Jumpchain is bad, we should just nuke the drive and go do something constructive with our lives.
>>
So I've been playing the heck out of pic related and wanted to know if anyone had already made the a Jump for it? I can't get at the Drive right now to check, Google Docs is being a dick to me.

For anyone who wants a summary of the setting: "It's like a Bug's Life but with 100% Dark Souls"

Bleach? Um. If this is gonna be another Viscera Cleanup Detail...

>all of these lost souls...

Nevermind, it's just another setting where the afterlife is badly designed. What is it with mangas and badly designed afterlives?

>exponentially increasing power levels

Oh. It's one of /those/.

Consolation prize, any age and gender for free. Although the "Doesn't matter, choose whatever" is kinda... ominous.

I wonder who Drop Ins are based on, can't be the protag because the blurb says he gets involved by becoming a Shinigami.

Anyway, now I have a chain coming out of my chest and... going into my chest over there? WTF?!

>"You can either sever this chain of fate, and become a true spiritual being (aka a ghost), or crawl back into your body and continue life. Either way, this will open your eyes to the realm of the spirits, and now you can see the truth to this world."

Let's review those intro and origin blurbs again... NOPE! I'll just crawl back into my body thankyouverymuch.

>mysterious clatter of cosmic dice, 1d8=3.

And I'm laid out on an operating table all by my lonesome. Well that's not creepy AT ALL. Time to exit stage-anywhichway.

...

This spot looks safe. Let's see, I have 1100cp and 200pp:

-100 Completely Normal. Nothing to see here, move along citizen.
-400 My Soul, My Badge. I do indeed like my powers being mine.
-200 Mental Censor. Fiat protection against mind _reading_ is rare in jumpchain!
-200 Gate. Helps to be able to visit the afterlives you can create...

Freebies: A Way Out, Portal, Tite Clothing, Hell Butterfly.

-400 Section Of The Soul Society. Ooh, DIY afterlives?!
-600 Training Room. I feel like I live in a world of cardboard...

+100 Ten More Years! Sure, why not.
+100 No Souvenirs. Thanks at least for the memories.
+200 Normal Friends. My companions don't have powers anyway, they're AI.
+400 Plot-Bound. Although since I'm here ten years early, the rails may soon be gone.

Any suggestions on what to spend the 200pp on?

>Hey mardukth Do the Hellclaw Boots count as armor For the purposes of exalted martial arts?
Nope, they don't count as armor. They're basically a fusion of God-Kicking Boots and Perfected Boots, except Hell-ified.

>>52151250
>Hey, if you have more than one Exaltation Do the essence pools stack?
That's basically fanwank. Personally I'd say no.

>>52151493
>I think the current consensus from Mardukth is that Peripheral essence pools stack but not internal.
I ruled absolutely nothing on that.

...But for the record, that's not how I do it for my own chain.

I'm running with a setup that folds all the pools into one, taking the best of each. Since Essence is Essence.

Currently (with Lunars already added in advance) it'll be:
>Personal:
Essence x3 (Infernal) +Willpower x2 (Lunar) +Breeding (Dragon-Blooded)
>Peripheral:
Essence x7 (Infernal) +Willpower x2 (Lunar) +Highest Virtue x4 (Lunar) +Sum of other Virtues (Sidereal/Infernal) +Breeding (Dragon-Blooded) +Motepool expander Charms (Infernals/Lunars/Spirits)

...Not entirely sure where in this calculation you'd fit Secret Power Slumbering from Mortals Gaunlet though.

>>52151532
>problem is the charmset that revolves around their battle form kind of shapeshifting they have is apparently inferior to Devil-Tyrant Avatar Shintai, a single Infernal charm belonging to a Yozi who isn't even famous for being a shapeshifter.
...Nah, that's blatantly false. Sure, you can get more mutations for less mores with Devil-Tyrant Avatar, but that's literally all it does it does better. Lunars get more freedom to shapeshift into whatever, and can get those mutations anyway if they like (which unlike Devil-Tyrant Avatars, they can keep active all the time for no cost).

Speaking of Lunars, going to try and post another WIP somewhere today.
>>
Something odd just occurred to me in the Duel Monsters Heroes jump. Polymerization is a perk, but the other "fusion" abilities are all listed as powers.

I don't care enough to ask for it to be changed, but it's bugging me enough that I want to hear the rationale for it if someone who knows happens to be on.

Chop Shop

Can judo-chop things into multiple smaller versions of things. The effect is temporary on living things, but on inanimate objects it is permanent. The user controls how many objects are created, and the relative size of each of those replicates.

It's hard to fight when you have four extra tiny arms instead of a regular arm, and hard to chase a person if one of your legs is in fact two half-sized legs.

Also, all the tiny gears! "we can't make this small enough" my ass!

The bad news: While faffing around in the outer expanse of existence in Justice League Dark, my main self accidentally bumped into Prayala, goddess of the void.

Who saw me in all my glory, got an unclean urge to absorb multiverses for the first time in aeons and promptly attempted to wake up early.

The good news: I was able to talk her down, but not before letting her into a pod to see how the rest of the multiverse gets along without cycles of creation and destruction.

The unpredictable news: After meeting the Clouds of Darkness she too started to enjoy fashion design. And they were talking about expanding their chain to all voids in all multiverses. Apparently word spreads quickly, because Umor's started wearing god-leather handbags and the last time I summoned Great Ones they were wearing Louis Vuitton's trendiest dresses.

I...may have created a dark future where fabulous eldritch abominations have catwalk pose-offs with each other.

My Jumper follows a bastardize version of Buddhism.

1.) Kill only for survival & protection of others.
2.) No unwanted sexual activity
3.) No lying, no vulgar/rude speech, no insigating.

