Do you know it to be by a specific author? If so, and that author has their own dropbox/drive, check that.
If not, just start from the frist dropbox/drive listed in the pastebin. If you can't find it there, check the next one. Keep going until you either find the CYOA or run out of dropboxes/drives to go through.

If you remember something as specific as a filename that the CYOA has been posted under, however, you might get quicker results by searching one of the 4chan archives that include /tg/ (4plebs, for example).

I think there is a missile massacre build that works for it. Where you buy like 10-15 Brawler drones each with a missile launcher and two missile pods, but that takes up like half of your hanger space, so you don't have the best actual mining capability. But if you are launching that many missiles you are likely weak to cruisers that have a lot of point defense and missiles have got to be among the most expensive of your weapon options for cost to fire heavily cutting into your profits if you ever get into a fight.

Only the Stars relevant to their position (e.g. your Driver adds her Speed Stars, your Gunner adds her Cannon Stars, etc).
On top of that, they all contribute their Personal Stars no matter what position they're in.

Disregard war, acquire waifus because fuck this shit, I ain't dying. Ricky may or may not be annoying, but she seems cute. Eirika's ability is pointless since I don't plan on fighting, but having a few more waifus isn't all bad if it does happen. Penny is a qt3.14 and can drive us to where we need to be, while Lulu is another qt who is in charge of maintenance and can help me scavenge good materials.

We fight to protect our homeland from the filthy foreign invaders, using a combination of the raw destructive and defensive potential of our Superheavy Tank, but also my strategic brilliance to psych out enemy commanders. While my mainstay is a 'shock & awe' strategy from my Superheavy sending enemies running by its presence, or striking a strategic blow that they are forced into rout, my tank is more than capable of holding its own in terms of combat. It's high Tactics ensures it is always in contact with High Command, the Grenade Laucher is to help clear out pesky infantry, the Ablative aids it in tanking even more hits, while the G.E.S. gives it greater mobility despite its hampered speed.

Eleonore is the best Operator, keeping our communications and secondary support systems up-and-running. Genevieve, while technically our Gunner, also functions as a Medic and has been instructed to teach Eleonore how to use the cannons properly in case of a mid-combat medical emergency. Heather's ability to jury-rig will allow us to stay in the field even longer, and she isn't a half-bad Driver either, though our tank was never destined to be in NASCAR. Agnes rounds us out with a strong mechanic who gives huge boosts to armour, both by default and with her skill.

I dunno, I'm just looking at it as an outside observer, I've never actually made a CYOA. But looking at it strictly from a dimension-standpoint:

/tg/ has a 10,000x10,000 image limit. You could quite literally more than double the amount of options per page if you just stretched it vertically to that limit, thus cutting down what was effectively a 7 page CYOA (with a blurb rules page) to 4. However, if you plan on posting this on, say, /d/ for whatever reason though I have no idea why you would ever post such a CYOA on that board, you probably don't want to change the dimensions because they have more strict image limits.

Aesthetically, it's never really great to make readers scroll horizontally because most people are either phoneposters or don't have sideways scroll wheels, so you could reduce the width if you're alright with making the images smaller to accommodate. It's just a little annoying, though. Not a necessary change. Also aesthetically it just looks bland. You can't go wrong with black text on a white background as far as readability goes, but it isn't visually appealing I would say. I know you said it's your first time, but you could try and spruce it up with maybe a background image instead of it just being white so long as you give the text a good contrasting outline to ensure it can be read regardless. If you're not going to do that, try and make it a different color. I've worked with GIMP a little, and it's very finicky when it comes to reversing mistakes or making changes in general unless you know how to do the exact opposite of what you did earlier, so I would recommend waiting until you either complete and publish what you have now or you have everything ready to be compiled and you're willing to torment whatever amount of people are looking forward to this by delaying the release and taking my suggestions into account.

I also recommend you stop namefagging. But alas, aesthetics are subjective and not objective.

The gradient is fine, not optimal but whatever. I understand you want to use official resources but the crops on some of these aren't very good (like Alice). I'd try and clean those edges up with the magic wand tool.

If you reduce the amount of rows to three and bump the vertical resolution to 10k that's still a 50% increase in the amount of choices per page. Not as good as double, but still better.

If you manage to find a proper background to use, I would recommend it, as it negates any issues with legibility and with a nice bit of transparency applied to the box it can look pretty nice overall with minimal effort involved. If you stick with a gradient it's not a huge deal, but there's no reason not to I suppose. It's just better visually unless you can make it appealing to look at the text directly over the background.

I imagine a guy who simply transfers as regular grunt for simple security jobs or moves on his own to scavenge and explore all kinds of places. Not really a dustkeeper, just a part-timer sometimes dealing with them.

