove 10 seconds at a time. IIRC, it was just saying that the World, in effect, sped up its user. Because for most purposes, that's what time-stop seems to do. Was it this image?

Anyway, I think it's just referring to how the World /seems/ to work, as there isn't really much difference to anyone who can't move at ridiculous speeds. If it was "just" speeding up the user, then the knives Dio throws should keep going on their path instead of suddenly stopping in mid-air.

No, this is part of the Accomplice Origin.

>As a special exception, should you die in your capacity as the 99th floor boss, you will simply be politely logged out early.

It implies that, should you be any other origin, the helmet will attempt to kill you. And there's nothing to suggest it wouldn't, anyway. This just cements it.
>>
>>52531268
Originally that was the case. But through the force of a massive bitchfit of a few anons who couldn't bear the idea of any risk, the jumpchain helmet version was added as a free item instead.

Although if >>52531116 is right, non-Dropins still have to get out alive at least once to put on the safe helmet... and I'm not actually sure where dropins actually are, physically. Warehouse?
