The fat man is just the impetus behind the veil. Do you push him, even if the same might happen to you?

Fat man is a common variant of the trolley problem - there's a fat man on a bridge above the tracks. Push him off the bridge and onto the tracks, the trolley will hit him instead of whatever it would hit instead, killing him.

As >>52102985 said, but just to add a dimension to the story: the fat man solution came from a recent philosopher (I forget who) who purported that it was the only moral solution to the trolley problem, because fat people are inherently immoral, and killing one to save any number of lives is a boon.
