I'm still trying to wrap my head around what the fuck One-with-Ein is supposed to be and it now throws a wrench into how I viewed all the 'sights' interacting.

At face value, it's supposed to be a non-visual Adokori. Now, my fog metaphor/explanation needs some update. So, If you're in a magical fog that obscures *everything* around you, including all your senses:

Prophets will be able to 'see' whatever it is they look at and nothing else, as if they had a flashlight capable of piercing the fog.

Adokori will get glimpses of what's in the fog, these could be important or not, and where to step and not step.

One-with-Ein is capable of feeling what's in the fog. They'll know if they're standing on grass, sand, stone, etc. They'll be able to smell what's around them, hear the ambient noise and generally feel out their environment whereas none of the other ones can.

Meta-thinkers will see it as if people were watching a show/reading a book/seeing a movie about them. They'll hear the music that's playing for particular scenes, know what the camera is focusing on, hear the commentary from the audience, etc. They'll know if the fog is supposed to be creepy, dangerous, whimsical, whatever based on how it's presented to the audience.

So this is how I'd try to explain the way all these guys view the world and multiverse. Obviously, it's a lot more complicated and mind-trippy and the information wouldn't be so clear-cut.

What's a good name for a comfy informal guild in a really powerful and wealthy fantasy academy? Idea is that the guilds are student-organised rather than official, the first two are your typical 'martial focus', 'magic focus', and the third was set up by people who wanted the social aspect of a guild but without any commitment or interest in anything too much like work.

Martial guild call themselves Knights of Dawn, mages the Seekers of Truth. I'm thinking comfy guild go by the House of Repose, but very tentatively.

My ships and loyal crew have managed to solve all of the major problems in the immediate vicinity. I even re-united the legendary Four Horsemen and joined their ranks.

In a CYOA with a wide scope, definitely more fluid, since it allows for a wider range of character builds with less words.

If the CYOA is very limited in scope, maybe just a character builder, particular spells work nicely.

I happen to be a winged naga. A very unusual creature born from an ill-fated love between the Goddess Ariella and a great serpent. I fly through the clouds searching for my place in the world and trying to do good things for people. I'm usually very peaceful, but can fight if I have too. Even though I seem immortal, I actually have a weak spot my belly-button.

I travel to the plant and drive away the bugs with rain and lightning. Then I study it to try and unlock it's secrets. I use my knowledge of potions and what I learn from the plant to make a potion from one of the leaves that gives me Healer magic. I take the seeds to some monks who I think will bring the plants back and not abuse them.

To cure the whales, I need a artifact from the Kyphians. When I arrive at the old Kyphian mines, I here about the missing pioneers. I search for them as I look for the artifact to cure the whales.

The Goddess Lenya notices my beauty and sees me trying to use my gifts for good. She tries very hard to convince me to live with her in her realm of flowers and cloud castles. But because of my wandering ways, I can't settle down for good. Not even with a Goddess. We part ways amicably and she teaches me more about healing magic before I go. This is where I get the Medicus ability.
>The Fire Witch
I follow the Witch from high above in the clouds. I discover her coven having a meeting that seems pretty sketchy. The next time she's alone I ambush her and wrap her up in my coils so I can question her about what's going on. I report the questionable coven to local paladin order, but conveniently forget to mention the Fire Witch and help get her back to her old job with Prince Kasper. She teaches me fire magic as thanks, since she didn't get along with the dark witches anyway. That's how I learn Fire Mage magic.

I fly up to the Elemental and explain to him that he's causing problems for other people by staying here, and that there's other Elementals for him to talk to in other parts of the universe. I help get him to trust me by doing some tricks with the fire magic I already know. After convincing him to move on, he teaches me more fire magic to thank me for telling him where the other elementals are. That's how I advance to Lord of the Inferno.

To convince the Fire Elemental to move on, I have to learn about the plane where the great elementals live. Turns out there's a King who's looking for a book about ruling. It's lost a great ancient library. I figure I can find something about elementals while searching for his book. This helps with the other quest.

This is what I get for trying to avoid the nightmares. I take a wrong turn on my way to the kitchen, and the nightmares find me. Stupid sexy nightmares...
Asha says that I'm the spawn of the Key and Gate. In retrospect, that explains the shitty sleep. Well, at least daddy gave me presents before putting me into some sort of character building exercise.

