Burning Wheel thread anyone?
Just tried to order off Amazon and it's "temporarily out of stock", how fucked am I? This book is nowhere

It's been nowhere for awhile. Not sure if they ever plan on a rerelease.

From the website:
>The Burning Wheel Gold 5th printing and the Burning Wheel Codex are both out of print at the moment. It appears there is a problem with the printing of both books. We are working with the printer, but the matter will take some time to resolve. The quality of our printed materials is extremely important to us, so rest assured that we are working as hard as we can to get this fixed.
Posted last November, so hopefully new printing will start rolling out soon.
How good is torchbearer, anyone have a PDF or a quick rundown

I was about to tell you to look in the OSR trove under OSR related, but then I remembered it was DMCA'ed this morning. Pic related..
Stick around, anon, I'll upload it for you.

Luke Crane also was selling some personally at PAX, that might have just been old stock though.

Torchbearer is great, but like all BWHQ books you need a bit of a paradigm shift in how you approach RPGs.
Every time I think about how they refuse to make PDFs for this game I get irrationally mad

I'm a huge fan (I am literally wearing a burning Wheel shirt as I type this), and I also am a huge fan of having physical books for my RPGs as I don't really like using pdfs that much and having the dead trees in my hands feels nice, but even I think it is kinda bullshit.

Proves that if people are gonna pirate it, not releasing pdfs doesn't stop them. It is just pissing off legitimate potential customers for no real reason.

Exactly. Instead of having a PDF that is up to their obviously high standards, they are outsourcing PDF creation to some rando and ending up with blurry, unsearchable, non-bookmarked versions in people's hands.
