Lets talk about Ysgramor, and the possible meanings of him being a "Dragon".
>>
>>52466039
Dragonborn are dragons.
>>
We know that if person of non argonian race drink HIST juice then this person will become 'argonian' in terms of being connected to Hist , but is it possible for them to transform into Lizardfolk too?

Wasn't there some gang that sold Hist sap as a drug in Oblivion? I remember it having effects like skooma on non-Argonians.
>>
>>52466658
It was rotten sap or something, it had the same effect on Argonians as well.

Couple questions

How does Necromancy in the elder Scrolls work?

How does interbreeding between the races work? If the mother is elf and the father is a man will the child still be elf?
>>
>>52473038
So self respecting dunmer would mate with the beast races and outlanders.
>>
>>52473038
Necromancy works by tricking corpses into sleepwalking on the Dreamsleave.

Unfortunately, they forgot about this past Skyrim, because now Ghosts talk to people in the present tense instead of passively, mistakingly or otherwise.

Ghosts that do talk to you are probably in utter agony for a number of reasons, but basically, on a cosmic scale, Necromancy is the very art of Doing it EVIL WRONG.
>>
Just what the fuck did Ancano think he was doing?
>>
>>52473237
What about Dunmer ancestral necromancy then?

I saw someone reference Morrowind recently as an example of 'ancient aliens' stories in a really matter-of-fact way and it's been driving me up the fucking wall.

I spent months lore-diving. Trawled the Imperial Library, obsessed over coincidences in music, discovered theories as bizarre as Talos the TAL Operating System, yet this shit's news to me. Was Anon simply mistaken or have I managed to miss the forest for the trees here?
>>
Nords are objectively the best race in Skyrim. Why? Because frost magic is encountered the most frequently, interferes with 2 of the 3 main playstyles by draining stamina, makes you slower, and is used by the toughest enemies.
>>
>>52466106
>but is it possible for them to transform into Lizardfolk too?
Defeats the point IMO. Argonians are reptilian due to circumstance, not necessity. It'd be like if people turned brown upon converting to Islam (exploit away, I'm 2tired).
>>
>>52473237
>because now Ghosts talk to people in the present tense instead of passively, mistakingly or otherwise.

Not true, ghosts in Morrowind that were not ancestor spirits did exist, and talked in the present tense.

>>52474693
Morrowind doesn't really much to do with Ancient Aliens, but TES setting on large can be easily interpreted asan Ancient Aliens setting. See Akatosh's spaceship, Mundus being a sort of reality making computer (this is why it's TalOS), Clockwork City (which supposedly is older than Sotha Sil and has something to do with Mundus being a machine) in Morrowind full of electronic circuits and cybernetics, Pelinal (literally an ancient alien) etc.

Negro please. Bretons only matter because late game you can get to the magic resist cap with fewer items, but late game everyone is equally OP anyway, EARLY game is the only time racial abilities matter, and your magic resistance can eat a dick compared to 50% frost. What uses frost? ALL draugr, half of falmer magic, 1/3rd of bandits and wizards, and frost breath dragons have more HP than their fire counterparts. Frost also fucks with stamina for power attacks and slow time archery. Altmer are only good if you're playing a mage, and what kind of faggot does that?

Race goes from mothers side. Child of Elf mother and Human father would be like an elf.
>>
>>52481895
You should give a shit actually.
Dunmer vampires dont get penalty for fire, for example.
>>
>>52481976
Sometimes the offspring will be of mixed race though, especially if interbreeding continues for a long time such as in case of Bretons. Some of in-game books also make references to that kind of thing and there's also Helseth who possibly inherited human like ears from his non-elven father although it's also said that he had surgery to change them.
>>
>>52479258
>tfw not ADD enough to not enjoy pre-morrowind games
>>
>>52482324
Yes, I meant this on short term relations.
I wonder if Humans and Elves will interbreed on such massive levels, that they will finally become one Ehlnofey race again?...
>>
>>52482324
As I understand it Bretons aren't real half-breeds so to speak, they're still humans just with a bunch of elf traits
Races aren't purely biological in TES as far I know anyway, babies always inherit the mother's race, but with some traits from the father still retaining, think like the kid of a bosmer dad and I dunno a nord mother would still be a nord for all intends and purposes, but possibly slightly smaller than other nords, or slightly tanner or something like that
So bretons are more like the product of generations of nedic women giving birth to Altmer babies, they're still humans but with each successive generation have retained enough traits of the elves that they're clearly distinct from other humans