Other than meditation, and looking for enlightenment it doesn't have much to do with Buddhism I admit. However my Jumper likes the Buddhist tapestry. Like the saffron robes, prayer beads, shaved head, martial arts.

Actually this gives me an idea. Are there any ways to take a large chunk of land and transplant it? I think this could help my inner world.

Or maybe I should plop a few supcom robo matter builders in there to add onto it and put them under the command of my 3rd circle demon I have in there.

Maybe find a way to put my mtg lands in there when one of the new jumps come out. I mean I have a white mana land from innistrad and a lot of stuff that plops stuff down from jumps, I figure I could put some stuff in there maybe...

Any other ideas for adding property to an inner world?

>People keep telling me the range of mutations covers pretty much every shape you'd need to shift into? At this point it's hard to tell when Lunars losing has become a meme.
Eh. Sort of, not really. Like, you can get really big or small with them, and get wings or other appendages, or whatever else?

So you can get a /lot/ of utility out of mutations, and get all of those you want with Devil-Tyrant. But honestly, if you just want utility mutations for something (like, say, you want to fly with a Wings mutation), Lunars do that easier without going into a monstrous super mode.

Mutations will give you tentacles, but won't let you be an octopi. They won't let you turn into a fly a on the wall (best they can do is make you a foot tall or something), nor will they let you turn into a fox or whatever. And this is before getting into supernatural shapes, or other shifting upgrades.

Besides, for all the absurd amounts of mutation points Devil-Tyrant Avatar get, they're still locked into those. On the other hand, a Lunar can just decide to get whatever mutations they want whenever they want.

(Not like mutations are generally very useful in combat either, apart from wings and the size-shifting ones.)

So yeah, Lunars losing is pretty much a meme. I mean, sure, I'm not saying they're /good/. They're terrible as a rule. Bad at a lot of things, and often Silver Solars but worse.

But they do have their good points.

Nah, I haven't accepted those since the great Bicep Heresy of '89 AD when two different cults declared jihad on each other over someone drawing a rune on the crystal prosthetic limbs I handed out. These days THOSE get replaced following a strict template, and membership's based on futures trading. As in, prospective worshippers sell me parts of their destiny to control.

But loaning use of your soul does grant full cult coverage of travel expenses and up to 3% in the local branch's stock options!

Man, affirmation bias is a POWERFUL source of spiritual energy. Why do you think little girls and also Black Mage use it to fuel their ultimate energy attacks? D'you have any idea how much power you can get out of a human soul thinking happy thoughts about the future? It's like comparing a supply of boron-11 to the coal of despair; ridiculous short term energy output versus sustainability. In an increasingly interdimensionalised multiverse, false hope really is the high-risk high-reward soul cultivation scheme for the up-and-coming metaphysical investor!

Well, if this series operates under harem logic the dentist is probably a super genius who cultivates different kinds of bacteria for different kinds of fresh mouth smell. Because all harem animes cannot have meaningful conflicts that have nothing to do with harems, so technology always hovers somwhere between post-scarcity and "at least not in an actual recession".

Also the dentist is probably a titty monster.

You really have to wonder just how many devas/Primordials asked the very same question during the Primordial War.

so, warframes. The way the jump reads they are like remotely piloted mini evas rather than say remotely piloted minigundams. Would this be an accurate analogy? If so, could a warframe be cybernetically augmented?
>>
Weird idea, but if you went to Alola during your PMT jump and learned the movements for Z-Powers, then in a later jump went to Avatar or The Legend of Korra, would it make sense for the Z-Moves of applicable types (Water and Ice for water bending, etc) be valid bending techniques?

I'm just imagining how hilarious some of them would be to bust out. Imagine Zuko or Mako having to do the Catastropika dance for a lightning bending technique.

The Main Character is a trained dentist and just wants to do his job, make a living, but is constantly broke because all his patients end up kissing him and having their teeth eternally cleansed. Shit, I'd watch that. It's a much better hook for why the MC doesn't just lay back and enjoy the harem.

Warframes themselves are completely robotic. They are remotely piloted robots that are in no way biological.

Tenno, the people controlling the Warframes, biologicals hidden away on the moon. Which is invisible or something. I haven't caught up on the latest lore completely yet.

So, short version, they're robots. Install whatever you want into them.

>>
>>52154213
Aren't those related to attack through all dimensions rather than breaking barriers? And I don't think that the spin actually did break dimensional barriers. It broke a 'causality manipulation' barrier and chased the victim through dimensions.
>>
>>52154096
I'd say they're probably closer to Diebuster than Evangelion. They're mechanical, but biomimetic machines based in advanced nanotechnology. Living metal would be a good way to describe them. So yeah, you could give them cybernetics, it's just adding a new part to a machine. Maybe you'd have some issues integrating such comparatively crude structures into them, but it wouldn't be impossible.
>>
>>52154224
Just make sure to take the tech perks in Warframe. The Tenno are pretty unique creations and all but impossible to reproduce without a lot of trial and error with a large body count, unless you know what you're doing. The Warframes themselves are pretty advanced technology too.

>>52154308
I've got those plus a ton of other such perks from elsewhere, companions that can give me temporary tinker abilities, tinker companions with mad skills, perks and local perks of this nature and my cybernetics are pretty much all nanite based these days anyway(after a lot of upgrading and mixing of tech, really more picobot than nanite but nanite is more recognizable).

Oh, it's great. Sequel to Gunbuster, one of Anno's earlier works. That also had biomimetic mecha, though less advanced ones. But the Buster Machines in Diebuster all have a pretty organic appearance under their armor, despite not being biological in nature. It's just that when you're going for an integrated nanomachine super-colony, basing it off of cellular structures works pretty well.

Resolving questions from the last thread

Gate and portal is 2 way, but the mod soul has the powers (for portal) not you.

