It looks a bit easy to mess up in production, but otherwise is actually a fresh look for these guys.

Why are the legs too short on every space marine model? It is just too late to change at this point, or does GW not even realise it?
>>52367427
Are you saying marine legs are too short because you're comparing them to Custodes legs and Custodes look better, or are you actually saying Custodes legs are too short? Because they're not. Custodes shoulders and helms are too long but their legs are perfect.
>>52367456
All marines legs are too short, including (especially) Custodes. If you look up how people convert true-scale space marines, you'll see that they actually bring the models correctly into proportion by cutting the legs apart and making them several millimeters longer.
The front Custodes in this picture >>52366967 honestly looks like he has the proportions of a Dwarf. In human anatomy, the legs make up over half of over height, with the waist being about 3/5ths up the body. In the Custodes models, the waist is only at about 1/2 of the overall height. The legs need to be about 25% longer to be accurate to actual human proportions.
You get used to it if you just look at the models all day, but if you know anything about human anatomy then you notice how all Astartes have stubby little legs.

>he thinks it's just the legs
You can't just re-proportion the legs. The entire model needs to be reworked since the entire scale is so fucked up to begin with. If you look at a PROPORTIONATE truescale, the only piece that isn't replaced or rebuilt completely is the head. If you think adding some spacers to a marines' legs makes him proportional you're delusional. Far more delusional than GW who at least knows their shit isn't supposed to be properly proportioned.

Well yeah, obviously, I pointed that out as an example to illustrate my point. I know people tend to get defensive when they realise they are wrong on the internet, but come on, anon. Ihe legs are by far the greatest offender. They are the MOST out of proportion.
I painted on a picture for ants to demonstrate.

Still could do with a good few milimeters in those legs...

What is that? M42 Space Marine from the post-WH40k game they're making?

>augmented superhumans in the "heroic" scale
>uses non-heroic proportions
Are you retarded? They aren't even human proportioned to begin with, and you don't just scale regular humans up as they get bigger. Talk about being wrong.
