You can definitely see his disillusion with the forums. It's pretty bad.
I don't think he doesn't care anymore, I just think he is done interacting with the hyper autism that is the giantitp forums.
He's been slow forever, and the new art style only makes it worse.
It's a shame, he seems like a pretty cool dude and a great storyteller.

To be fair, he also had a legitimate injury to his writing hand. I can't blame him too badly for being slow with it. Not like Parantural's writer deciding not to update for a week because his hand cramped or because he felt sad.

He's a fighter that's built his entire character around using not just one specific type of weapon, but one single ancestral weapon of that type.

I think a part of it is that now that we can see the ending in sight, having the plot being bogged down time and again has become less tolerable. Sort of like how it is when you're almost home and you have to take a piss.
