How/why? To name an example, rabbits have mostly evolved to be skittish and somewhat hyperactive because they're small, tasty and almost everyone literally wants a piece of 'em. If they become large and strong enough to fend off all but the most dangerous of predators, as well as intelligent enough to invent pointy sticks, this behavior would eventually stop being selected for.

Also, assuming most monstergirls don't have an omnivore diet, they'd have utterly disgusting teeth. Have you ever looked a horse, gifted or otherwise, in the mouth? All of their teeth are molars. Imagine a cute girl with an all-molar bucktooth mouth. Not so cute anymore, huh?

Too many times, the suggestions are basically taking the simplistic instincts of an animal as it currently is and just slapping those on a human shaped person with far greater intelligence. It completely ignores all the ways in which being humanoid and being intensely close to human in appearance would drastically alter those behaviors towards being much closer to human thought. And human thought is hugely varied. Our intelligence allows us to be much more varied and much less beholden to instincts than your average animal.

I would say they would be more like humans where there shouldn't be much pre-deposition two members or the same species would have more different personalities than two members of two different species. God, was it Traveler that actually gave us a warlike equine race? It makes an awful lot of sense that herbivores would be incredibly aggressive in politics.

Monmusu has some alright examples of this, but one manga that does this kind of stuff better is torikissa / bird cafe.

In general the things to keep in mind are A: individuals vary, so some animalfolk will be less prone to acting on instincts than others, and B: considering that most monstergirls are depicted as like 95% human with 5% animal features (they're all still human-sized, bipedal, warmblooded, two front facing eyes even for prey animals, etc.), their mindsets would most likely be 95% human as well. To use what >>51995974 said as an example, rabbit-people wouldn't have as much reason to be skittish and jumpy, due to far less predatory threats (unless it's some weird cannibal scenario where predatory beast races feed on prey ones).

So a harpy wouldn't be a stereotypical birdbrain guaranteed, but might have a minor fondness of jewelry or other shiny things, or maybe some (but not all) might be claustrophobic and would like to be able to see the sky at all times.

Wouldn't a Conan-esque setting be essentially a traditional fantasy setting but with less clothing anyway? A traditional RPG setting assumes that most cities are states unto themselves and that there isn't enough security to protect people from monsters and bandits, necessitating the existence of adventurers. Maybe just give a new coat of paint and run things as you usually would?

You know, you could use DnD 4e to play giant Monstergirls and Mecha. Just steal a city map from Google Maps, turn off the labels, and let the player's pick what kind of giant they are.

Though I figure for your tastes, it would be people who can become big. Handle the social stuff with something lite, like Gamma World, and you can play Monstergirls who have to balance being on the cheer squad and studying for the SATs while saving The City from monster attacks.

Most of the ones that don't have males also don't have females, because they either reproduce asexually (the slime people) or they have no concept of biological gender (gaseous and energy beings). The two exceptions to that rule being the rhino people who are a wizard's attempt at making supersoldiers, so they're all male, and the Lamia, who were designed as basically living sex toys.

That artist doesn't even into monster girls he just had the brainpower to produce a manga that capitalizes on the current otaku trends and combine some being a harems + monstergirls + waifus. The closest we ever get to this issue being adressed is when Darling tells Doppel that she shouldn't go around naked all the time and that if she's in Japan she should adapt to Japanese customs. I think that also adresses why the monster girls in MonMusu don't really have a lot of problems: they all come from exotic foreign lands but somehow all speak fluent Japanese and to a very large extent conform to Japanese values. Even Centorea's "muh honor", though archaic, isn't in any way opposed to Japanese cultural values.

In other words it's all about looks, there is zero culture shock in MonMusu.