You need to consume them in resurreccion, but can access powers outside of it

Overkiller lasts for a short time after you deactivate it, but you can probably improve it with training

The afterlife can be whatever you wish for

there's no advantage to sever your chain really, that's just fluff.

First, I was asking for a form to bypass dimensional barriers like the ones that Scion has to shield the world where he hides his main body, not attacking through all dimensions.

Also, you don't need the Realm of Heroes to get Dimensional Slash. Just the Damage Focused class as a lvl100 warrior origin.

I don't know that I can concur with that assessment. if I had to pick only one, I'd go with the 1911. If you're getting dirty, there's less room for contaminants to get in a tight semi-auto, and I can reload a 1911 much faster than I can a SAA. You're fine. If it's any consolation they only recently started to push that kind of thing and anyone who doesn't go knee-deep into the lore wouldn't quite have a good idea as to what the fuck they are.

They're like some weird mixture of Void stuff, Infested flesh and Orokin technology mixed into one and linked with a Transference Pod so that the Tenno can channel and focus their Void energies through it. But as the recent stories have been showing, that was a lie and the Tenno can use some weird technopathy/technopossession to outright possess their own Warframe as a body/make it work without a pod. So weirdly I kind of predicted that.

Frankly as of the latest books no, not much would change from what's already on offer. Outsiders are still terrifying, practitioners continue to be awesome (especially when coupled with either Kemmler's notes, Soulfire or a Denarius), fae easily outclass vampires as a threat and the kind of vampire you can be is subtly taking over the world while Dresden kicks in all the other big bads' teeth. The Swords continue to be an unstoppable force of justice.

The worst I can say is that Denarians are turning out to be jobbers of the highest order, and even that really says more about the kind of people who tend to pick up the coins (i.e. greedy sociopaths with poor impulse control and who are kinda sad underneath all the evil) than anything. And the fae are so damn good at kicking Dresden's ass that frankly now I'm GRATEFUL the red/black courts were never on offer. Because Dresden had a much, much easier time fucking them up than the goddamn red cap-a fae who isn't even notable for being a frontline fighter. To say nothing of Lea tackling multiple Lords of Outer Night and having fun rather than, you know, being somewhat concerned by some of the eldest and most powerful vampires in existence.

One of these days I'll get off my butt and actually play through all the new content. I'm sure my Frost Prime will be grateful for the exercise. I'm saving that for when I actually plan to do the Jump though. It's should be soon, but after Dead Rising. I /really/ want to design a Warframe around Isaac's armor. Knowing my luck, my Coordinator might let it happen just to watch me flee from both Necromorphs and my own turbo-charged version of a Warframe.

Not really. The Housing Supplement is mainly superfluous anymore. Between all the Jumps that offer options, I find I have more space than I really know what to do with. And I haven't even gotten the Ar Tonelico Song Tower yet.

I admit The Bay and Space Dock look interesting, but a little shrinking magic works wonders on storing my vehicles, so I don't use them either.

The Renegade Jumper Supplement is the only one I could see myself using, but even then, I don't want any of the stuff from it, just using it as a basis for some of my story ideas.

Would it be fair to say that a History Monk in Discworld could teach himself Deja-Fu? Around here, pretty much anything is going to shake the beehive. I mean, Soul Eater's revamping was an excellent job and a few people still complained. I'd tell you to go for it myself if you've got a desire to rework it. Could be interesting stuff.

I don't think it will be that bad though, outside of one or two dedicated buzzers. I mean, Raveloft had it as a major event in one of her chains and it seemed pretty popular then. Turned out to be good writing too.

>Fae are still worthless

Define worth. Elder fae can stomp things portrayed as evil incarnate in the earlier books, gain battle forms and such. Dresden wipes out entire hordes of Red Court and slamdunked two of the more senior Denarians at one point. He nearly died against the waves of fae assassins in Cold Days. I literally cannot comprehend your major malfunction when these things regularly have to throw down with Outsiders.

>Dresden is just not the best wizard
>beyond

I don't even understand your point here. Dresden has most of the practitioner perks and a lot of the items, but he didn't have true luxury of them dropping into his lap-he got them himself, and so can you. There are plenty of ways to build yourself into something that can give him pause in the jump. Taking both Soulfire and winter magic for one.

Hell, the jump offers you things he wouldn't date touch and again, the Swords.

Sadly, I am unable to locate it. I could have sworn such a feat existed but all my normal sources have failed me. So I am probably wrong.

I found a really wonky work around, but it requires digging deep into Epic Levels.

Innate Spell (Feat) allows you to cast a spell you know as a spell-like ability up to once per round without needing to prepare it. BUT, you need to permanently a spell slot 8 levels higher than the level of the spell you want to apply this to.

So, Plane Shift is 7th level, or 5th if you're a Cleric. Which means you'd need to give up a 15th level spell slot, or 13th. So, yeah... Get Good? You also need to take Quicken Spell, Silent Spell, and Still Spell, which any Wizard worth their salt would have anyways.

I told you it was a wonky work around, but it specifically says you no longer need material focuses.
>>
>>52157364

Eh, thinking back. You're not wrong.

Really it just boils down to Nicodemus as the party rogue, Deirdre as the fighter, Tessa as the black mage (according to Harry she's allegedly white council-tier) and whoever Ursiel's possessing as the team berserker.

Allegedly Namshiel taught Tessa sorcery but...Harry took him down, admittedly with Soulfire. Magog kept bouncing off Harry's shields until Eldest Gruff stomped him. Cassius somehow inflicted more damage without his coin than with on Harry. And credit where it's due, Lasciel seems like she had the potential to be dangerous if her host wasn't a subtle angsty Mary Sue parody who overspecialised in fire.

And the rest are mooks, yeah.