Maybe I'm just plain wrong though, whatever
>>
>>52482324
Helseth's father was Symmachus, a Dunmer.

The Ruddy Man was a monster who battled Vivec twice according to the teachings of the Tribunal Temple. He is a carapace who gives power to those who wear him, although he is sometimes considered a dreugh, or an aspect of Molag Bal worshipped by the dreughs.

According to the Temple, the Ruddy Man was created when a Velothi child from Gnisis found a dead carapace, supposedly Molag Bal's old image from a previous kalpa where he ruled Mundus as chief of the dreugh-kings. Wanting to scare his village, the child wore the carapace, and the Ruddy Man was formed. Vivec did battle with the monster at the Koal Cave site near Gnisis, creating the West Gash region of Vvardenfell; it is said that the sounds of battle still echo in the region. Vivec was victorious, and brought the carapace to the Queen of Dreughs to guard it from the surface world. Instead, the treacherous dreughs gave it to a wayward shaman from the House of Troubles, and the Ruddy Man appeared ten years later outside Tear. After defeating him again, Vivec gave the monster's carapace to the devout and loyal mystics of the Number Room, who made "a philosopher's armor" out of it, sealing one of their own sages inside for eternal study.

The Shrine of Valor was set up in the Koal Cave by the Temple and served as part of the Pilgrimage of the Seven Graces. Pilgrims were told that the Ruddy Man was the father of all dreughs, and that Vivec spared his life if he agreed to give up their tough hides as armor for the Dunmer.

I've come to find the whole inheriting the mother's race thing to be strange and not very well thought out.
I mean think about the political climate of Septim Era Tamriel. The entire continent is under one monarch and split amongst nine large provinces each themselves ruled by a king. Now the most obvious course of action would be for each of these noble families to marry their daughters off to other nobles outside of their rulership to gain powerful allies (think Morgiah marrying the King of Firsthold or even Barenziah marrying Helseth). But having all your sons married to foreign daughters would then result with all of your children's heirs being a distinctly different race from your own. By that sense every king and queen of Tamriel would eventually be of a diffferent race from the people they rule. Unless of course we are to say that the royal families of Tamriel all knowingly practice eugenics, which just seems odd.

>not very well thought out
Well yeah I agree it's dumb as fuck, but it is what it is and I guess Beth can retcon it whenever it suits them but for now it's canon
As I see it it was born out of some misguided attempt to explain in the lore how you have distinct "races" as tangible physical variants even within one "species" like humans for example
I mean I can call myself "white" or caucasian or whatever, but it means literally nothing
We're all mutts of one sort or another in real life, but for gameplay purposes that doesn't really work I guess, and somebody had the need to explain in in-lore instead of waving it off as just a mechanical limitation
>>
>>52482886

