This is official art from a GW comic
>>52296575
Cool. Nice power glaive.
>>52296575
Inquisitors can be female, Inquisitors can get Terminator armor. Where's the issue?
Oh, you're just trying to start shit for no reason. Here's your sage and a (you)
>>52296575
>GW comic
It might be official, but it's not canon.
>mfw I wish it was though
>that scaled Mk IV style chest
>that Company Champion style Curadh pauldron
>>52296575
Those proportions have reached maximum retardation.
>>52296575
Can't fool me, OP.
Look at her arms; that's clearly a walk-in prop for tourists to take pictures, not an actual terminator armour.
>>52296575
Okay. Do you have a point?
>>52296575
To what end?
>>52296575
looks silly, but it's okay as long as it's not a marine
>>52296614
I am a 4.0 GPA med student and I'll have you know she is anatomically perfect.
Still provides less protection than base-line Custode suit
>>52296575
>female human
>long hair
>40k
nah
women are all bald in that universe because that's a British man's fetish
>>52296575
Just post the panels of her getting naked and strapped into the armour so we can fap
>>52296649
The stilts make sense, but the arms are still fucked six ways to sunday
>>52296631
Good point, they could well be bionic limbs
>>52296649
I've seen more of that comic released, she's supposed to be standing up right, with those "hands" being her hands.
Somehow she jumped two feet in height. It's not like the artist isn't retarded though. He mistook Imperial Knights for fucking Titans and made them as tall as a Warhound.
>>52296685
>bionic limbs
>implying Moloc isn't a full fucking robot that they just reset the AI on every time
>>52296575
Ok, so? Whats the issue? Shes an Inquisitor and Inquisitors get access to terminator armor.
>>52296637
Maybe she controls the armor the same way Marines control their Centurion suits, doing the Gainax pose and using a Mind-Impulse unit.
>>52296637
>people still think terminator arms connect from the middle of the shoulder to the torso
>while in all the art and models the armpit is at the very bottom
I can see a huge gene-bulked motherfucker like Hector Rex wearing one but not a dainty chick like Sabbethiel
>>52296575
such a big armor and yet that exposed head, are helmets in shortage in the inquisition?
>>52296706
Look where the head is relative to the arms. it doesn't matter the height of the connection, the issue is the width. She'd look comically wide outside of the armor to the point of being executed as a mutant.
>>52296700
>Gainax pose
Poor Getter Robo...
>>52296713
Her name is sabbethiel? I've seen a few other panels of this comic and she's pretty jacked for a girl, still not very tall tho
>>52296728
Assuming you're new to 40k, and not just being a smartass, no main character, inquisition or not, wear a helmet. If they don't have a helmet they're important enough to rely on plot armor.
>>52296694
>and made them as tall as a Warhound
About that...
>>52296770
Plus anyone who's anyone has a force field generator trinket somewhere on their person, which probably helps.
>>52296770
i know i know, just being a smart ass, in the far future you'd think they give your commander a helmet to protect them from you know headshots but not in wh40k here it's the exact opposite
>>52296575
There's been humans in terminator armour since Rogue Trader, this is FAKE NEWS
>>52296796
The fuck is wrong with that Lucius? There's no way that's the actual FW sculpt
My understanding was that much like power armour, it's still perfectly wearable without the black carapace, just nowhere near as fully functional.
>>52296649
I always assumed normal humans in tactical dreadnought armor were just curled up in the center body location and controlled it via neural interface, so it's more 'mech then suit.
>>52296575
so anyone have the pdf of this comic or the name of the comic?
>>52296770

