In the beginning, there was nothing but an infinite expanse of dry sand, and an infinite sky above. Then, the only thing looking down on the world were the eternal stars themselves.

The stars were all lolis.
>>52239289
One day a star fell upon the infinite sand
>>52239507
Curious about their new guest, some of the sand solidifies into earth, and checks out what's up.
>>52239531
The star was a shiny little crystal, sparkling brightly. As the sand solidifies into earth to investigate this new phenomenon, it experiences warmth for the first time, due to the heat emanating from the crystal.
>>52239597
And thus the earth knew that heat was good.
More earth reachedtowards the crystal, gathering together in one pile until it became a mountain that lifted the star above the world.
>>52239652
The star was content in its mountain home, but it was lonely, for it was separated from the other stars, and could not speak to the earth like it could the stars.
>>52239707
And so it started shining, brighter than ever, heating the mountain. And the mountain burst with fire, and fire was alive.
And then john was a zombie
Fire connected the three worlds
The sun in the sky, the lightning in the air, and flame on earth
>>52239771
The star spoke to the fire of the vast and infinite sky from which it fell, and the fire spoke to the star of the infinite sand from which it rose. But the star and fire knew that between these two, there was was only the mountain.
Meanwhile, an icy comet streaked across the sky. It impacted upon the dark side of the planet, and the crater it formed quickly filled with cool, dark water.
>>52239827
Suddenly, the one spoke
"Let me create"
From fire, came air
From air, came water
And from water, came earth
And from the heart of the one, came truth
And all these worlds in their majestic glories
And from this universal ocean came time, lord of order bringing night and day
Then as before, did the creator fashion the moon
And from the mountain, rivers ran
Earth below it and the sky overhead
Desert sand, sea, and tundra sprung up
High truth, unyielding order, consecration, ardor, prayer, and universal law uphold the cosmos
May she, the eternal mother of what has been and what shall come true be spread wide her domain
To prove existence came beasts, birds flying, and all the fishes of the waters

After the land had flourished for many years, the first of the Men of Lore was carried on the river out of the mountain. He washed upon the shore, yet lay always in a cold slumber and no birdsong or sunlight could wake him.
>>52240179
Two days later, a man climbed up from the edge of the horizon, where the land and the sky met. He walked over to the first of the Men of Lore, and watched. And fell to sleep, dreaming the dream the first of the Men of Lore dreamt.
In the dream, they met, and the man spoke:
"Rough day, huh? Do you want to take a break? I can take care of things while you rest and relax."
On that day, Horizon, the first of the Retainers began his task.
>>52239289
And then, there was a bump.
>>52242569
So on that day the Men of Lore and the Retainers started living together. When the Men of Lore sleeps, the Retainers awoke, and when the Retainers sleep, the Men of Lore awoke. But since there were no cycles of day and night, only the ever-glow of stars in the sky, the Men of Lore and the Retainers don't have balanced sleep. Sometimes there are Retainers who get so tired because their Men of Lore slept all day, and vice versa.
>>52250430
In time, Horizon came to the first, and said:
"We can't keep this up. Some sleep for so long their other cannot keep awake either."
On that, some Retainers heard this, and said:
"We have a plan. Many plans, actually. We'll tell you if they work out."
One of them, Kaffet, grew a plant and boiled a drink out of it's seeds, and the drink warded off slumber for a time.
Another one, Milich, went back to the horizon, and brought back an animal. She took milk from the animal, and heated it over fire. "This worked for me. It might work for you, too." she told what Retainers had gathered to see her antics. Within a minute of drinking the milk, she was fast asleep.
A third, Kloku, looked to the sky and said:
"We need something to move the sky so we can tell the time."
He tore into the ground and came back with grey slag, which he heated over fire and modelled into toothy wheels. And thus, he began construction of a clockwork tower to the sky. No opne knows if he made it or not.

the star is a loli, how can she be a mother?`
>>52239289
Yo if everything started as sand, would that make Glassblowing a sacred occupation?
>>52255853
Or Heresy? Taking the life-giving sands that were formed into the world and everything in it, and having the sheer audacity to think you can use it for your own purposes. Not letting it flow freely, but putting it to the fire to twist, contort, and melt it into a singular shape, locking it's true creative potential into an ornament that exists just to "look" nice.

Ooh, I smell potential for theocratic holy wars.
