Yoko Taro's got some good stuff, but it's buried under some weird stuff. You usually have to play his games like 5 times to really beat them, as even getting an 'ending' doesn't take you even halfway through the story.

Actually the reveal of Kaine being intersex made a lot of her backstory make more sense, but I still dislike her character, because she was such an insufferably bitch with nowhere near enough moments of caracter development to make it worth it.

Zero is a lot more subdued in the jap VA. She says pretty much the same things but is a very different character compared to English Zero.

I felt it was worth it, but I can understand feeling that way if I played the English version
