Son, I'm playing elves and 8whack. I also wish for better allies to make that deck work fat chance.

I like kithkins, as a lot of their art is just cute (I have sweet spot for little gnomish carefree people and goats), but you really can't make that deck competitive. It's good for kitchentable. Also you can't really make it midrange. Look at the stuff like jund/junk even the fucking bant eldrazi, these are midrange decks. They aim to outvalue you, you can't outvalue other people with kithkins that's why you aim to kill them as fast as possible and therefore it's aggro.

Hating on netdeckers. The Wisdom of the Crowd theory strongly suggests that netdecking is the more efficient solution.

If you had unlimited time relative to everyone else and the ability to purely objectively weigh up, measure and compare all options for deck building, you would eventually come to the same conclusion as the netdeckers.

Because 1,000,000 working on the same thing for 100 hrs a month is going to solve far more answers than 1 netdeck hating bitch can in a life time.

That said, some brews are cool as fuck, you get a latge advantage byvyour opponent not knowing how to interact with you and some seem to come out of nowhere before revealing themselves as top tier (lantern, amulet, although they were actual decks for a while, just never put up results in the competitive sphere)

First, the cards in it dont have value by themselves. You rely on Kithkin synergies for them to not be terrible, not even good, because:

Second, Kithkin is not a good tribe. You are better off playing Soldiers or even Knights if you want to play mono white tribal.

Third, Modern is a really fast format and your curve is REALLY high. You have almost no 1 and 2 drops and the ones you have are 1/1s that need a mana investment to do something minimal.

Elves has 4 different versions.

Mono Green, GW, GB and Junk(Abzan) colours.

Mono G makes absurd mana with Nykthos since you have high devotion and now with Heroic Intervention you're a little bit better again board wipes and removal. Downside is that mono G does not have the greatest sideboard hate cards for some matchups. Mostly mono G lists are budget lists but not always.

GW Elves has the best toolbox and sideboard approach and additional wincons with Mirror Entity and other particular GW hatecards. Whatever hatecard you need in G or W is very easily found and sideboards are much easier to tailor towards a known metagame. GW is a little bit slower than the GB version but can be a bit more resilient and you have decent removal with Path to Exile but nevertheless you must attack to win unlike the GB and Junk versions which can win through shaman triggers.

GB has access to Shaman of the Pack resulting in extremely explosive damage outputs with Shaman triggers dealing a large chunk of extra life loss while also still being able to attack for 3. Advantages also being This list is one of the most explosive versions that is hard to deal with game 1 for most decks and you can win through various cards and effects like Ensnaring Bridge, Angel's Grace etc. Downside is GB has awful toolbox options compared to W based versions of Elves and must rely on very proactive general hate cards(Thoughtseize, Stain the Mind) which can dilute your deck's plan a bit. It's much more difficult to play more protective cards.

Abzan or Junk Elves has the best combination of both GB and GW lists but will also require a particularly expensive manabase to accomodate for it. You have access to both the explosive speed of Shaman of the Pack and great general hatecards of the W lists. Downside is non-creature hatecards are harder to play with due to the manabase.

Don't laugh about Dec in Stone, i've seen Affinity players get blown out by Dec in Stone on dudes like their Vault Skirge's, Memnites and Signal Pests. While it may be slower than Path the ability to have a "Bile Blight" type effect on particular deck lineups makes the card warrant a couple of sideboard slots in some lists.