>>52297094
...No it comes with a helmet and an option head.
>>52296770
Dante wears a helmet all the fucking time. He makes a big deal about it actually.
>>52297107
It's sad that we know Russ had a helmet, Ulrik now has it, but FW just couldn't give him one in the kit.
Also, 40k Girlyman comes with a helmet. Make what you will of that and his heroism.
>>52297157
The kit has a helmeted head option for him, anon. The left hand will then hold a plasma pistol.
>>52297145
This armor looks so fucking stupid. Look at all this empty space around her head just why. Why the fuck would anyone do that? Well I'll tell you why it's because GW is a bunch of FUCKING HACKS
>we will rip off Judge Dredd, Aliens, Terminator, every dystopian setting ever made and then smash it together and call it a setting lol
>we will base all our designs on 80's metal album covers
>>52297168
Dad is disappoint
Though he always was, to be honest
>>52296575
Surely her feet finish where the armours knee joints begin?
>>52296575
Human terminator armor has been a thing for a while
>>52296832
Yeah, its the inverse in 40k. The more bad-ass you are, the more impractical you make your armour to show how bad-ass you are. This has an exponential growth rate.
Commanders get bigger hats as they go up in power level. Humans get commissar hats with skulls, eldar get conehead accessories, marines get crests, orks get topknots, nids get chitin ridges, tau get sensor antennae, necrons get egytian shit. Eventually, a character gets so OP and their hat is so big the only way they can become more impractical is to not wear a helmet at all.
>>52297627
Yeah, like Rogue Trader while.
>>52296575
Oh no! A female in power armor, the only thing able to defeat my misogyny! I, the Cishet Shitlord of Sexism, am defeated!

I'm guessing a lot of cybernetics in replacement of gene-seed. Kind of like Luther from the Dark Angels.
>>52296575
I want to impregnate this woman
>>52296575
Surely if you want a hyper-autism take on the suit, it'll better be made after the Landmates design.
>>52296575
Looked into the lore a bit, supposedly SOB that join the inquisition sometimes take terminator armor. That would at least make a little bit of sense.
>>52298092
The Imperium requires soldiers, anon. Go and be fruitful.
>>52297955
But for killing selection. Commanders aren't signalling they're so good at shit they can waste resources being flash and still be dtf. They're signalling they're so good at shit they can waste resources and still be the best at murder.
I'm more bothered by the fact she has all of her hair and sensory organs with nary a random cybernetic or random cable in sight.
>>52298148
Thanks, Commissar! I won't let you down!
>>52296575
Does the power armor balance out her -4 STR?
What d20 level of Strength bonus would termie armor give anyways?
>>52296654
Khorne has less protection than a base-line Custodes.
>>52298196
Terminator armor doesn't rely on the users strength, it's closer to operating machinery then moving in a suit.
>>52296575
Anon, Amberly Vail did that all the time.
>>52297295
The Emperor was the Chaos God of disappointment and terrible parenting.
The thousands psykers sacrificed to him do nothing. It's the trillions of fathers wondering why their sun didn't join the Guard that sustain him.

>Inquisitors can get Terminator armor
They can? I know they don't answer to anybody, but it seems like Terminator armor would be hard for them to get.
>>52298260
Yeah, the inquisitors have access to pretty much everything. The grey knights exist in case you forgot.
>>52297290
And it was glorious. Oh, how the mighty have fallen...
>>52298272
>The Grey Knights exist.
I remember the Grey Knights, but I figure if there's something an Inquisitor needs Terminators to fight, they'd call in the Grey Knights instead of doing it themselves.
>>52298260
>>52298260
>but it seems like Terminator armor would be hard for them to get.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Maybe a crazy poor one, but there is next to nothing in the Imperium that the Inquisition and her holy Agents cannot get ahold of. Only the Space Marines are outside of their reach, and even then, they can apply pressure onto the chapter in question.
>>52298292
Well, you can't really say no to the inquisition. And space marines can and have become inquisitors.
>>52298260
It's expensive but it exists. Even power armor is only for the wealthiest and it seems pretty normal for Inquisitors.
>>52298260
Ordo Malleus can take them in Codex: Inquisition. And while you may not care, FFG says that Terminator Suits sized for humans are custom-built on the orders of an influential Inquisitor (which is in-line with Index Astartes fluff that Terminator armor is still produced from stratch, albeit at a rate which supply will never ever meet demand.)

