How do we fix the terrible Age of Sigmar setting?
>>
>>52415284
For what purpose ?
>>
>Stop buying Stormcasts
>Play all the new WHFB vidyas
>Generate demand for the return of the Old World
>>
>>52415344
Too see if garbage can be salvaged.
>>
Better question:

How do we reverse the End Times and Sigmarines?

Make it all the fever dream of a snoozing Empire Wizard?
>>
Archaons destroys the world, again. We are back to Fantasy. This time, he's killed for good.
>>
>>52415432
I'm all for recycling but some garbage is just too bad.

Plus AoS makes for a perfect shit taste filter.
>>
>age of sigmar artwork

please tell me that is not official artwork
>>
>>52415420
>>52415452
>>52415453
Desperate Fantasyfags are so cute.

I'm pretty sure it is because that's typically how it looks.
>>
>>52415576
>people really defending Marvel rip-off
You should by older than 8 years to post here
>>
>>52415576
The problem boils down to good writing or bad writing.
>>
AoS setting is great. I really wouldn't change mech about it. Other than give us some more info about the elves and free peoples, but the new hero quest game shines some more light on the latter, which is cool.

I honestly like it and don't give a fuck if you think my opinion is wrong.
>>
>>52415618

You're like a battered wife. Worse even because your husband isn't coming back even if you want him too!

I've played one full game of Fantasy in my life.

I know a turd when I see one though. A turd with the odd nugget of silver in it, but a turd nonetheless.

By adding more thick musclegirls. They already introduced first one of them it in their new boardgame, so now it's only a question of time.

I would remove Chaos and Dwarfs entirely.

The average 4chan poster everyone.

>I've actually never done this
>but my opinions are valid
>>
>>52415284
I kind of like the idea for Age of Sigmar, honestly. Making the setting a noticeably strange and fantastical world (or collection of worlds) was breath of fresh air compared to yet boring Middle Earth knock off. If the focused on that and tried to recreate the complex politics of the Old World in a new environment, I'd be down with it.

But GW wants its plastic army men to fight its other plastic army men, so no luck there.
>>

>>
Turn Age of Sigmar into a subset of Fantasy under the specialty games banner with a focus on the board game style play/

Bring back Fantasy with revamped infantry lines (elite and special units age doesn't matter but everything under the banner of core units gets a new box if the kit predates Storm of Magic).
>>
>>52415783
You're more of a crackwhore than me, you're a crackwhore who has no crack so you're left licking up salty pubes from the bathroom floor.

Until 2013 (when GW stopped releasing minis for WHFB), it was the second best selling game on the market.

People hated line infantry because all the kits were boring shit that was 15 years old at the newest.

GW just had to include official filler pieces and build your own filler piece sets for each faction to give support to stuff like pic related while also giving GW actual money through kitbashing.

I think my real problem with Age of Sogmar's setting is that it's a world where, unlike even 40k, there truly *is* only war.

You can't tell the stories of regular people's regular lives, because there are no regular people with regular lives around. There's no merchants or blacksmiths or town guards, just legions of warriors fighting a cosmic battle with no end in sight. It's hard to really get invested in that.

What I love about AoS is the Stormcast eternals. They are truly superheroes, living in golden cities like Asgard. The amount of haters just show that people don't like comics and thus have shit taste.

Plus Stormcasts can be black or female, so if you don't like them you probably racist or sexist.

Why are there at least three threads of probably the same 20-30 people arguing about the same damn thing that they aren't gonna change their minds about?

>>52416188
I do wonder if they are ever going to elaborate eventually. Like 40k immediately in Rogue Trader/1st had quite a bit of this stuff in its first few books, but as 40k went on the focus on more "regular" people went away and it did get closer and closer towards "only war." But then in a way they could afford to do this as it was mainly their novels that started expanding on this, and the most probable thing happening is the novels also for AoS to expand such things as well.

>>52416362
>B-but you don't have an argument.

Alright, here is my argument. AoS is a clean slate setting that is only a year old, at the same time of Aos, WHFB wasn't even a Fantasy battle game, had no fucking map, had no clear setting or factions and was vaguely designed around about 5 cities of the Empire and that the chaos wastes existed. Lizardmen? Nothing. closest was Firmir. WHFB was a bunch of British nerds blending Moorcock, Conan, LotR and DnD together in such a hilariously obvious way, they managed to pinch every single idea and stitch it together. Just. Like. AoS.

I like AoS because it's a final breath of fresh air, I can go full ham mode in designing the background of not just my Army, but also my campaigns. It's an enjoyable setting and the best part for now is anything I want, I can simply create. From cities to Empires to models and rules.

Every thread Slavposter, you post multiple replied posts on how AoS is "WoW" and "He-Man" and "Marvel superheroes"

At the end of the day, maybe it is those things, but I find it amusing enough, and it was one simple thing that got me about the setting.

When a bunch of Stormcast come across a Banshee in a town, She's not evil, She's just a sad misbegotten spirit who aids the Stormcast.

