As for the race pick? I really, really like Green Army Men. Past that, I wanted to make one where, instead of just being one or two guys on an adventure, an entire platoon of men carrying out complex operations; infinite rubber bands provide suitable weaponry for the troops and an RC plane allows me to provide air support, fast transportation for small squads in conjunction with the parachute hankerchief, and coordinate the men better; it also lets me stay far safer than I otherwise would, letting me skimp out on armor options. The grappling thread also fits well with the theme, giving my men the opportunity to gain terrain advantage and opening up the opportunity for far more elaborate operations. The birdhouse provides the ultimate watchpost, a great take-off point with the plane, relative safety thanks to the parachute, and almost complete control over visitors thanks to the grappling thread. It's essentially Green Army Man HQ.

As for my traits, pilot was needed to fly the plane, and clever helps out big-time for coordinating my troops in the middle of operations. Diagonus essentially works as a third trait, filling in for Calculating to let me go for my air-support strategy.

Finally, for my faction, it was a tossup between Defenders and Scouts. Both lend themselves well to my build, but in the end I decided that I wanted to pull off Toy Story style stuff like in the video more than expeditions.

The advantage of flight will allow me to lead the cat right into a trap! Everyone knows no feline can resist chasing a flying target! Once it's stuck on a patch of glue, we can bell it like nobody's business, then water the glue away as if nothing ever happened! I'm sure the Builders will be happy to assist us in the effort. Madoka could probably restrain a paw all on her own!

Next up, retrieving the sword from the Mouse stronghold. Once again, my wings prove to be a major asset to me, letting me bypass most of the possible traps out there. Birds might still be a problem, but my Needle Sword should be able to hold them off! Madoka can probably ride the Goliath Beetle well enough to make do.

Finally, first contact with the not!Smurfs. If a bear shows up, I'll have serious trouble dealing with it - the size of the thing! But otherwise, this should be relatively easy. They probably aren't hostile.