The Warhound kit has a lot of options for posing, but requires the various pistols and joints to be cut at specific lengths. If you just assemble it stock, that's what you get. I know someone who has a Warhound and it's the stiffest, least dynamic model I've ever seen.

When exactly did this fluff change happen? I hate it.
>>52298671
Whatever edition the Primarchs stopped being regular marines
>>52298671
Space Marines have always been a huge political grey area for everyone, Inquisition included. Technically all space Marines answer only to the Emperor and everyone else can fuck off. This is why the Sue Wolves can do things like wave their dicks at the Inquisition. What the Inquisition CAN do - because they cannot give space Marines orders - is make their lives a miserable living hell, apply external pressure, call a crusade on them, or utilize their crack teams of Ork Snipers. So in almost all practical situations, space Marines play ball, because very few of them are self sufficient enough or have the clout to tell them to fuck off. Only a first founding chapter like the wolves or the Ultramarines could (hence why leandros was always wrong)
>>52298918
>people say Leandros was wrong
>Relic confirmed planned trilogy was going to be about renegade Titus
You could say Titus going rogue was caused by Leandros' snitching to begin with, but that doesn't fly in 40k: a heretic is a heretic. "I only went traitor because of that fucking snitch" isn't an excuse. Leandros was right, even if he went about to the wrong way.
>>52296770

Not a fan, really. I would prefer it if non-marines wore power armor in the same way marines wore termie armor.
>>52300335
Well there's a difference between power armor made to fit a marine's body and one made to fit a human body. Especially if it's some rich inquisitor who gets its custom made.
>>52296637
Terminate armour for regular humans is modified so they can wear it.
See the old Wordbearer FW guy who wears it.
Those fucking shoulders...
>>52296649
>this is official material
>>52296575
The armour design is pretty good, but the proportions are all wrong.
>>52303531
It really isn't when normal humans get into Terminator armour they are wearing a mech suit like a Tau crisis suit. Theres robotic arm and leg extenders in each limb.
It's all very progressive, but she would have looked more functional in SoB style plate.
>>52303623
Nah, the arms are too short, regardless of any robotic limbs.
And I'm not sure how she is supposed to fit into it without breaking in half.
>>52303733
Im not making this up there is an actual model that models the mechanism for Terminator armour for a human.
>>52296575
Apart from the usually-fucked termy proportions, what is the issue? Inquisitors in TDA were a thing as far back as Rogue Trader.

>>52296649
The only way I can see her fitting in that is she lost her limbs and is that is a mech suit hooked up to her stumps.
>>52296614
It's true, actually, the artist was public that he was not allowed to design the suit outside of GW mandated proportions.
>>52304280
His stylistic exaggeration's kind of made the existing problems with terminator design worse, though. Wider shoulders, higher arms, thinner waist/hips. The shape of the breastplate ain't helping much either.
Course Inferno!/Warhammer Monthly's standards were a lot worse, so it's not like this is a big deal.
>>52298103
If GW cared about proportions and making sense rather than ALL OF THE BULK we'd be at a different place entirely.
>>52298238

What this anon says >>52298918 and while it was frequently stated as fact back then, without the ambiguity and elaboration on the subject that we have now, that an Inquisitor's power was absolute, there were always a lot of 'exceptions' that seemed to crop up. The one of particular note was that both the Dark Angels and Blood Angels have been killing them since early editions, if they investigate their respective problems too closely.

