How many neck vertebrae does a dragon have?

The skeletal structure of dragons are very reminiscent of other vertebrates, so they have seven. At least, the traditional dragon. Don't know about those long snaky dragon fucks.

It depends on the neck length. Longer necked creatures, like Sauropods, had up to twelve neck vertebrae. Today, Giraffes and humans have seven (Giraffes have really long vertebrae). So, if it's one of those Chinese dragons, most likely up to twelve vertebrae in the neck.

A more important question is how the fuck do the wings on 6-limbed dragons even work. Mechanically for their muscles and bones to work, would they need 2 sets of pectoral muscles, what would those be attached to, wouldnt it get in the way of the ribcage and internal organs, etc.

Birds, on the other hand, have quite a few more. Hawks, eagles, and raptors, for example, have 14 neck vertebrae.

As aerial hunters, I imagine dragons would be built more like birds of prey than terrestrial lizards.