noe, what about falmer?
>>
>>52483041
It's clearly stated in Sermons that Vivec got CHIM by biting it off from Bal's dick, so I don't know why it's thorny. Of course Molag Bal (in this kalpa) doesn't have CHIM (atleast it's not active), but he used to be Ruling King of Dreugh kalpa which is probably why Vehk was able to learn CHIM from him.
>>
Since Bal was the Ruler of the Dreugh Kalpa, would that mean during that Kalpa he was Aedric instead of Daedric? Or is my understanding of Aedra and Daedra fuckered?
>>
>>52483157
Aedra were involved in creating Nirn, Daedra were not.
>>
>>52483157
I believe it was just a manifestation of Molag Bal, rather than lord of domination himself
>>
>>52476132
There's the effeminate race portraits that everyone uses for some reason.
So it probably sucks anyway.
>>
>>52483111
Would that make Molag Bal """not a proper Daedra""" then? As in he's not a powerful et'Ada that just didn't take part in the Mundus project, but rather a mortal that "apotheosised" and learned how to dodge the end of the world and stay in his own pocket dimension of Oblivion?
Apply this to Talos, if another change of kalpa ever comes would Talos then carry on as a "Daedric" prince maybe by some other name?
>>
>>52483284
Molag Bal is one of the strongest Daedra in existence, who may be slightly weaker then sheogorath and jyggalag
Then again, sheogorath is actually Hero of Kvatch, formerly human, so who knows...
>>
>>52483284
I think it would. Afaik Dagon (originally known as Leaper Demon King) is from another kalpa like that too and then there's Meridia. Not sure which ones of the Daedra are actually "proper" ones if any.

>>
>>52483284
I think every spirit starts out as an et'Ada, before becoming a Daedra or an Aedra. You see it with Malacath and Meridia.
>>
>>52483729
Afaik aedra and daedra are just terms of convenience without any inherit definition other than "our ancestors" and "not our ancestors"
As in the aedra, the Eight, are the et'Ada that sacrificed themselves to stabilize Mundus and are so revered as the beings that allowed for there to be a world for the mortals to live in, the Magna-Ge are the et'Ada that fucked the right out when they learned they'd be trapped if they stayed but still participated in the creation process of Mundus, and the Daedra are just et'Ada that never had any part in any of it at all
They're all et'Ada which just means spirits
The interpretation has always been that Daedra were there from the beginning and probably most were, like your generic shitter Xivilai and whatever, but when you think about it Daedra just means a spirit that's not recognized as being part of the project, so any number of the Daedric princes might be just "ruling kings" of previous kalpa that then later CHIM'd and became turbo-powered "demigods", what was that whole deal with Sheo and Arden Sul? Some thought he was the true lord of the Shivering Isles or whatever, others that he was an aspect of Sheogorath, maybe he was Sheogorath before Sheogorath was Sheogorath
>>
>>52483696
Dagon, he was Leaper Demon King. He survived several "world eatings" by hiding in his pocket realm. He also used to hide parts from eaten kalpas there (being more like prince of conservation) until Alduin got so pissed he somehow cursed/changed him into prince of destruction.

I guess Dremora might be dominant race from some other kalpa.

What sort of unique Martial Traditions might the races of Tamriel have? How would their unique culture and racial abilities affect such things?

There's probably a couple who achieved chim, but just didn't do anything with it or did minor things that aren't nearly as interesting as being a demigod or changing a jungle to a forest.
>>
>>52485607
I don't think CHIM itself really allows one to change reality. It is more like enlightment which in combination of greater power (such as heart for Vivec and thu'um+Numidium for Talos) allows one to manipulate reality and become the Ruling King.
>>
>>52485849
Doesn't CHIM mean royalty?

It could mean royalty in the same way the Sephirot Keter is considered a golden crown, someone who knows things regularly incomprehensible to folks and gets some power from that enlightenment

Nothing like that in lore. Elven ancestors (Ehlnofey, see Aldmeris) retaining their super magic and technologies during Dawn era when 12 worlds were made into Mundus, but being ancestors they hardly qualify as aliens. Also, technology of "Aldmeris" seems far more advanced than anything Dwemer (who had already degenerated from Ehlnofey) ever had. Supposedly Sotha Sil's Clockwork City is part of inner workings of Mundus and shows such wonders of technology that Dwemer seem primitive. C0DA also has references to "beam weapons from bygone era" which probably refers to Ehlnofey technology. I know C0DA is a fanfic, but this is tiny detail that's not important part of story and is likely taken from Bethesda's "lore bible" (hidden canon) which MK has claimed to have access to.