Laffed pretty good, thanks
As already pointed out, its a custom work, that can accommodate a normal human. Artificer armor is not uncommon among the inquisition.
>>52305228
It's from the same era you could have an Imperial Assassin On a bike wearing Terminator armour disguised as a grot, isn't it?
>>52296575
Did the Titan Comics people forget there's human scale terminator armor? Because there's no way anyone's proportions but a marine should fit in there. Unless she has cybernetic limbs or is gene modded herself to be giant.
>>52304487
Is that a jumpsuit equivalent of the Black Carapace for non-marines, or is she naked under terminator armour?
If it were me I'd be wearing underwear at least. Especially socks.
>>52305494
>gene modded herself to be giant.
Unnnnnf plz bigger
>>52296575
Maybe she used her Inquisitorial influence to get a Black Carapace equivalent so that her mind is controlling the armor, and she's curled up in a ball in the chest.
It's the only way I can make sense of that design.
Anybody have the full comic?
Is it the dark angels one from a while back? I thought that was pretty good, though only like 2 issues were out and I don't really know good from bad comics

This. Anyone who ever read the GK codex knows you can buy terminator armour for your Inquisitor. Heck, they can take more gear on it than a GK Grand Master if I remeber correctly.
>>52305731
*or at least you could in the 5th ed codex
I'm not sure if they changed it in the current one.
>>52305737
Inquisitors were removed from Codex: Grey Knights and put in a digital only, mini-dex Codex: Inquisition. In which only Malleus Inquisitors can upgrade with Termie plate IIRC.
>>52305488
Nah, polymorphine in that form was a 2nd ed thing and it was quickly erratad not to allow that type of thing. In RT well... just had a quick look in the book and there don't seem to be any rules for it... just fluff and points. Guess it was a narrative thing.
I don't remember there ever being any rules for Marine Inquisitors... though they may well be in the fluff of RT. It certainly had space marines doing stuff they currently wouldn't... like acting as planetary police, governors bodyguards, etc.
>>52305508
Probably naked, because they don't show the front.
>>52305508
That's probably a Mind-Impulse Unit designed to basically be a black carapace stand in. Can't have the perfect gene-crafted BC so take a riskier move and get some sweet mechanicus implants instead.
>>52296610
Everything is canon, not everything is true.
>>52305812
>It certainly had space marines doing stuff they currently wouldn't... like acting as planetary police, governors bodyguards, etc.
Marines can be planetary governors, or rather have a planetary governor respond to them, like how it happens in Ultramar, and planets that have Astartes Monasteriums are in a way policed by them.
The HH books also retake those early fluff elements
>>52296575
She looks like she is using a space marine's power armor instead of one made for a regular human.
>>52298671
It didn't.
Like every imperial autority, the Inquisition only has the power it can enforce. But they can enforce a lot.
So marines can totally tell an inquisitor to fuck off, be it old or new fluff. The only question is how much of a dick the inquisitor decides to be afterwards, on a scale going from "mandate to crusade in a shitty sector" to "exterminatus on all holdings".
>>52304414

This; it's Tactical Dreadnought armour. As in, it's a small fucking walking tank, developed from an exoskeleton designed to repair plasma reactors from the inside, without having to shut them down first.
I always thought 40k marine suits were similar to those in Starcraft, or at least the general idea regarding the glove parts. There are controls almost midway up the arm that controls the hands.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZd9n373vf4
But then I learned space marines are actually just FUCKHUEG and extremely genetically modified to where they're barely human by the general sense of the word and actually have the body mass to fill out most of the armor.yes, I do know the whole story behind Blizzard blatantly ripping off GW after the Starcraft guys broke off and started their own thing. It always triggers fanboys when I bring up Starcraft.
>>52306539

I don't think you can operate SM-pattern power armour without a black carapace.
That being said 40k is very open to have just about anything take place. They can explain it away as a "modified" piece of power armour
It being a female inquisitor really isn't an issue, though the terminator armour part is
Gonna play an 800 point game versus a friend right now. We just swapped list, and it's looking like an interesting game.
What's your predictions /40kg/? Who will emerge triumphant?
>>52300335
Nigga, they had termie armor since RT.