Fuck's sake we've had this argument before haven't we. Fae can do things in a fight other than cast spells and can better shrug off the disadvantages of magic because their concepts are more "defined" than a mortal's free will. Their magic's generally more intuitive e.g. Lea turning people into dogs, and aligned with the metaphysical makeup of the world. Reminder Eldest Gruff has killed Senior Council members in duels (inb4 b-but senior council members aren't the strongest!) and the Wild Hunt have less trouble killing Outsiders than mortal Senior Council members have.

Except you don't care because you don't care about anything except spell firepower. Which would be fine. You're entitled to prefer one background over another. Just don't pretend your personal preferences are an objective statement about the jump just because you're really proud about the knob on the end of your staff.

To be fair the Skinwalker has to be pretty buff to rip through the White Court's mansion, and shrug off Harry's biggest hits. It barely ever casts until the end, spends most of its' attacks ripping and tearing and easily swats WCs that can bend steel.

And hey-let's be fair, it's easy to forget in the Nasuverse but Servants are actually supposed to be super badass. Being a fighter that can negate all but the greatest magic, blow up everything in a city block, be untouchable by any mundane attack, turn into an intangible spirit form AND spar at Black Court level is just unfair. I usually befriend the cast of jumps I'm in, helping them with dealing with the plot. At the end of the jump, before I leave, I gather everyone up and take a picture with them. Doing that in LOTR was a little hard, but I managed to pull it off with some help from Gandalf. The old wizard was one of the few people who knew of my true nature, and wanted to help me save the memory of my time there before I left. The most emotional one was in Evangelion, though. Thanks to some therapy, the power of friendship and love, and a lot of keikaku, I was able to save pretty much everyone. I was even able to bring back Yui and get Gendo to stop being an asshole. He still had to answer for his crimes, but he had come to regret his actions with the new perspective I gave him, so he helped fight SEELE. Anyway, because of my actions everyone managed to figure out something was up, so I came clean. Surprisingly, they were fine with it, for the most part. A little freaked out to know that I had been to other worlds, but still accepting.

Anyway, so we all took a picture together at the end, and in it everyone was smiling, laughing, and full of hope. Even Gendo managed to crack a small, genuine grin, and the smile on Rei's face was a sight to behold. It was nice.

She'll know exactly which seasonal jam to offer with your morning toast, as she has already tasted each one before she places an unopened jar on your table. She will track the weather better than any forecaster and know when to silently offer an extra coat or umbrella so you are not left inconvenienced. She will remember birthdays and events on the occasions you forget, reminding you several days in advance so you can take appropriate action. I'm notorious for my collections of nick-knacks and useless baubles from the worlds I visit. But I do have one favorite that stands above the rest.

It's not much to look at. Just a simple sprig of mistletoe tied together with a dirty, stained red piece of ribbon. It's still green and alive, but it glows faintly green in the dark. I was given it in Fallout. It was Christmas of my first year there. I had completely ignored holidays, birthdays, everything, in favor of focusing on our survival. Our powers had been suppressed, which made everything seem worse.

Anyways, Raven gave it to me on Christmas morning. It was the only present exchanged that year, but it meant the world to me. I have no idea where she found it, but it helped remind me that even in the grayest of worlds, you can find a little something that makes it worth struggling onwards.

Journal Entry # 1878

Holy shit! Well it happened. I spent 3 months fighting hard to prevent the kidnapping, making sure guard details were up to snuff going to extents that even Adam thought I was being paranoid. Yet when it does all my preparation was for not. People still got hurt, or died. I tried to get as many civilians as I could out before running back to help Adam but didn’t make it in time. Instead I was just there to watch them pick his half dead body out of that glass. One good thing I was able to save Kubrick. They had already talked about putting him down. I think Akitsu is already in love. I don’t know how she is going to take it when Adam wakes up.

Journal Entry # 1898

Well It’s been hard I have been trying to help Adam sort through this mystery as best I can. I already know the answers and it’s all I can do to not shout them out at the top of my lungs and tell him. Also seeing him so distraught about Megan is heart rending. She deserves to burn in hell for what she has done.
(Cont.)

Journal Entry # 1903

Well we found the bitch, It was tough to make it here but we managed it and of course Megan was helping them. I couldn’t take it anymore threw everything she had done right back in Megan’s face all the betrayals… or started to but Adam stopped me and told me we didn’t have time. I felt kind of like an Asshole, he was right and really he was the only one who had a right to call her on it.

Journal Entry # 1906

So we managed to prevent the signal from going out, I told Darrow what would happen if he let his signal out and how the Illuminati would use it anyways. He tried to counter with the tape but the fact is no matter what he said or did they would capitalize on it; the only ones who would get hurt were the augmented. The Illuminati got of scot free. we will be hunting for a way to bring them down after this. I saved a lot of lives but I feel like somehow we lost. We told Serif what was going on and showed him the tape and explained Darrow’s plan to him. He was horrified. Maybe he can help us prevent the Illuminati from tampering with Augmented again but I doubt it.

If REBORN is still here, what happens to the companion import if you are a mixed race?

>>52158578
The jump has you play Sburb, which is a "game" featured in the story of Homestuck. No comment on whether you should try reading Homestuck itself.

The goal of the jump itself is beating the game in order to create an universe. This generally involves the players (aka you and your companions) daisy-chaining themselves out of their doomed home planet by manipulating each other's houses by running the game client in a computer, then doing quests in their new planet(s) in order to build their house skywards and level up, and leaving to a different planet to fight the Black King once everyone's done their big quests and dealed with the final boss of their planet.

Even if you got it the first time around, most of the stuff to do is gonna have to be OC since the game is tailored to the players, so it'd still be a pain to write.

E rank-isn't that just 10x the human base? I know Medea was untrained and Rin was reinforcing herself, but she sure wasn't even reflexively flinching fast enough to evade getting punched in the face.