Bretons: They're big into knights, and magic is pretty common. Likely very "individualistic" in that Bretons often focus on certain great heroes and brave knights, and talk less about the common rank and file soldier. Probably a big divide between city-states and agrarian Bretons. Likely some Nordic influence in certain areas. The claymore is a Breton invention. Might be among the few places in Tamriel one might see heavy cavalry (it's sort of undefined if Breton knights are cavalrymen).

Orsimer: Heaviest infantry in Tamriel, typically fight in tribal warbands. Great warriors who can make good soldiers under the proper leadership, but somewhat of a one-trick pony. Probably a fair deal of influence from the Legion. Orcish mages are a rarity, cavalry is likely non-existent.

Nords: Heavy infantry, some berserkers or other lightly armoured warriors. Less regimented and formalised than Imperial armies, but not quite as tribal as Orcs or Bosmer. They have a thing for axes, but don't tend to field cavalry. Mages are typically auxiliaries, and something you'd see in the retinue of a Jarl or a High King. Shouting.

Continued.
>>
>>52487019
Dunmer: It depends. The "stereotypical" idea of a Dunmeri soldier is something of a spellsword type character, where you'd see medium infantry, bows, and light magic. But it's going to vary from House to House, and there's a difference between the more rank and file soldiers in the employ of a House and professional elite soldiers, such as Order of War Ordinators. And then there's the prevalence of hired muscle, or outsiders like tribal societies. Someone else would likely answer this better than me. The question of cavalry is unanswered, but I don't think it would be very common.

You get the impression that there's a lot of variance for Dunmer, and that there's a lot of ways this could be answered. But like most things Morrowind, it's hard to say if this comes from the Dunmer having more depth and variance, or if it's just because it's the culture the games have plunged the deepest into. There's very little military lore on some races

Redguards: SWORDS SWORDS SWORDS. Tamriel's best swordsmen. Ansei at some point in time. Redguards are probably more into the idea of warriors rather than soldiers. Likely to be a bid divide between rural Redguards who still carry the old Yokudan warrior ethos, and more cosmopolitan cities with Imperial-like armies. Swords, spears, porcelain armour. Medium infantry is likely the most prevalent, but the traditional warriors are likely lightly armoured. The Redguard comic has some illustrations. I'm nor aware of any cavalry traditions
>>
>>52486845
Thanks for correction. Seems my memory had failed. Still Ruddy Man seems to have achieved CHIM during Dreugh kalpa because that's required to be Ruling King.
>>52486865
Pretty sure it was Seven Fights of Alduggas.
>>
>>52484055
Aedra also have origin stories, Arkay used to be mortal and Akatosh was created by Marukhati.
>>
>>52487019
Would Orcish Mages dress in heavy armour like Imperial Battlemages? Since their whole schtick is the superiority of their armour and weapons.
>>
>>52487083
Imperials: Regulated, traditional, versatile. Their military history is centred around the Legion, which evolves to reflect the state of the Empire. Traditionally the core of the Legion is built upon professional, heavy Colovian infantry, but you'll find everything here. The Nibenese battlemage tradition lives on here. These guys have mass produced gear, and doctrines for everything from light cavalry to heavy pikemen. They have heavy cavalry, but Imperial knights seem like they prefer to fight on foot.
If you can think of a way to fight, the Imperials have it in some capacity, but the backbone will always be the Legion infantry, the "Ruby Ranks". It's all about soldiers, not individual warriors.

Altmer: It's a highly magical society, which results in a highly magical army. Since their society is also hierarchical, methodical and formalised, the army would be the same. Long lifespans likely result in very finely drilled and experienced soldiers. The focus of a battle probably comes down to magic against magic rater than trying to win by superior numbers or a bloody melee. The difficulty in talking about them is that there's likely a big divide between traditional Altmeri armies and Dominion armies. The first are an Altmer-only thing, and the kind you'd see in internal struggles. But the Dominion would incorporate Bosmeri and Khajiit footsoldiers to serve Altmeri officers.