>I think you're confusing Dante with Tycho and his mask. Dante is shown not only sans-helmet but sans armour (dressed in ceremonial robes and with his hair down, no less!) in Bloodquest.
I mean, yeah, he's been shown out of armor, but that doesn't change the fact that his official model has ALWAYS had a helmet and the majority of his artwork depicts him wearing one.
>>52305508
I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in terminator armor was naked under it
It's 40k
it doesn't always make sense even when it should
I wish power armor in warhammer looked like actual power armor and not just armor for big dudes, there aren't any mechanisms, just some sort of engine on the back and some wires and tubes.
>>52310184
>I don't think you can operate SM-pattern power armour without a black carapace.
>It being a female inquisitor really isn't an issue, though the terminator armour part is
It's clearly not an SM-pattern version of Terminator armor, and Terminator armor isn't space marine exclusive. I could cite the roleplaying games, but I think this screencap from 6e Tabletop would be the most indisputable and direct.
I wonder about the amount of training needed to even move safely with one of these on/around.
Also, isn't its design based off a DAoT hazmat suit?
>>52306457
It's an augmentic foot.
Reminder that terminator armor dates to the golden age of humanity and was invented to let normal fucks operate in reactors and was later adapted for combat and space marines
>>52310745
>Also, isn't its design based off a DAoT hazmat suit?
More or less. It was for stuff like working inside active plasma reactors.
>>52296713
While this pic is really cool, I sometimes wonder how long it would take for all the accumulated rain to start filling up his suit.
>>52298103

He doesn't really do anything of note beyond act as a swordsman. Marneus Calgar and Agemman are the only ones who had any reasonable interaction with Guilliman, which is probably why they were left to deal with the whole Ultramar thing.
>>52306610
I think he's also trying to improve Cato. If Gorillaman is going to rule the imperium, he may reinstate tetrarchs. Calgar an obvious one, but Cato may be on guard duty as much to keep him out of the way as to teach him some humility.
He can never be a Primarch, so he has to respect Guilliman and Guilliman may use this time to mold him into a better person.

No it's only mostly retarded, which is the standard for 40k
>>52306225
Its the matter of system/structure design more than overall aesthetic tho.
I just think that thing like Centurion or even Crisis is made even more sense if they use somekind of Landmates-like motion control. Hell, it'll eliminate those "mental backlash" problems that Tau's pilot suffer due to direct mind interface.

You do realize that those master arms are mostly armored right? No? yeah thats what i thought.
Those picture is mostly for demonstration pin up, the real military Landmates will have their master arm (those small arm) armored with composites that'll able to deflect frags or .50 cal fire, the torso are outwardly curved so the chances that deflection from center torso will hit the master arm is very thin, and it'll also constantly covered by slave arms (the big one) in real fight due to regular shooting stance, so its not much of a problem.

Oh, no... I meant acting as bodyguards for human overlords. They were used a bit more like stormtroopers than they are now (Marines were originally T3 with a 4+ save :P)
>>52296575
Do they at least give any excuse as to why the anatomy is so wrong?
She could have neural implants controlling the armor with her real limbs innactive inside the chest plate. Or she could have most of her weak flesh removed and have the power armor fused to her body (not sure if heretech)
I like myself some big women, and I like myself women in full body armor, but this one just looks way too weird.
>>52296706
This only works for the hideously mutated freaks that are the Space Marines, a baseline human does not fit this giant toy armor.

You know this, yet you spazz out like some frothing /pol/tard. Look at SoB or all the female inquisitors, women have been getting shit done in 40k for a good long time, or do you think all of that was some how a SJW plot to enrich you as well?
I'd be with you, if this was a female marine, but it isn't. It very clearly isn't. For fuck sake look at >>52304487, if this was some SJW insert, she'd not be depicted as attractive. She'd be some short haired (or half shaved) bulldyke with augs, 'cause we all know SJWs hate attractive women more than anything.
>>52318581
Dude. I wrote fluff for an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor named Maria. When I got to proxying her model, I used a Gray Knight body with a Seraphim head.
This is LITERALLY that, except in print. Calm your tits.
>>52296637
>>52305218

>>52311480
It's really just the head.

