Should they exist in 40k? In power or chain variant?
The Triskele is of course excluded.

Chainarangs for chaos, Powerrangs for high-class users
>>52065811
Well with guns being waaaaaaaay more effective, no they should not exist.
Heck, I don't think these things even got employed viably in real life militaries from now and the past.

Fair enough. Eldar aside I can see why it would be passed on by some of the other race, but I can't say chainarangs don't sound like a slaaneshi wet dream when it comes to unusual weapons.

Arn't chainboomerangs actually a thing? I mean I think they were more like a Chakram(throwing anus) but still.
They already do, read the Inquisitor's Handbook dumbass. How many useless 40K threads do there need to fucking be, there's a general for a reason.

>Powerrangs
Go Go Powerrangers!
>>52067676
Might as well scrap all close combat weapons then.
>>52068976
Not necessarily. He said real life millitaries from now and the past. Close combat weapons were the standard in past militaries before the invention of gunpowder. Boomerangs however...not so much.
>>52067676
I thought chakrams were an old Indian thrown weapon?

>sending someone to the general
>mentioning the general
How fucking reddit can someone be?