And you know what? I loved that, I'm fucking sick of the Grimderp in Warhammer shit.

>>
>>52416506
All we need is an AoS roleplaying game. That's all WHFB needed.
>>
>>52416366
Einherjar are dead warriors who got the attention of the Valkyries and got picked upon their death to fight for the final battle in the Valhalla. They are supposed to fight once, for Ragnarok.

Sigmarines are mortals who got picked and reforged and get revived each time they die. Their is absolutely nothing in common with Einherjar.
>>
>>52416481
>Yeah and they much closer to Marvel myths adaptation

>>
>>52416460
I'll stop you right there my friend. No one has ever said that whfb was a bad setting, I think it's safe to say that we all 100% agree whfb was cool. But the hatred for AoS seems to stem solely from the butthurt of whfb getting axed, which is understandable but it's been years now and it's getting old.

The setting for AoS is objectively cool, and if it were a standalone game that didn't replace whfb, I cannot envision people hating on it as much as they do now.

Movies about angels and demons are incredibly popular, and AoS is basically that + a bunch of fantasy stuff

Actually, it's sorta both. AoS Sigmar takes people from the living & the dead. In fact, many Sigmarines are indeed experienced warriors before their selection.

Space Marines were selected from promising kids. Sigmarines are mainly people who've already lived a life & want revenge against Chaos.

He found Sigmar and Malus too. He befriended Sigmar because he was a kindred spirit and took him on space adventures until he led him to the Mortal Realms. No necklace needed. Dragon bro is just a bro. He is friends with anyone who opposes Chaos.

Why if winds were consumed by warp and mallus was just a core of the world which was eaten by Chaos right after ET?
>Dragon bro is sp

wut?

>That's why I said "shoulders".

And I expalined the similarities between SC and SG armour and how it was different from Lightbringer.

>No different from average full plate

Except average full plate doesn't have sculpted muscle. It also doesn't typically flare at the bottom like space marine or stormcast armour does.

>and totally nothing like anatomical armor on the legs and hands of BA

Except it is very much like that. Less detail does not mean no inspiration from.

gold has a hundred meanings in Khazalid, the language of the dwarfs from warhammer.
>>
>>52417786
>Then what is it and why it's called gold.

Just a name. Fyreslayers don't give a damn about normal gold.

>Also FS runes made from this gold, right?

Yes.

>Oh come on such setting is AoS always have safe space.

Nope. Everything ends if Archaon wins. There is nowhere to run this time.
>>
>>52417808
>Ur-Gold is basically C'tan shards of a broken dwarf god.
And you didn't answer to my quetion
>>
>>52417616
>Well looks like it was very polite and progressive regime which allow workers to keep gold what they found.

They could have just hidden any gold they found.

>Was drained by Chaos in the last ET book.

The winds escaped into space.
>>

Yeah, and I was speaking of the half year of 2016-2017, where Fall of 2016 falls you brainless oaf. Don't go on a tangent and try to make it sound as if you were right you idiot.
>>
>>52417816
I don't understand what you are trying to say.
>>
>>52417853
But I am right, even when comparing 2012's uninteresting half year results, and 2016's stellar results you end up seeing that 2012 was better.

C'tans are material Lovecraftian gods from 40k which were destroyed by the Necrons for being assholes. They remains as some kind of metal shards that contains their essence.

Ur-Gold is basically lifted from 40k with very little change.
>>
>>52417889
because you are not comparing 2016. You're comparing 2015-2016. WoM, TL and all the rest are in the 2016-2017 which is why I'm calling you a dumbass because you've not connected the dots ye.

Except that Ur-gold is not sentient or anyhing. It's just metal that the Fyreslayers use as source of power and drugs. Skaven use it as drugs too.

Wrong. They have sculpted abs, back and calves.

I explained how the pauldrons were different as well.

Chest, head, abs, legs, elbow pads, pauldrons.

There you are.

Revenue at constant currency

2016/17 : 62.7m

Meanwhile the whole market grew up by 73%

They were as the souls retained a connection to the winds.

Ever head of fools gold?

Nope. The ET books and novels continuously said that there is an escape or a new world that will be formed after the old one dies.

They're not the ones making hate threads constantly because you're butthurt about their setting.

They killed themselves pretty hard in 2014. I mean, they are picking the slack (much to my chargrin).

It's 44 dollars versus 30, it's a 50% more. I'm definitely not paying that much in order to spend time with frenchment.

This. When they switched from multi-man stores to single-man stores they performed an economic fuckup that they have only now (as in this year) recovered from.
>>
>>52418610
I'm in between games. I might pick up the 8'th edition of 40k.

Careful with overinterpreting stock prices, you have to put it into comparison with the british pound dropping to an ounce.

Basically last year all brit stocks have mechanically raised by 20% since the pound dropped by 20%. It doesn't necessarily reflects economical performance.
>>
>>52419401
Different anon (and desu, I don't give half a fuck of all this debate you guys are having over AoS)
Even then, you're looking at the highest stock prices. EVER. Not even with the craze of the LOTR did they get this values, adjustments be damned.
