Anyone else go for this?
I don't know what that is anon. A TRPG? A board game? A war game?

Yeah, my buddy bought into it.

Kickstarter from Cool Mini Or Not, by some game developer who's had success before. Supposedly it's his take on a diplomatic game, and it's got really well detail minis. It made over a million in its first couple days of being Kickstarted, so it's pretty popular at the moment.

I did this and the Dragon Empire one that just finished. I'm more interested in the great looking models but the game is certainly a plus.
Also tempted to nab Village Attacks but they are in a different scale.

Saw no point to Dragon Empire as there was no actual game there.

I'm getting them for the cheap, good looking minis to be used with whatever. Not to mention there is a game they are making with it, they had several other starter armies you could buy on their Kickstarter.
Eh. The minis look neat but at a glance I don't see anything special about the game itself. Am I missing anything?

You are not. The game mechanics look stripped down to the absolute basics.
This is 90% minis 10% game

Well, stripped down isn't necessarily bad. You can make a really great game if you take complex game mechanics and reduce them to an elegant, intuitive core. But this just seems kinda basic, yeah. Kind of a shame, really.
It looked like an interesting idea to play, and I have the money to back it, but I'm not sure if I'll have anyone to play it with.

I backed but I'll probably cancel my pledge once I get around to looking into the actual rules and decide It's not worth $100.