Again, jobs someone trained to be a fighter in small mercenary squads not meant for full-scale warfare would get experience and training in. Wilderness survival would probably be more beneficial than raids, but I don't imagine the guy actually particularly training that. This would make my alter-ego well-rounded even if hardly outstanding hireling, at a very respectable price since I'd have completely self-funded equipment.

Who else hates companions? Not inherently, but it is just that when you make your character, especially in a power trip cyoa, then all the companions you pick make your choices seem less significant in comparison. If it is just a cyoa where it is only companions or they are at least the main focus the they are fine though.

I never wanted kids. Hell, I don’t even like kids. I’m damn sure not a good role model. But these two little waifs came rolling up to me like I owed ‘em something, and the feisty one, Biscuit, she managed to convince me to let them tag along. “Just for a few days,” she said. Near a year ago now, she said that. Once I had those two, little Molly wasn’t far behind. When Biscuit and Tin showed up with another girl in tow, because she said I’d need a pilot and would I please take her in and she comes with a government stipend and, and, and… So now there’s me, with three little orphan girls following me around like ducklings.

Few months later I meet Enrico and Jess. Well, I watch Jess lay Enrico out on the floor of some crappy bar because he got a little handsy with his flirting. Served him right, honestly. Jessica gets distracted by the small flock of waifs I’ve somehow gathered, so I strike up a chat with Enrico. Turns out the guy’s got connections. He’s a fancy lawyer type. I hate lawyers even more than I hate children, but he talks me into letting him bum a ride on my ship, when I finally get it. He promises he’ll install some upgrades, and make sure things are smoothed over no matter where we go. I wasn’t looking forward to explaining to anyone what I was doing on a ship with three small girls, so I let him join up. Jessica wasn’t thrilled with that, and announced she’d be joining, too, loudly proclaiming something about “Knocking his fuckin’ block off, he even looks funny at those sweet fuckin’ girls, a’ight?” Whatever. She’s the first capable fighter I’ve had offer to join, so I’m not gonna turn her down.

Weirdest thing happened just before I left the station. Normally, they put refugees together by race, so I’m mostly seeing humans, right? So I’m getting things loaded onto my new ship, spending most of my “inheritance” to do it, when I notice a mantis-type alien dame hanging around, looking like she’s trying not to be noticed, keeping her little nook cleaner than the damn medical ward on this station. We strike up a chat, and it turns out she’s bloody terrified of other insectoids, and keeps trying to stay in the human section of the station, away from the other bugs the gov’ tries to keep her with. Took a bit of convincing before she’d even consider the offer, but now I’ve got a handy dandy scout and janitor. I don’t know how she gets things so clean, so fast, but hey, I’m not gonna ask.

The day before I’m set to leave, filling out paperwork in the gov’ offices, I see a titan, a fucking genuine titan, in the holding cells. Ask what her deal is, gov’ tells me she slugged a gov’ employee over delays. Normally not something they’d arrest you for, mind, what with the refugee crisis pissing everyone off, but when a 15-foot bounty hunter punches someone, it tends to be fucking serious. Turns out, I had just enough cash left to pay her fine, and the dame announces she’ll be following me as a crew member, because she doesn’t accept charity. I wasn’t about to argue with her.

The gov’ offered me my pick of worlds to settle on, but I said nah, fuck that. I’ve got a hunting license that’s good across the galaxy, a ship big enough to live comfortably on, and the resources to make a living hunting. Yolanda, that titan dame, she’s gotta a bounty hunter’s license, too, so we can capture pretty much anything, anywhere, and get a decent chunk of change for it. Enrico, sleazy as he is, is reliable enough to watch the kids for a few days when Jess, Yolanda, Yvette (the mantis), and I take the Ironbill down to a planet for a hunt. Partially because I don’t think he’s into them that young, and partially because he knows Jess would kill him, and Yolanda would help.

It’s a nice life. I used Molly’s stipend to learn more about alien psychology and physiology, and she insists I let her read the textbooks and study my notes. Kid’s a quick study. She’s teaching Biscuit and Tin how to fly; I think those two want to pilot the Sparrows I picked up. At this rate, it won’t be long before I run out of reasons to stop them. The freighter feels more like home every day we live on it; Enrico likes that we don’t hit the same planet for years at a time, and I think Yolanda likes the fact that we’re always on the hunt.

I dunno how long it’ll last, but for now, things seem all right.

I always think of companions as a means to shore up your own weakness, it may seen weird, but I almost consider companions as a extension of my own will, its not like those guys will abandon you to die unless you are a huge asshole, so its nice to have them around, they can also serve as mentors, even if your power is far greater, they still have much more experience than you with living and fighting in that world, its not a bad deal to learn a thing or two for free and avoid making stupid mistakes.

Worm I think its the only cyoa where I feel weird picking companions, its not that they are badly written, but your power level is mostly always so high, you have either to always massively hold back your power and never have fun 99% of the time, or you will win everything by yourself and piss off your companions because they never get a chance to shine.