So, after that revelation, the door that used to lead to my living room instead opened to some sort of fantastic mine, filled with monsters and traps. It was not a fun place to be, but I found a bunch of sweet loot, and some sick duds. After we broke out of there, we ran straight into an army of crazy dog headed monsters. You know what's weird is that they all had this iggly wiggly things poking their heads, and this one big one had a really big wiggly, so I figured he was the leader. So, yeah. The dogs weren't all that crazy without him barking at us. Oh, and I saved a princess. Asha made a really scarry face when the princess kissed my cheek in thanks.

Well, I guess this is just the begining. The door I took to get here is gone, and I don't have a clue as to where I am.

I really liked Destiny and love the reveal that D2 will be PC so I can actually play with people I know and I've considered it before, but I've realized that I don't really work well with established settings.

The reason is that there isn't much creative room for me--all the spells and such are already there in game, so it'd just be me regurgitating all that's in game. What'd be the point of that when you can just go play the game?

I could certainly come up with a whole quest or "goal" system on my own within the universe of Destiny (kill that Vex bullshittery that's happening, eliminate that Cabal officer, etc). I could also come up with a weapon crafting system (picking the scope type for your scout rifle and whatnot), but I'd feel better about myself by just coming up with all of it myself in its own setting.

Well, now that I've thought about it, it's entirely feasible. Maybe for my next year's project; right now I've got more on my plate than I'd like.

Learn the hotkeys.

H = hand tool and is one of my favourite and most used tools. It's for dragging your screen across your project, very handy if you're zoomed in.
Z = zoom tool, used in tandem a lot with the above.
V = move tool, to move the position of the current layer.

Basically, learn all the tools you think you're going to use a lot.

CTRL + Shift + N = new layer
CTRL + Alt + Z = step backward (undo but you can go back farther)
CTRL + Shift + Z = step forward (kinda like redo, ala above)
CTRL + S = save file; very important, ingrain this into your mind

Lore, my man. I loved discovering and reading the lore on each of the alien races and their places, why Rasputin is /our guy/, the lore of each characters, the weapons. I just love sci fi stuff and I found Destiny to be very unique.

Most of the issues at launch was just the lack of content. The core gameplay was solid (minus the fact you had to use a gamepad for an FPS), but the raids were really fun. I won't lie, I wasn't really impressed for most of the game until I got to the Vault of Glass, but going through that was really what made the experience for me. There were no guides or anything when I first ran it so it was all trial-and-error for me and my team, it took us hours to figure shit out only to end up never being able to beat the last phase for Atheon.

Still, it was a blast. Seeing traditional raid mechanics with AAA-grade FPS core gameplay was cool.

You mean opacity? You can adjust that here. Each layer has its own opacity value, including groups.

"Fill" applies to the image of the layer, not the effects you've put on the layer (like a stroke or drop shadow). Basically, if you have a white square with a drop shadow around it, setting Fill to 0% hides the white square but the drop shadow remains.

Just open gimp and cut/paste the text into notepad (for easy spellchecking online) or directly into photoshop. You can make text boxes by clicking and dragging the text tool instead of click+release. That's easier for resizing text.

There are multiple ways of doing what you ask. For general stuff you'd probably want a layer mask as that's non destructive editing.

You can make selections with the various selection tools like, magic wand, which selects by color tolerance. The quick selection tool is similar to the magic wand with a bit more control. The lasso tool which is ok and the polygon lasso tool that is a little slower then lasso tool but more precise. You can also use the pen tool, which takes some practice but can then be turned into a selection and is vector-iite in photoshop.

Once you have a selection you can then add/remove it to the layer mask, making anything that's black transparent and anything that's white visible. Greys will give various levels of transparency on the mask. Learn about masks and you will love them.

Now exporting something with a transparency is a bit more tricky. You can turn off a background so it's clear and then select png which is good for most stuff.

If you need an alpha channel you can make one in the channels tab by adding a new layer. It will come out pure black and anything with any white in it, as it's a black/white layer will become the new mask. I can't remember how png deals with alpha channels but in the game industry you'd use a tga with the alpha channel for transparent textures.

Not that I know of, however you CAN make an Action. which is recorded movements/commands. Check out a video or webpage tutorial to show you the best way to record your actions. Then all you'll need to do is hit what layer you want the action and and activate the action. It then applies all the stuff to that layer extremely fast.