I'm kinda stumped on this one actually; True DF speedsters like Eldest Malk tend to move at the ill-defined speed of "Harry starts waxing lyrical about how fast they are, until he goes full winter knight". Which itself is weird when a relatively inexperienced Harry nailed Slade with a spell. I guess there's Nicodemus, who can fly and near the last book puts in a very desperate burst of speed to escape Hades at the last second-but who fights Knights and hangs out in the dark too often to really clock his super speed. And the Genoskwa hit Harry, and then ran faster than he hit him for what that's worth. And to be fair, the only BC we've seen properly throw down with Harry was an inexperienced newbie.

The RPG confuses things even more. Mythic Speed (something that should theoretically be incredibly rare) is represented as "you always go first in a fight", "you can keep up with a moving vehicle easily" and "you can move 3 areas anywhere between a small house and just down the street without a penalty".

I mean, I know Servants are FAST. Jump on and off a plane fast. It's just Harry being a slow plodder gives very few hard speeds for some of the supers he's fought, because they keep dashing around when he's not looking.
>>
>>52158578
Here's a breakdown of sburb, really quick.
It requires at least two players. Each player is both a "server" and a "client". As a server, their job is to make it easy for their "client" player to enter the medium. they do this by using a sims-like interface to control their client's environment, dropping the items needed for entry to the medium, and altering their environment. Once everybody is in the medium, it will be up to each server to continue to build up their client's house (which was also transported into the medium) to reach gates.
Each player enters the medium on their own planet (Land of X and Y, usually - or LoXaY for short). While in the medium, the players will have to kill enemies, befriend consorts, manage interplanetary diplomacy, solve riddles, and collect lore. If they do this diligently, they will have risen in the echeladder and accrued fraymotifs and sweet loot, so they will be ready for the final battle.
The final battle takes place on Skaia, which the other planets (linked by portals) orbit around. Skaia is a battleground resembling a chess board, where the players must defeat the Black King in order to win their session.

Some important notes:
In the process of entering the medium, a kernalsprite will be released. You should throw something dead into it (but not a frog, or anything too powerful). This prototypes the sprite. When entering the medium, that prototyping is applied to all enemies you'll face, most notably the Black King. This prototyping is also necessary to win the game properly.
If a player doesn't enter the medium, and the server-client daisychain is broken, then there will be a missing prototype, and the sburb session is unwinnable.
Prototype your sprite a second time with whatever you want AFTER entering the medium, to receive a (somewhat) helpful guide and guardian.

>E rank-isn't that just 10x the human base?
They can maintain speeds of 10x peak human.
>>
>>52158810
The thing about Servant ranking is that their speed isn't based on human average. It's based on peak human capacity at the time.

So E-rank speed is ten times faster than Usain Bolt, meaning that they can casually move, react, and attack at speeds of about 450 mph. This is E-rank. A Servant with A-rank speed is capable of moving 2,000+ mph or about 2.8 times the speed of sound. This isn't just movement speed, this is also reaction speed. They move, react, and think at this speed easily and without any physical strain.
>>
>>52158578
The most important thing to know, I think, is that your game is going to be absolutely nothing like the game in canon. That game went way off the rails, and you won't see anything like that unless you are deliberately trying to break things.
>>
>>52158821
You'll have two selves - a real-self and a dream-self. The dream-self is usually asleep when you're awake, and is located on the moon of either Prospit or Derse (two more planets orbiting skaia, and the homeworlds of the forces that are in conflict).
Your dream-self is like a backup. If you die, there's a short period of time in which another player can kiss you before your dream-self also dies. In which case, you're still dead, but your dream self WON'T die. Also, if you die on your quest bed while your dream self is alive, you become a (mostly) immortal god.
Each player has a Class and Aspect (called a Classpect for short). There are 12 classes and 12 aspects which relate both to the player's nature and personality, and how their powers manifest themselves.
The agents of Derse are not nice.
You may hear a voice in your head from chess-people stuck on the post-apocalyptic remains of the world you escaped upon entering the medium. This is perfectly normal.
The space player will probably need to breed a Genesis Frog, and another player will probably have to make (ecto?)clones and send them back in time so that the laws of paradox space adhered to.
DO NOT FIGHT YOUR DENIZEN. YOU WILL LOSE, EVEN IF YOU WIN.
DO NOT PROTOTYPE A FIRST GUARDIAN.
DO NOT SELECT BLANK TEXT FROM CREEPY OMNISCIENT ASSHOLES.
DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK ON THE BODIES.

Is there anything I've left out?
>>
>>52158945
>deliberately try to break things
>what is the average jumper.jpg
There's people who whine about wanting to kill gods because they demand that "false gods need to be subservient to the real thing", you bet your ass that there will be some who try to break the game.
>>
>>52158975
>Is there anything I've left out?
Above all else, try to have fun :)
>>
>>52158975
You undersold the importance of the Genesis Frog and how you probably shouldn't fight the first Guardian either.
>>
>>52159064
First Guardians only exist if there's a Green Sun. If you don't listen to omniscient assholes, that's probably not going to happen unless your session is linked with one where they used The Tumor. Of course, if there's a The Tumor in your session in the first place, you're already in an overcomplicated session because it means somebody fucked up somewhere, big time.

And the Genesis Frog should be made apparent as they gather lore anyway. Kind of hard to miss the frog motifs.

>>
>>52158810
Given that Harry and Michael were able to react to her movements, I kind of doubt even Mavra was moving close to 300 mph.

And while Harry has a shitton of plot armor, the idea of these super fast beings just dicking around when they could just tear him apart before he could even react doesn't really make any sense. Why don't they just dash over and tear his head off in the tenth of a second that he takes to drop his shield and attack?

