Ok, after looking at the Contemptor Sprues, would it really be that bad if I elongated a Contemptor Hull, put some Generator type stuff on the back and used Deredeo Weapons and converted the front armour to have the Heavy Bolters? And also use the bigger base size.

Well if you feel like spending a fuckload of money, the best solution would be to take a Leviathan Siege Dreadnought and use its body with Deredeo arms.
They're about the same size and the Leviathan even has hull mounted Volkite Calivers in the same spot as the Deredeo's Heavy Bolters which should be easy enough to replace.

Warhammer 40K started out as a parody of sci-fi dystopias. It made sense back then for Space Marines to be exclusively male, because that made the setting an even worse place to be--not only is becoming superhuman incredibly dangerous and likely to have serious side effects, half the human population doesn't even have the option.

But then came people who didn't get the joke of 40K, and Games Workshop retconned the entire setting to start taking itself seriously.

Rather than retcon things yet again so women have a chance to become Space Marines, GW should go back to acknowledging the whole setting as one big joke.

The leviathan isn't even remotely close to the size of a Deredeo, as it stands a full 3 heads taller than even the legboat. It has a bigger base, wider hips, massively expanded leg & rear armour, and xbox-huge primary+secondary shoulder guards. It even has kneepads for its kneepads.

The leviathan is also a 4 hp walker by it's rules, with 2 extra points of AV over a deredeo to begin with, being 13/13/12 instead of 13/12/11. It's just not suitable for that purpose.

Actually the Graviton blasters are part of the power fists. It's like a little dongle inside their fist that produces the blasts, and IA2 contemptors can have 2 power fists with combi-bolters. They can upgrade the power fists to chainfists(still keeping the bolters), and they can freely swap bolters for a choice of Meltagun, Graviton gun, Plasma Blaster, or Heavy Flamer.

Your muhreens can't use their transports or their markerlights, which are their biggest assets, and tactical/crusader squads make better basic infantry for grabbing objectives than strike teams without markerlights.

Could always take a ghostkeel/stealthsuits, they fun to fuck with people and would give you some backfield anti-tank to support those two razorbacks. Frankly one of the better looking battlesuit models they've produced as well, in my opinion at least, but thats a matter of taste.

Tau are easy to paint for beginners, and look great when painted by someone with experience. Fire Warriors are powerful, you're nuts if you get within 15" of a gunline without heavy armour, but they are only 4+ armour and that means heavy flamers, heavy bolters, and any artillery worth their salt are going to annihilate the poor little buggers. It's kind of solved by bringing a 50pt Aegis Defence Line, but they are still squishy.

Ultimately, you should play what you love. Damn everyone else, it's your army and you can do what you want. Just...don't spam Riptides and Ghostkeels. Don't use cheese-ass formations like Piranha Firestream Wings, and play to have fun, not grind your opponent into the dirt. Tau get a bad rep for the crazy shit they can bring, and their sort-of anime aesthetic. Bring reasonable units and people won't care.

They're genuinely one of the more interesting factions, as the military face of the Ecclessiarchy which is such a massive part of the Imperium's fluff but rarely shown on the tabletop.

It'll be a multi-kit box for basic battle sisters with one of each special and heavy weapon so you can make dominions and retributors. Plastic cannoness so an HQ exists, then a reboxes version of the Immolator to build it or a Rhino, maybe an Exorcists if we're really lucky. Then they use the Gemini molds to make Seraphim squads.

That's the best case I can see happening, since it's the least work possible short of doing nothing

Space Marines are giant testosterone poisoned abominations, to have women become that would be pointless.

I would rather have them as special Sororitas than Space Marines, just make a new super-human enhancement process for them that does not turn them into huge muscular apes, but into super human versions of the Sororitas instead. Even a modified process would do, but not the same process as the Space Marines.

But I would like the idea of these new Sororitas becoming part of Astartes Chapters just so they could share their philosophy and heraldry.
