X9 uses ranged weapons exclusively. Scara's golems are likely slow enough for X9 to predict and dodge, and finish off through some feat of causing an avalanche/shooting a structural weakpoint to bury them, or sharpshooting the flute. The dancing sword is a hard counter to ranged fighters, so unless X9's gun is strong enough to break it (he could probably hit it) that will possibly do him in. Luckily the tuning knife has little merit; Scara simply uses it to parry melee attacks and destroy those weapons, so it's no help unless he pulls something like throwing it into weak terrain X9 is hiding behind.

Why did Scaramoush let himself get slashed in half at the end of the fight? The knife grenade didn't seem to have hurt him, he had displayed amazing dodging ability previously, and Jack was struggling with the swords weight.
