Have you ever played a Sorcerer but wanted to be more of a buffing/healing character? Oracle does that.

Being able to spontaneously cast Harm or Heal is fantastic and, like the Sorcerer, they have a shit ton of spells per day.

I made an Oracle of Knowledge named Mor'Gan the Free Man who would could make insanely high knowledge checks
Or cast divination spells and would then proceed to explain everything about everything to the the rest of the party with a silky smooth voice.

The DM hated me because I made all his exposition NPCs obsolete.

Oracle Curse is an amazing and colorful mechanic and should be applied to all casting classes. Magic should have a caveat to it - wanna cast a fireball? OK. Your hands are supernaturally burnt forever.
