The ad gives off the feel of a circlejerking magical realm sorta environment.

Strictly non-magical realm, text-only is much slower and restricts the GM further; ostensibly slowing the campaign down as well. If you are all for taking five hours of real time to cross the street from the tavern to library, by all means, go for it. For people who do not need the most minute detail on a blade grass, text-only can only ever be a trap.
Which brings me to my next point. While playing text-only, you might as well facilitate a play-by-post game. Also boring and runs the risk of being cancerous. (Due to the lack of headway before posting)

Well yeah, by Jedi you're talking not just the actual people but their whole philosophy and teachings surviving as well. Canonically, the only way Jedi were really able to survive Order 66 was by essentially denouncing the Jedi order, going into hiding and forgetting all the principles they used to live by, blending completely in as a normal citizen of some backwater planet. After years and years of living like this, all those years with the Empire in full reign, I just don't see why anyone would suddenly pick their Jedi ways back up again let alone endanger others by trying to teach it to them. Luke and company manage to do so just because they're the movie heroes, and you can see where that gets them.

I didn't add any real story. Heck I made the "backstory" vague and applicable to any setting that has nobles and tieflings. Kept it short too. I found my static group in this thread with a couple of people going in and out every now and then. It was like a year and a half ago I met the DM who brought in a player who knew to be good and we had a group of 5 not including the DM and all was well. Two players left because of some personal drama that went on, but me, the DM, and the DM's original player still talk daily and play games. We grab a player or two when we need it as sometimes people only last a few months before they're not a good fit or they leave because some irl shit's going on or they just don't have time or something. I have a huge urge to play a Digimon themed game. However, due to the near impossibility of finding a DM for it, I've decided to DM it myself. As of right now, we have four interested players. Need 1-2 more.
A rule system has not been decided on, I'm saving that until we have enough interested players and we can all discuss it and see what everyone's preference is.

There are two main options.

1. Digimon Digital Adventures rule set. This is not a Pathfinder rule set! However, everything regarding player and digimon creation and whatnot is already there and ready to go. However, I've never used this system and so everyone would have to have a bit of patience as it'd be a learning experience for me as a DM as we go, and I'm sure most everyone else would be having to learn it as well.

2. Homebrew Pathfinder rule set. This option is the easiest on me, and possibly everyone else, as the Pathfinder rules are familiar to most. This option uses a homebrewed class based on the Summoner, but heavily modified to give it a Digimon theme. The players all gain a partner creature at level one, the players have a limited spell casting ability (limited mostly to buff spells usable on their partner) but are able to participate in combat somewhat. However they mainly fulfill a support role in combat, granting their partners various buffs while the partner creatures gain the ability to evolve into higher levels. This option may not actually use digimon, the partner creatures and the PCs may just be heavily themed by Digimon, but overall the PCs will likely be transported to a "fantasy" world of humans and fantasy creatures where they will gain their not!digimon partners. Outside of that, it will basically be digimon in everything but name.