It actually kinda makes sense to keep the head smaller. Far more difficult to hit at range since it is a smaller target and easier to protect.
>>52304487
I'm okay with this. A normal human wouldn't be able to interface with power armor properly; it would have to be relatively light like Sisters armor, or you would have to design a metallic endoskeleton to help make it physically possible to even fit in it, let alone move.

Am I the only person here that thinks someone with that "style" can still be attractive? Eh, well, maybe it's because I lived through the fucking 80's and don't get automatically triggered into screeching "TUMBLR" when I see someone wearing the style.
Also I'd say a bulldyke with augs is way more believable as a badass female warrior (though not necessarily an Inquisitor, since I don't doubt some would go through extreme pains to look very attractive or otherwise not terribly out of place).

You're not.
I've been saying it for a long time that people who complain about someone's hair style are petty little bitches. Because it's literally the easiest part of the human body to change if you don't like it, and one that people frequently change with the season, changing styles, or because they just god damn feel like it. Making it absolutely retarded to make value judgments of people based on their fucking hair.
But hey, it's the internet, where people being retarded and whiny is a never-ended resource.

You mean like the Mech-troopers in XCOM: EW? Either that or the small mechs from the Avatar movie (the scifi one, not M . Night Shams fuckup) where they are sort of curled up in the mech and wear a control harness that mimics the motions of their limbs but greatly exaggerates them so the don't have to move them far in the tight space in the mech.
As long as it's not a space marine I think this is fine
>>52311867
I hope the Custodes Termies get over-under Storm Bolters, that'd be neat.
Space marines aren't really "men" either. They are just a mutated 9 foot tall pile of meat meant to pilot huge mecha suits. Any human trying to use Space Marine armor is stupid.
I feel like a lot of people in this thread didn't see>>52304487
Obviously the inquisitor is going to be massively slower due to not having a proper black carapace and the armor was refitted on the inside so she could even fit.

>>52343462
I know it makes her look a lot better, but then that means the guys in the background are both half her height. And if she's more a normal size instead of just in big armor, they're tiny.
>>52343462
biggest problem in that picture (and space marine armor in general) is arm location. It is too far away from the torso and too high up.
>>52344283
So they are tiny, It's not hard to see a malnurished servitors being short, and so could be the priest. She could also be very tall, the important thing is that now she looks like a human being and not a Spehz Mareen.
>>52343462
It makes it look better, but Terminator armour in general still has fucked arm placement.
If the arms were fully robotic, like Crisis suits, that's the only way it'd work.
>>52343462
That would have to be the Galaxy's Smallest Suit of Terminator Armour.

For human sized power armor it would likely be an auto success provided you have the appropriate training. For armor that huge you can probably get away with just operate and still go untested for non combat but will need to start rolling once you need to perform maneuvers under pressure.

>>52296575
I don't really see the problem. Inquisitors are accountable to fucking nobody, people that regularly get their hands on archaeotech, xenos shot, and employ dameonhosts are probably capable of getting some Terminator suits, especially if they end up being """"gifted"""" from a chapter under investigation bloodraven-style.
I also was under the impression that Terminator armor functioned more like a mech suit than actual armor, with the limbs remaining close to the interior controlling bionic arms and legs, since Terminator armor is fucking huge with disproportionate limbs even for Space Marines.
Even if it's not that way normally, I'm sure an inquisitor can have that put into their personal regalia without near as much trouble as getting a daemonhost, and from the BL novels it seems like every fucking inquisitor just has a dozen of those fuckers chained up for a rainy day like Michael Vick and fighting dogs.
Like, these are people who run around decked out in iron halos and inferno pistols just for shits and giggles, there's basically nothing that exists in the known universe that an inquisitor probably hasn't tried to do something stupid with at some point.
I could see a comic about an inquisitor growing a bio-titan sized carnifex with an empty braincase that he intends to pilot like a fucking kaiju and it still wouldn't be a quarter as questionable as the shit Eisenhorn and Ravenor have done