"Listen Grim," I walked up to the elder Reaper and with a smile put my arm about his broad shoulders, "how about this. I've got this sweet gig coming up in about eight years, give or take a few days, where I'll be out of the local timezone, if you catch my meaning. You seem to be having some trouble connecting with the kids and I can guarantee that if you and they agree there is literally no way for Mandy to know you've been gone. Though if you wanna clear it with her that's fine too but you know with these two developing like they are they need some time with you so you can show them their place in life," I made sure to pat the hilt of my sword lightly with the next words, "and Death."

"I dunno mon," Grim's fingers scrapped lightly on his jawbone as he stood there thinking about it, "Mandy has this whole plan for them."

"Grim," I pushed steel in my voice, "as a friend I tell you this, you wife is an evil woman who needs to learn that not all plans go to pace, but back to the topic. They need this Grim, before," I gestured to the courtyard as the Grim Jr. swung a Nergal limb out and we both winched as pure Death manifested for a hairs breath, "they start having accidents. You and me both know what happens during a natural born Death's puberty, it's going to be rougher on them."

"I'll talk it over with mah mizzus, but that all ah'll say on it for now." Grim said as he nodded at my last words.

Never heard of it?

Anyhow. Lunars WIP, after a good long time of getting nothing done for two weeks. Between laziness, essays, and exams, I didn't write too fast.

Changelog:
>Perks are finally all done.
>Items are pretty much done, with only three of them still needing to be written out.
>Teasing one of the Manses I got, more incoming.
>Added a bit to the skeletal Companions section

Plan for now is to focus on Manses and Companions, and getting those sections down by the end of this week. Then drawbacks after that.

Not sure on what to do with the Changing Moon's 200cp item, if anyone has any suggestions for that...?

In any case... comments, suggestions, and critisms would be much appreciated, as always.

Aside from making it less bland in flavor text? It kind of feels like there could be some greater variation in perks or some other technology options. As is, any build just feels like grocery shopping where you grab your gun and join the rank-and-file.
>>
So, Mardukth said that using perk-sharing to gain Classpects was viable, but they wouldn't be "fused" Classpects that way (i.e. receiving Page of Heart as a Prince of Light would not make you a Princage of Lope). But what if you combine them with Transcendence from NuBleach? ;^)

I'm actually not quite sure. In the show, it seems like Brenner is at least sort of aware Eleven could channel people, but was surprised when she did it through electronics. Maybe it's possible to know what types of powers, but not specifics?

I kind of agree with that. Perhaps even splitting it up into separate jumps. I really like how the RPGs split the setting up into Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Dark Heresy, Only War, and Black Crusade.

Hell we already have Exalted split up why so couldn't we have the Imperium split up as well?

Obviously I don;t mean making you do it but I'm just talking in general.

You know. I was just thinking that.

Imperium is pretty diverse compared to other factions. While a generic 40K Imperium would be cool. You can really split it up into multiple jumps.

Dark Heresy gauntlet where you're just a slightly less than dirt serf of the Imperium judged "good enough" to be recruited by an =][= and more likely to die in their first encounter with something other than wacky cultists.

LoT is already Rogue Trader-ish.

Only War/40K Guardsman Jump would be cool. As would Deathwatch/40K Space Marine Jump.

Red is already gonna do Black Crusade/40K Chaos Jump.
>>
>>52160327
Yeah, focus on midterms and homework first. But I don't think you need to split it apart into RPGs like >>52160332 said when so far all of our jumps for 40k are faction based. Even the upcoming Black Crusade jump technically falls under the Chaos faction, it only has Loyalist because for some weird-ass reason the jumpmaker decided to include it. Which doesn't make sense as why would you want to go Chaos jump without joining Chaos?

Get your stuff done first, then maybe look at the jump and look at how the other 40k jumps are so far to get a good idea of how to rework it. Maybe ask for suggestions too.

>>52160416
It depends on the way those supposed jumps were handled. If Imperium jump had locations that sent you there, any jump that fully explored those time periods would have to really put effort in.

It is earth. Trigon has taken over. Time to get the band back together, Ruari has a cool new sword that needs to be merged with her soul sword to take advantage of it. Supard Hollow with a sword made of her soul that eats souls for her? Sounds like a winner. It seems one of the few surviving local heros/magic users has joined us as well. At least she's cute. Time to pull out all the stops, time stop plus more clones than can be counted plus draining magic, blood and anything else we can think of from this monster. We'll carve up his soul and finish him(or at least drive him out, though killing him is infinitely more preferable). He bleeds, he's going down. My inner demons want to come out to play, but they are having trouble deciding who gets the kill. I finished things while they were still squabling.

Hmm, now to set up my new home and move in before I get forced into it. Hmm, Ruari is in the same boat. Let's be neighbors! Hmm, thinking back to my creepypasta form, I was basically Jareth the Goblin King. I need a Castle, beyond the Goblin City at the center of a labyrinth. Now what to do with the space outside of that. Hmm, how about a savanna. That will do for the first of my dimensions. No more truly major threats after Trigon. Though there are a few troubles, mostly its prep time.

One or two. From what I've heard in the thread, you really can't do much in the story without a Longinus or Dragon, unless you're just really powerful compared to the rest of your race.

And the perks so far seem to be mostly social focus or magnifiers of what you already have. So at the very least, including them wouldn't fuck up the balance of what you already have.

>I'm in favour of the Behemothskin coat myself to go with the whole social thing, although I think the artificial wyld pocket would fit No Moons better as a 200 CP than Malfean lacquer because it seems like something a lunar sorcerer would make.
Yeah, the Coat's probably the more fitting of the two. Though it overlaps a bit with the Infinite Resplendence Amulet.

The Lacquer's a canon thing one No Moon sorcerer made, though if it's not interesting enough...

