This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

>Other games are bad.
>What you want is Dungeon World
>It's pretty much objectively one of the best currently out there. It has fast easy to use mechsnics and is perfect for beginners, it's a lot cheaper than most of these other rules bloated systems that cost fifty dollars. There is no reason for extra rules when it is he role playing that matters. Dungeon World is fast and innovative and still feels exactly like the spirit of ADND before DnD 3.5 destroyed the hobby and ruined a generation of role players.
>You want fast, intuitive combat? Dungeon World does that.
>You want real, deep roleplaying mechanics? Dungeon World does that.
>You want great mechanics that reward diversity of play? Dungeon World does that as well.
>My last session of Dungeon World my human fighter wrapped a vampire in a bear hug and wrestled him out a window. If that doesn't sound awesome to you, I don't know what will.

DW shill anon has been stuck in a groundhog day style timeloop for several years, and keeps playing the same session over and over again, and doesn't realize he has scared hundreds of gamers away from his shitty AW hack.

What other stale pasta do you guys have that we can make fun of?
>>
>>52052282

Strike! is better than Dungeon World.
>>
>>52052657
>"Stop shilling strike!, Why do people keep shilling strike?!"
>>
>>52052282
Dude, How new are you?

DW-fag started life back when there actually was a Dungeon World General. Virtualoptim, an avid hater of DW, came up with the meme and started spamming it across the boards. Now, everyone woke up and realized that DW was actually terrible at what it did, and the general died off while virt was banned, but because the meme had been passed around so much, copycats still post it.

So... DW-fag is actually pretty sad, but not for the reasons you think. It was a shitty troll pasta made by our board's biggest asshole in order to get rid of a community that no longer exists, and now it's used by absolute morons that think Virt was clever for writing it.

So, yeah, take pity on anyone who posts it. They're either Virt, or someone who imitates him, and I'm not sure which is more sad.
>>
>>52052820
>Posts facts about virt.
>Doesn't post entertaining explanations for pasta, or post new pasta to come up with funny explanations for.
>Killing the fun.
The pasta still shows up, regardless of who is doing it.
>>
>>52052769
>One sad dude who only goes into the threads where someone is shilling strike. He simply has the worst luck, and every thread he goes in is one where someone shills strike! He hates strike! because [reason].
>>
>>52052851
Yes, but that's the problem. The pasta is a symptom of the bigger problem that is /tg/.

We have had countless threads disparaging 3.5 and Pathfinder.

We discourage unique or original content on the grounds that it was probably shitty anyway.

We can't get along, and insist that OUR system is the best. We'll argue for days about it to and Sperg multiple posts on our rage.

The board HAS to be taken seriously. We can't ignore bait, and we can't ignore anyone who thinks we're wrong.

The board has come to Mimic Virt's behavior. We argue and we argue and we just won't let up. We've ruined the board with it.

It's over Virt's won.
>>
>>52052978

You realise that's nothing new, right?
>>
>>52052978
We were like that long before Virt showed up.
>>
>>52052820
>>52052851
>>52052978
Can you stop pretending this newfag's boogeyman mattered at all? The last thing you should be doing is trying to keep alive some troll's legacy.
It's far better to just pretend they never existed. Strike their name from the records, and just cast all trolls into the same bargain bin of anonymous idiots instead of trying to construct a solitary effigy.
The more you try to immortalize him, the more you encourage other idiots to copy him, a guy who's basically just a copy of far older trolls who are not worth naming.
>>
>>52052978
This mystical /tg/ is like Camelot or Atlantis. It's a fun idea, but we're pretty sure it never existed.

We've always had edition warring and pet systems and autistic screeching. And people take the bait on purpose.

There have always been lots of 3.5e haters, and people who play it anyways. Personally I hate the 40k setting, and could give you a Laundry list of dozens of games I've played and hated, and a short list of games I liked that could easily be counted on 2 hands.

That's not all /tg/ is, that's just the least interesting part of /tg/.

It's also people with fairly in-depth game rules knowledge (at least for their games of choice), and interesting setting discussions, and he occasional interesting bit of homebrew (Velocity is pretty fun, even if it's more one shot material than campaign material).
>>
>>52053129
I just wanted a thread to discuss and mock the stupid pasta you see on this board. That is all. Why was that so much to ask?
>>
I thought this was going to a thread about explaining shaped wheat food product in ones setting. Am disappoint.
>>
>>52054692
But that's what literally every thread is for.
>>
>>52058259
I was hoping to see a thread filled with a collection of different pasta. We only got two pieces of posts, and one I provided in the OP.
>>
>>52058319
Its good form to have at least 5 of your own to start a dump of any sort.
>>
>>52052978
That's just people arguing about their favorite systems, there's no concensus on which its the best (and there shouldn't be) so there's conflict, people shitpost because its the internet.
>>
>>52053129
This. Virt wasn't Jim Profit reborn, he was a basement-tier troll who got more attention than he deserved because we were starving for a new celebrity shitposter. He has not even vaguely earned the reputation he's left behind.
>>
>>52058319
But that wasn't pasta, that was just you whining about Dungeon World threads.
>>
>>52052282
>before DnD 3.5 destroyed the hobby and ruined a generation of role players
This is true though.
>>
>>52059280
>>>/hm/
>>
>>52062822
Did you know that the five-posts-from-OP rule extends to all the porn boards, not just the one you frequent?
>>
>>52062822
...th...thank you?

5 image start is still a thing people try to do for character art, image dumps, etc. If you don't have that much you're just hoping someone is bored enough to take pity on you.