Oh and by the way, most of this is from memory, so feel free to correct me at any point.
>>
>>52486886
So do you think he raped Harkon, Valerica, and Serana one by one or did he rape them all together at once?
>>
>>52487367
Bosmer: The kings of Valenwood don't usually keep big standing armies, and most fighters would be tribals. The fundamentals for these tribal warriors come from daily life and hunting, which involves bows and some magic. Gorilla warfare, ambush tactics, superior firepower and general irregular nastiness like that. That isn't to say that professional warriors wouldn't exist, or that they never fight in a melee, but it doesn't appear to be their preferred way to fight. Mages would be relatively commonplace.

Khajiit: These guys are all about mixed unit tactics, a natural result of their weird way of life. There's a cat for everything, from magic to archery to cavalry. Generally speaking a Khajiiti warrior is lightly armoured, in loosely fitted cloth, some scale armour and a helmet. Such light and mobile infantry appears to be the norm among bipedal Khajiit, but four-legged cats serve as light magical support, intelligent mounts for cavalry, and what's essentially elephant-cats. Here again there would be a regional divides between city and rural, between nomad and agricultural, and between desert and forest. But the general approach seems to be high mobility and high variance amongst troops. We know they have cavalry, but magic is rarer and not widely used.

>>52487270
I see on reason not to assume otherwise, though it might depend on the mage or tribe in question.
Orcs tend to be strong, and heavy armour is prevalent, so even a mage could likely use it.
>>
>>52487511
Argonians: Bosmer II Lizard Boogaloo. Just with less archers. These guys take the whole irregular gorilla tactics thing to a whole other level. We're probably mostly talking about lightly armoured tribal warriors, with the biggest degree of difference coming from what kind of Argonian they are. Mixed-tribe armies might be Khajiit-like in their variance. Hardy, and with some magical aid, but I can't imagine any real cavalry.
We don't really know a lot about them when it comes to this. Chieftains probably have personal retinues of professional warriors, and the Argonian kings we've seen from time to some probably had some actual soldiers. The An-Xileel might bring about a more united and formalised "Argonian soldier", but we haven't heard anything about it.

Oh, and as a last note, here's a page from the Redguard comic depicting Ra Gada warriors.
Now, this is just a single page in a semi-obscure comic, and it's an illustrations to a play rather than the historical event. So perhaps we shouldn't read too much into it.

But it's still kind of interesting in how it depicts the Warrior Wave as barely clad Yokudans with swords (and spears/pikes). It could probably serve as an ideal for how the isolated desert communities of Redguards still fight.

Perhaps most interesting still is the fact that they have blue-green scaled shields, which fits very nicely into that whole porcelain scale idea you see around. Maybe this is where it comes from, or maybe it's just the earliest expression of it. Or I may be completely fucking wrong.

Mannimarco was the first lich, he achieved immortality through some sort of alchemical ritual. We know from Oblivion that this isn't the only way to do that. This also isn't helped by Mannimarco being affected by the Warp in the West.
>>
>>
>>52487892
So then he probably wasn't the first lich, more likely just the first that did anything involving events recorded historians would care about.
>>
>>52489755
Well I'm more wondering about the metaphysics involved here. I know the undead are tricked out of the dreamsleeve... But what about those who willingly go undead? What are the implications for liches and vampires? After all, Dagoth Ur's shebang was a sort of anti-undeath, dead and dreaming and all that rot, but... What about the other sapient undead?

Well, they're big genetically engineered moths that can fly to space. Afaik dragons were also used for same purpose. These things were part Imperial space program (mananauts) and resulted in building of Battlespire space station(s), but was cancelled because it was too expensive.

