I have never once claimed that the art was mine, publicly nor privately, and especially not to Poots. If you read the thread, you'd see that I was in email contact the the artist at the time and even recently got a message from them. Their email address was a throwaway one, so I didn't have a more reliable means to try to contact them.

And the issue of crediting that Poots was worried about, which we discussed more in length in email since chatting copyright and legal matters doesn't work well on tiny character limits, was for the art itself. Poots has interest in using the Anonymous-posted art in the minibooklet, but I had to tell him that we couldn't do that without contacting the Anon artist to get that license for the copyright. (I did propose other more legal ideas, but none of those will be acted upon likely seeing as the Anon artist is back in contact with me.)

I only have control over the character being used since she's mine, and Poots and I have already come to terms on that part.

Again, I have not once claimed his work to be mine. I even defended his copyright when it came up. You don't have to like me or my dumb characters, but this desperate attempt to find reason to drag me behind the cart in unwarranted.

Once upon a time there was the Great Lion Civ. GSK was their protector entity. Their society crumbled to ruin, their king falling to the Knowledge Worm (Becoming Lion God) and their lands being corrupted by Wailing Smoke, which is mentioned elsewhere as being part of the Golden Entity's arsenal. Knight's mane fell out and the smoke got him.

The three Lion Knight brothers seem to be the Entity's loyal(?) flawed recreations of what the GSK once was.

Apparently, I missed a lot. Its cool, I talked to Poots and Ekoi, everything is chill. Drama is what kills awesome efforts like this to include the community in development, so save it. I even put up a small catalogue of old art on my deviant art account because of this, though I skipped most of the fetishy stuff.

While I'm going to miss the kickstarter for lack of funds and only just finding out about it, talking to poots and seeing something I drew being used for more than a fap has made me want to put pencil to paper again.

Like most of the fluff, it was originally found on shop pages (in this case GSK and Lion Knight 1st) but after multiple shop overhauls, you can't rely on that anymore. There was Inside the Wall for a while that did a pretty good job collecting it, but like the Great Library of the Twilight Order they fell to ruin and now you can only glean their knowledge by sifting through rubble (archive.org). Vibrant Lantern currently offers the best repository of earlier-released lore, but its very spotty.

I recommend rather than grabbing 2 minis for $30, grab some expansion. Just some expansion (go a value one, like Lion Knight or Dung Beetle Knight or Flower Knight).

On painting eyes, since you have it all white already and assuming you're doing natural eyes, just paint in the dot(s) without worrying too much about going over, then paint in the lids around it.

I've been playing with all the new 1.5 item rules for the last month or so with my play group, except for assuming that the antelope loot changes apply to all monsters.

It's been fun so far, the early game feels a bit easier, which means we've been able to experimenent more with making fun or wacky builds. We hunted a Gorm as our first quary, and killed it with it's deathblow card, so we became obsessed with making the Riot mace. Took 3 more Gorms before we got the rest of the materials. We just got hit with plague and murder, and now the Kings Man is coming, hopefully we survive it to craft it.

Get a late game monster. DBK or Dragon King. Gorm is just a substitute for the lion and it will take you a lot of games to get tired of the lion that you want to replace it. DK gives the base game a new campaign too and the DBK gives farming risk/rewards.

I'm starting a new campaign with 1.5 changes this weekend. I have all expansion. Someone tell me which ones to include in this run. You can also pick campaign type ( Lamtern/sun/Dragon/ bone etc)

The bases just take forever to come out, it's a bummer cause I would probably get at least a few and look into casting them or something.

The core game comes with ten or so of the 30mm stone face bases, and we didn't even get shown new sculpts for the upcoming larger ones.

You can just use Oyumaru to recast them in greenstuff super quickly and easily cut them up for patterning out a larger base. Way better than trying to make resin copies to do that with.

We have three big campaigns right now:
People of the Lantern
People of the Stars
People of the Sun

Two half assed ones that are basically just variants:
People of the Bone
People of the Bloom

I remember hearing that we'll get:
People of the Nest
People of the Forest
People of the Caves (Probably the wrong name)
People of the Mountain (Might just be heavily speculated)

There's heavy speculation for:
People of the Black Knight (Probably a different name)
People of the Storm

One of the minis with lore state:
People of the Craft

What am I forgetting?

Dunno about caves. Silver city? That may give a different endgame, but I don't know about a different start. Ivory Dragon has a whole new endgame too.

Campaigns of Death will have multiple alternates.

If you're counting Bone, it's not a "people of" but Seven Swordsmen could well count.

It was from the original kickstarter, not 1.5, that was my problem, there. Ditto the Storm Knight expansion.