Kind of thinking I'd use Wyld stuff in the Manse section instead.

>So THAT'S what happened to Bill Cipher after the end of Gravity Falls.
Huh.

>...who?
He's a character from Lunar Quest, which is why he requires that drawback.

Wordblood. He's a fragment of the former Fetich of He Who Bleeds The Unknown Words who gets stuck in the Lunar main character of the quest, slowly turning her into some kind of weird proto-Primordial.

Also, pic related.

Not entirely sure about adding him yet though. It seems a bit much.

>>52160619
Not entirely. It makes you immune to things not of Creation proper.

It doesn't really help against other Exalts, or Elementals, or whatever else counts as from the world proper in other jumps.

>>52160693
Maybe... It's a canon 5-dot Artifact though.

>>52160719
>I have a question. Does taking Elder of the Pact mean you have an exaltation that isn't wyld tainted?
Nope, sorry. You still have a wyld tainted Exaltation.

>If not is there any chance at all for being able to pay for that?
I don't think I'm going to include the option, because I'm setting it up so you automatically lose the Wyld Taint along with the Great Curse at the end of the jump.

So, if you're able to stand it for the duration of the jump...?

>>52160745
Possibly... I'm less inclined to do so than with Infernals though, on account of Lunars not being heavily associated with having a lot of Artifact access though.

>>
>>52160846
While it is true that Lunars have less access to artifacts, they're also playing with very little cards as is against some pretty big enemies. Using artifacts to tip the scales in their favor seems like a strategy they would be wise to employ due to being at a general disadvantage in both numbers and fire power. Also, to be honest, I just really like those items, so I want to grab as many as I can. Your choice, though.

>>
>>52160881
Hm... Maybe?

I could move it to an undiscounted slot and look at the price again, or just lose it entirely. Depending on what works better.

Though the vast majority of those spirits aren't much of a threat to an Exalt who knows what he's doing anyway... Aside from the most powerful gods and demons. And if you're trying to fight the Unconquered Sun with this, you're quickly going to learn his ability to make "mundane attacks" with quite a lot of force still means he's going to wreck most anything.

>>52160895
Alright, good.

As much as I agree that the sooner the taint's gone the better, adding an option for it feels weird. And kind of like wasted CP if it gets removed anyway.

>>52160995

Okay, this... probably a stupid idea to respond, but what the hell.

I originally didn't want to include Loyalist. It just seemed contradictory to me as it was like going to a mech jump, but not wanting to do shit with mechs. Odd, but surely there's a reason for things, right?

Turns out there was a very big reason: The Light of Terra jump. When I had up and said that I wanted to make it a rather big jump, before I know it people wanted Loyalist routes. The answers ranged from "because fuck Chaos" to "I don't want to be corrupted" to "I answer to no one", but in the end for whatever reason the Light of Terra was the big motivator for people. Whether it was seen as Round 2 to them or whatever, I don't know. But eventually I got enough people practically demanding it that I agreed to it. And nowadays I've put too much work into the Loyalist tree to be comfy with just discarding it and telling others "too bad so sad" because well. I think we all know how that would go. In case nobody has an idea of how it would likely go, pic related.

tl;dr It's odd to me too but it's better to go with the flow than against it.

My Jumper would probably go Loyalist. Mostly because he doesn't think that selling his soul to demon gods is a good idea. Rather he'd rather have his soul be saved by Buddha (Big E) himself. Plus he doesn't want any creepy mutations.
>>
>>52161369
No one cares what you want you autist.
>>
>>52161325
Being a Loyalist means you can opt out. You're a cunt for doing it and nobody will be happy with you for doing your own thing, but you haven't sold your soul yet.
>>

Your statement and that pic make this all the more creepier than it should be.

>>
>>52161229
I'm with you. I think it's weird to even go to the Jump if you just want to opt out, but it's better than everyone REEEing at you for not including it.

You act like you don't carry a back-up soul around. Honestly. What kind of Jumper are you?
>>
>>52161153
Honestly, it's fucking hilarious how the illiterates at SB thinks it gives "CP-backing" or a "fiat guarantee" when it explicitly tells you that a "warehouse guarantee" means exactly what you said. You merely get it back when it's destroyed. People using it to do shit like make TARDISes function without the Time Vortex.

But... there's no selling your soul in general for the jump. The only way that happens is if you're stupid enough to do it.

I don't even know where anyone got that impression. Do you have any idea how much screaming there'd be if that was a thing?
>>
>>52161209
I'd... rather not do that. Partially because I prefer to keep my items affordable, and also partially because it'd likely mean I would have to raise the other artifact tiers up in price to make it so the difference isn't too ridiculous.

As for drawing on non-Lunar Artifacts... That's already a bit of a problem, with /very/ little Lunar-specific artifacts to draw inspiration from in the first place. So, I'm just taking things with a connection to Lunars, or Luna herself, or Wyld stuff, or even just to animals in the case of the Mask.

So I /could/ do that, if it worked better. But I'd rather stick with the prices I have than to move them for the Ring.

>>52161261
No problem. And thanks!

I'm not sure why you're so fixated on keeping them affordable when they're 5 DOT ARTEFACTS. These aren't found in street vendors. These are the Excaliburs and Philosopher's Stones of the world, legendary artefacts. The problem shouldn't be "Are these affordable" but "Are these fucking sweet enough to be the artefacts I'm choosing out of the ones I can pick from".

>>52160779
For Dragon's just 1 will suffice, there are a ton of Dragons in setting and unless your one of the stronger ones not many people would care.