Do you ever worry about a lack of creativity with monsters in TES games?

I'm not saying that they were always creative - Daggerfall had monsters straight out of Dungeons and Dragons, for the most part. But Morrowind obviously stands out for all its weird and exotic creatures, and you'd hope that they'd continue that theme in later games of making each province feel unique in what you find in it.

But if you look at Skyrim, its monsters are essentially the same monsters seen in Oblivion, despite the complete change in setting and tone. In fact, Oblivion had more monsters because of its weird 'everything gets better with you' mechanic - dreugh, minotaurs, etc. I'm worried that whatever the next installment will be will include the same general batch of monsters over again, with a few odd tidbits like Skyrim's draugr (which are pretty similar to undead anywhere) to make things seem unique. Even ESO, as far as I understand it, is mostly just reviving monsters from older games.

>why is that a bad thing

I feel like if they use the same monsters over and over, you could argue they'd basically be repeating the same game over and over. Oblivion is similar to Skyrim, what's next will be similar to Skyrim. They're ignoring opportunities for innovation in favor of widening a sandbox. I can't blame them for focusing on their strengths, but it saddens me that I know story and a richer setting will be left by the wayside.
>>
>>52498262
I stopped worrying when I realized Bethesda couldn't possibly deliver new "Morrowind" ever. This is not a bad thing because OpenMW, Tamriel Rebuilt and similar projects march on.

I've never seen them in play, so I'm not sure how you're supposed to handle it. Seeing as you need a designated Leader for the purposes of initiative and the fear roll on Leader death. So right now the only way to play them is with a Dwemer leader. Alternatively you could houserule it and say that Elite unit qualifies.

Honestly, I don't know if it's an oversight or if they're intended to be played leaderless. You're going to have to ask Duke.

So "the lich" takes over the body/corpse of the one who wants to be a lich?
>>
>>52503074
I imagine "The Lich" is the disembodied soul of the original body, changed by the rituals.
>>
>>52503074
Only very rarely - usually the lich uses their own body to find a means of undead immortality. I think Lost Boy Cavern was pointed out for its uniqueness and relevance to the idea that two souls can inhabit one body, like the Underking.

Honestly, they're pretty much liches that you find in D&D and such, I don't see what needs explaining.

How would a Breton with an Orc father look like? Like a regular one but with longer canines, taller and stronger than average, and slightly greenish skin?

Or an Altmer with a Nord father? Shorter, thicker build, rounder face, less yellow skin?
>>
>>52505420
I doubt it would be that radical for just one generation
Otherwise like any other breton, maybe barely noticeably more disposed to gain muscle and a bit taller than average but either of those could apply to any full blooded breton too
After all bretons themselves aren't THAT elven and they're a product of generations and generations of interbreeding
I'd imagine the traits of the father would be more personal, like if their dad had a big nose for an orc, the child might have a big nose for a breton type of deal
>>
>>52505370
We already have necromancy branching off into more unique places with the dunmer, and pocket guides wouldn't really talk much about it, so the only "modern" tes lich info we really have is Oblivion quests.
Given how they pounded magic into the dirt for skyrim, we;ll really have to wait for a main series new location for potential tes-specific lich lore.

But since we're on the subject, what could they even change/add to make it unique and still be recognized as lich instead of its own thing?