For the Longinuses on the other hand you should have it at both 1 and 2. 1 because they offer a shit ton of power to those that wield them, especially Boosted Gear and the True Longinus. 2 because Longinuses are a huge deal in setting and you defineitly would draw the attention of the faction heads, especially if your not alligned. A lot of people in setting would either try to kill you so that you don't become a threat in the future or would do their best to convince you to join their side. Either way a drawback where your forced to get involved in the supernatural world and its conflicts would work pretty well as a mandatory one.
>>
>>52161465
What about buying souls?

I'm joking, to be honest Loyalist options are appealing to me just because I like the Sisters of battle. Otherwise I would go with Sorcerer options, but I'm also not that fond of any of the chaos gods. So its a system of buying favor from guys I don't want to have anything to do with. Though I know it would also be a pain in the ass to research Sorcery without the favor of one of the chaos gods.
>>
>>52161531
That one is free, but only works in universe
The ones that cost points (mod soul and bount) can be used after the jump
only the bount one can go to parallel universes.
The Mod soul is a companion in a way, the powers on that section are for them (you can import someone into that role, but having them in your body would be kinda weird)

78. Resident Evil
Location: France
Origin: Shady Dealer, Age: 25
Perks: Underworld Navigator, What Are Ya Buyin?, Shadow Man, Key Genes, Hypnos Gene
Items: Dosh King, SIGPRO SP2009, Shady Coat, Power Limiter Coat
Drawbacks: Corporation Games

Virus Customization: My Works Are Superb
Infection Methods: Injection, Activation Requirement: Contact With Bloodstream
Brain Case, Mental Clarity, Null and Void, Protective Cocoon, Enhanced Senses (Sight, Hearing)
Controlled Infection: All Humans
Time Until Activation: Immediate
Setbacks: Mind Over Monster

My name is Nobdy and I sell super-powered viruses to kids before they take their college entrance exams. Or I did, rather, before the pharmaceutical companies discovered that I had the Key Genes, and Hypnos Genes, and someone let it slip that I have the Corprus Disease stored inside my cells. It's a functional immortality granter, other disease immunity, and strength enhancer, so of course they want it. They're just missing the part about it being divinely based from the equation.

So, I'm on the run, which is something I was practically designed for. I'm an experienced con artist, master of disguise, sneak-thief, and traceur. So, once they find out where I am a vial of biohazard virus gets dropped in and I have to fight my way out of another infected city. Meanwhile, I collect evidence and drop it off in places I know Chris Redfield will be as little presents. We'll build a case against every company that comes against me, and I'll just abuse my stored supply of fortune energy to not be assassinated from afar. This is over 750 years of the stuff, even taken lightly, so it should work well enough to block sneak attacks. Everything else I can probably handle with my ki and chi skills if I can't run away.

I infected the people in my Archipelago, and they seem more self-aware now. They have their own little tribal economies now. I shall call them "Science Division 1" for short.

Right. So, I... don't really know what I should do yet. I'm considering options, and should probably sleep quite soon anyway.

On one hand, there's them being powerful artifacts, and certainly worthy of being expensive. It's a quite reasonable argument indeed.

On the other hand, I want them to still be tempting purchases when compared to perks, in spite of the general tendency to go for perks over items. The only item I ever did at 600cp was Nomanisan Island, and that was a bit of massive outlier compared to the rest of the items.

...And I did the "capstone items" at 400cp thing in Infernals too, where it seemed fine?

At least if I change from 100/200/200/300/400/400 to 100/200/200/400/600/600, I'd be pretty sure to include a bit of an item stipend.

>>52161776

>>
>>52162061
>Item stipend
Look, just offer them at 400. Adding an item stipend basically makes it that even if you increase the price. Don't know why anyone even bothered trying to point it out when even the jump maker wants them on the cheapo.
>>
>>52162082
>Fate
>good tsunderes

>>
>>52162061
Are you trying to make a jump that caters to the setting or are you trying to make a jump that caters to what people are likely to want? If the former, make them 600 and don't offer a stipend. There's no justification for a stipend, especially for lunars. If you're making it to specifically satisfy people....first, you're pathetic. Second, you might as well keep it cheap and give a stipend, since that'd make you the most popular.

>>
>>52161636
Honestly I was just assuming that during your jump your soul is kept mostly safe due to jumpchan fiat.

Is there going to be an option/chance for Daemonhood?
>>
>>52161942
Sorry, I should have been clearer.

I was thinking about the more impressive interpretations of the two artifacts, the Sword of Promised Victory that gives it's namesake to the wielder, and an artifact that gives unlimited wealth and longevity.

No artifact in Exalt gives promised victory at just 5-dot level, although the n/a artifact Sword of the Yozi Ligier wields comes very close. You can transmute things into wealth through charms, like She Who Lives in Her Name's cahrm, although that is obviously limited in who can use it.

And while there is a hearthstone that gives immortality for as long as it is socketed, hearthstones come with a lot of weaknesses to counterbalance how amazing that is, so its is just a 5-dot heartstone.

The Realm Defence Grid is n/a, but it isn't really just a simple, albiet massively powerful artifact, it's more like a massive piece of infrastructure. The comparison is like comparing the holy grail to the Great wall of China.

>>52161993
>>52161983
I think you'll find, that that poster said that they see that is point is reasonable, but not sufficent, not that he was right. Or that it owuld be best for the jump for the item prices to increase, in fact he pointed out that it would hurt the jump by making it more of a (in my words) CP Vampire, although in my opinion that is not necessarily a bad thing.

>>52162163
You're massively exaggerating both Excalibur and the stone. I can't say I've ever heard of any legend where Excalibur guarantees victory and the stone must be used to transmute things into gold and prolong life, it doesn't grant infinite on both without repeated use. I was more referring to their importance and legend anyway.

Feels a bit disingenuous to go "Oh yeah the RDG is super impressive but it doesn't count here because it's too big". It's a vastly powerful artefact of a vast scale. It being huge doesn't stop it being an artefact.
>>
>>52162199