Okay
>main plot is actually not Vivec related, but more Sotha Sil centric
>Sotha Sil's clockwork city can in fact, affect reality. It is so powerful that a huge amount of daedra are teaming up to try and take it for various reasons
>Peryite and Sheogorath serve as the main villains, with Peryite being more active. Over the course of the game, Peryite manipulates things to infect Vivec and cut off his power (explained by daedric magic and Vivec not having actual divinity)
>This is to try and force Vivec into giving up the location of the city
>most villains during the main are trying to track the city down, Sotha Sil is implied to be flooding the market with fake maps and generally trying to mislead people, hence why there's multiple reports about where his city's entrance actually is
>At the end, the player reaches Clockwork City and a daedric three-way invasion begins, with Sotha Sil's fabricants caught in the middle. An endgame dungeon is Divayth Fyr sending in adventurers to help combat the invasion
>Sotha Sil is based off trainwiz's version it seems, fabricant people appear and sotha sil's city has an artificial sun at the center
>Clockwork City has lots of robotic versions of existing locations and people
>Telvanni have not developed the ability to grow towers from scratch, and have to grow them around existing Imperial structures
>Dratha ends up hating men because a rival Telvanni mage discovers takes credit for the from-scratch growing discover
>Therana is in, and is a gay furry
>Sixth House and Dagoth Ur do not exist. A sidequest in one dungeon has Sixth House descendants causing trouble, but they are not actual dreamers
>Balmora is a Redoran town, which was stolen from the Hlaalu. Over the course of the main quest the Redoran kick the ashlanders out of Ald-ruhn, and the Hlaalu take over Balmora again
>The ashlanders are the original founders of Ald-Ruhn, they killed Skar and settled inside of him

>>
>>52509225
And they fail at it anyway.
>>
>>52509225
telvanni grew towers from scratch, Tel Vos grew INTO the tower, not because of it.
And it's one dungeon with Sixth House people, not the plot. And the anti-slave stuff is more "slavery is bad mmkay" rather than specifically working for the twin lamps
>>
>>52484522
Nords practice wrestling, I guess practices and traditions centered around the voice count too and then they travel around Tamriel honing their fighting skills picking fights and brawling with other races.

I know the snownigger meme, but isn't Nord fighting basically streetfighting? Instead of a martial art akin to irl eastern martial arts like dunmer have, Nord young are taught by their parents how to throw a punch, some basic footwork and how to endure getting hit and then they just basically beat the fuck out of eachother in drunken brawls and other aimless fights. They learn unarmed fighting not through practicing different punches, grapples or kicks written down in scrolls passed around Khajiit or Dunmer temples and dojos, but by picking a fight with anyone and everyone and learning through experience and pain how to not get fucked up again similiarly
>>
>>52508686
Peryite seems like a poor choice honestly. Of all the Daedra who possess ambitions in the mortal plane, or standard power-lust, Peryite comes off as the least of such. His entire shtick has been, dare I say, an enigma.
Plus he's not in the House of Troubles, so it makes little sense lore-wise to have him challenge the Tribunal.
>>
>>52508761
No it doesn't. Some of it is good or decent, but Telvanni not inventing reliable mushroom towers until second era is bit stupid and it makes no sense why mushrooms would need specifically Imperial buildings as is implied here. It is well known fact Velothi towers represent how Telvanni lived before the mushrooms.

Also, it doesn't make any sense for Peyrite to be antagonist in Morrowind. It's also implied that Sotha Sil built Clockwork City while established lore makes it ambiguous because it's supposed to be older and probably represent clockwork/computer core of Nirn that is sort of world machine (keeping Mundus running) built by Aedra.

Screenshots of Clockwork City from ESO make me bit worried though. It looks too primitive, kinda like steampunk while it's supposed to be fantasy equivalent of cyberpunk. Complete with cyborgs and walls/floors made of electronic circuits seemingly forming gigantic computer.

>So what's the deal with Morrowind after the red year?
They got fucked up real hard by oblivion crisis, red year, umbriel and argonian invasion in a short time span. 200 years later they're finally getting their shit back together.
>Who has the power now that the tribunal is gone?
People are back to worshipping Azura, Boethiah and Mephala, but the temple and house Indoril are kinda irrelevant. Hlaalu got replaced by Sadras. REDORAN STRONG.
>Are their Argonians still occupying the mainland?
We don't know exactly if the old border has been restored, but Redoran recaptured Mournhold. I suspect the current border would be just a bit north of the old one and they have reconquered most of the lost territory.
